Pluspunten: mooi modern hotel, prima bedden, airco goed afgesteld, lekkere douche, vriendelijk personeel, mooi dakterras, naast het centraal station (geen geluidsoverlast van treinen). Minpunten: standaardkamer was niet erg ruim en zag uit op andere kamers.

Opvallend veel slechte kritieken gelezen over de service en de keuken van het hotel. We zijn daarom buitenshuis gaan eten. Maar volstrekt ten onrechte. De service en bediening was prima evenals het ontbijt. we komen hier terug en blijven dan ook eten.

Prima hotel met goede faