Erg vriendelijk, net, schoon en prijs was prima. Voor herhaling vatbaar en doorvertellen aan vrienden en bekenden die ieder jaar een tripje hebben naar Keulen!

Hotel callas en goed verzorgt hotel ruime kamers, goede bediening, schone kamers, midden in het uitgaansgebied van Köln, levendige omgeving. aanbevelenswaard

Het hotel is prima. Het ontbijt eenvoudig maar goed. We hadden twee kamers. Een aan de achterzijde en een aan de voorzijde. Die aan de achterzijde was rustig en had goede gordijnen. Die aan de voorkant ligt aan een heel drukke winkelstraat en daarvan heb je in het weekend last van mensen die uitgaan. Basic hotel gelegen midden in het centrum van Keulen. Prijs/kwaliteit waren in orde. Perfect voor korte citytrip.

Dit charmante hotel is gelegen aan het begin van één van de belangrijkste winkelstraten in Keulen, op slechts enkele tientallen meters van de Dom en het centraal station. De kamers zijn licht en modern uitgerust. Een aanrader voor wie in het centrum wil verblijven.

Just 5 minutes walking distance from the centural station. clean and good room, but a little but noisy because it is on the shopping street. Internet is not free and I have to pay additional surchage to use it even though it seems my resevation includes internet.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. I was able to check in early, which was nice. The staff is very friendly and very nice. My room was a little small, but clean and I had no complaints. My booking included breakfast which was a small buffet which did it's job. The place is on a main street with a lot of shopping. It is next to the Dom and main train […] station. I felt safe in the neighborhood, even returning at 1am on one occasion. If you are looking for a place that's close to everything, don't overlook this place! Lees meer

Very modest hotel but very clean and in central location. Main city attractions in walking distance and just at the main shopping street. Rooms small but for spending a few nights it's not a bother. Not all guests were respecting the smoking ban so from our hallway you could smell cigarettes. No hotel parking but staff directed to close-by parking lots. Very […] friendly and helpful staff - also advised us on nightlife district and how to get there (only 2 stops by U-bahn). Also very decent breakfast. The hotel is just located in the shopping street, the small front door is very unnoticeable. You may ask them to reserve the quiet room facing to the other side, otherwise it might be very noisy. The room space is large enough and the room is very clean, but there is no electric water boiler, it's very unconvenient to backpackers(You may want to drink […] hot chocolate or have some instant noodles.) There is no free-WIFI, but receptionist gave us 1 hour to access the wireless internet for free. The breakfast is just like the one served in hostel. Handy to walk to lots of places of interest or to the U-Bahn. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was priced reasonably and we would stay there again. A great visit to the Christmas markets.

The hotel located near to the Central Station and the main shopping street. Although the hotel room is very small, but the price is still reasonable. My booking included breakfast which is good for a bugeted traveler.

This hotel was located right in town. Excellent location!! For the price of the room, you got a lot!! I did have an issue when I accidentally parked in a loading zone and got my car towed. The owner of the hotel tracked the car down for me and translated. I recommend this place very highly.

I was surprised about the excelent location and the parking possibility 100 m from the hotel. The price was also right. I would recomend it any time and would certainly come back.

Very central, calm and a OK breakfast with nice staff. Extremely small room. 6.5 sqm and inside the building every sound came through into the room.

This hotel could not be more convenient and the prices are very reasonable for the location. The rooms are clean and modern. Internet is available at the bargain price of 25 EUR for 24 hours of use. Great location, clean room, nice hotel.

The good - The staff at the front desk were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I really enjoyed the breakfasts of bread, eggs, cheeses and meats. The location was very good. It was a very short walk to the train station, beautiful cathedral, shopping, the rhine river, great restaurants and nightlife. The rates were some of the lowest available […] in the downtown area. The room had a quality modern flat screen TV. The bad - The room and bed were very small. Breakfast was served directly outside my hotel room door. Sound proofing was so bad you could hear a pin drop in the room next door. I would recommend this hotel to people who do not require luxury and privacy and are working within a strict budget. I spent three nights at the Callas Hotel while working in the Cologne and Duisberg area. The location is fantastic, right by the cathedral and the train and tram station from which I went in a number of directions very easily and inexpensively, all while staying at the heart of downtown. I took no cabs. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the […] included breakfast was very nice. They have an internet connection that lets you use it for 12 hours for 10 Euros but you only use the time while connected. It stops using your time up when you disconnect so I only used about 10 hrs in the three days. Great place to stay for a good price. Lees meer

The hotel was conveniently located near the Dom or cathedral in Koln. There were a lot of things to do in just the immediate area. Plus + location was excellent. + very clean rooms + numerous restaurants in the area + right on the shopping area. Minus - all but 1 person on the hotel staff was not friendly. - the staff members talked about guests when […] they didn't know that the guest knew German. - no visitors were allowed in the rooms or hotel which should have been stated on the site. - was questioned every time I went into the hotel if I stayed there or not. - only one key to the room - I had a double room and a room mate and he was questioned every time he went in. - bathrooms were small but expected it due to it being a european hotel. The Callas Hotel am Dom, Köln, was the best of all our hotels during our six week stay in Europe. The hotel staff was super helpful. We arrived after I had just accidentally left my day pack on the train, and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful to me, offering me the use of their computer, and any other help that we needed while my pack (and computer) […] was still missing. (It was recovered the following morning.) The staff was also helpful with suggestions for restaurants in the area. At first, the hotel itself appeared to be little more than a door opening onto the walking area close to the Dom. Inside, the hotel is modern, has an elevator, and the rooms are bright and very clean. The breakfast at the hotel was among the best that we were offered during our trip (ie., a relatively wide selection of juices, rolls, meat, cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, coffee, etc...). I would happily stay at this hotel again. It's very close to the Dom, and right in the shopping area of Köln. Best of all, on Sunday morning, we could enjoy the sounds of church bells ringing from churches in the area. Lees meer

The location was great, easy access to happening area, but you can't park close by as it's located in the pedestrian area. They don't offer free WiFi, and they are charging crazy per hour!!!!

Nice little hotel close to the dom of cologne. Rooms are small but clean and really ok. It is 3 + hotel. Breakfast very nice. Even parking facilities are close to the shopping street and in walking distance and free of charge during the night. I may come back again ...

Very, very clean and functional. Great location. However, the info says that every room has a balcony. Ours did not, nor did any that I could see. There was a huge window that overlooked the street, but no balcony. the street noise was a bit bothersome, but it died off after midnight. Breakfast in the morning was superb!

My wife and I stayed here on two separate occasions about a fortnight apart. On both occasions the staff were polite and helpful. On the first, the room was a little disappointing, tucked away at the back and decidedly "tired"; and so it was with some reticence that we checked in for our second stay. This time however, in spite of arriving at 7:00 […] in the morning, we were allocated a really nice room, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Hotel is perfectly located, a short walk from the Railway Station and the Cathedral. Being on a major shopping street it can be a bit noisy, but the large double glazed windows do a good job of cutting the noise down to acceptable levels. The hotel personnel was very nice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was great. However, the heating was turned off, so that it was freezing in the room. There isn't even a phone in the room to call reception to ask for more blankets. And the single room was tiny! Does that even qualify for 3 stars? Internet is generally not included, […] unlike mentioned on the hotels.com website. So take a print out. The location of the hotel is perfect though. Right in the middle of town. Lees meer

This "hotel" is more like a building with rooms and businesses. Right outside my room was a knife shop?! in which the people working in the knife shop were smoking in a non smoking hotel. Also the owners of the hotel with the office 1 floor below me were also smoking all day long. It was a horrible experience for a non smoker. There is NO room safe […] for you to keep documents or your computer and the rooms are very small, even in comparison with European rooms. There is no internet service in this hotel despite the website telling you there is. The breakfast was passable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay somewhere else for the money spent. Everything was in walking distance. Great shopping, lots to do in the area. The hotel met our needs perfectly. We were 2 adults and 4 children. We got 2 triple rooms--they worked out nicely. It was mid-February so the hotel was not very full---we had a nice quiet evening and a lovely breakfast in the hotel.

I knew this hotel would be on a busy pedestrian shopping street (and that was definitely noisy), but the most irritating noise was from inside the hotel. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear people speaking in the hall, going up the stairs -- and it's really bad if your room is near the breakfast area. nice, easy access hotel in Cologne city. Pretty good for quick overnight stay

The Hotel Callas Dom in Koln is within five minutes walk of the Dom. The hotel staff were very efficient and proffesional. The room we were allocated N0-41 is on the top floor and has a balcony which overlooks the main shopping street, and view of the Dom. On checkout we were charged 19.0 euros city tax is this normal ?

We really enjoyed staying at the Callas Hotel. The location is perfect , only a couple of minutes from cathedral and in the main shopping area. Within easy reach of all the Christmas markets. Very good quality hotel, comfortable room, great value, 2 minutes from the Cathedral, quiet although it is on a busy street. Also the proprietor is very friendly; and for breakfast on 6th December, they gave all the guests a little chocolate Santa - nice touch. Will definitely come back on next visit to Cologne.

The location was in a busy shopping district very close to the Cathederal (in fact from the room we were in we could see part of it). The Christmas markets were the best we have seen nin Germany. The down side of the location was some noise from around 5.30am not idseal for light sleepers. The breakfast was at best adequate, unless you like continental […] breakfasts. I arrived at Callas there after leaving from Rome as my holiday consisted of touring 3 different countries.... after arriving from Bonn/Cologne Airport....I got the train (very confusing even to locals), I suggest you ask for help.... as soon as i arrived at KBF (cologne bahn station) It only takes 5 minutes, you cross across infornt of the DOM and […] head towards the main shopping street, very quaint entrance (door only on outside at street level).... I was greeted by a cheerful receptionsist... (which I think is one of the owners) It seems that this Hotel is family run and all I can say is that overall I'm very pleased and Glad I gone for it.....ALL the Staff are very friendly, the Hotel is right in the Heart of Cologne fantastic for both shopping and sight seeing holidays, rooms are clean and spacious, basic with no frills but with ample space and basic needs covered, good breakfast, 24 hour receptionist, optional wi-fi avaiable. The only two thing that I didnt really like were that there was no safe in the room (or at least I didnt find it) and the fact that you have to hand in/get the key from reception at each entrance/exit, However these are minor inconvieniences....If I were to visit Cologne and need a hotel I would go for it again! This hotel is located extremely close to the cathedral the hauptbahnhoff and the AltStadt so is perfect for eploring all the tourist sites of Cologne and the shopping hotspots, the hotle is right in the hustle and bustle of the centre of the old town so if you want a quiet hotel might not be for you but for a central location it is great , the rooms […] and service were fine and breakfast was included, the main thing to nhote about this hotel though is its loactaion so if you are looking for a good value for money place to staty with a good location you cant go far wrong with this property. One thing i was a bit suspicious about however was the city tax they charged us on departure, as far as i was aware i had paid the full cost of the room up front including all fees however they informed us that a new city tax of 5% had been brought in very recently, we paid the fee but were a bit dubious of the legitamacy of this city tax. This hotel is located on a very busy shopping street, so if you are looking for quiet, you should probably look elsewhere. The Callas offers an excellent location for people that want to shop, eat, and see some of the beautiful attractions Cologne has to offer. There were often musicians and street performers right outside, so simply opening the window […] provided us with entertainment all day and into the evening. Upon check-in, we were given a room facing the back, but the next day, we were moved to a nicer room with a tub and a view of the Dom Cathedral. Both rooms were very clean and although not new, were not shabby, either. The breakfast offered typical fare for Germany and the staff was very pleasant. The Callas is great for a mid-range hotel and offers guests an outstanding starting point from which to explore the beautiful city of Cologne. Lees meer

The hotel was extremely convenient - walk from the station is less than 5 minutes, and right in the core of the pedestrian shopping complex. I found the staff helpful, and the hotel clean and reasonably comfortable. The only issue I had was that the room was really small and I could hear everything from the next door room. Booked for location and we were not disappointed. This hotel is yards from the Dom and central train station. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The hotel was modern and clean. Only down side was the Church bells in the morning, but we known about that. roll over and back to sleep. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and transport close by. I'd stay […] here again. Lees meer
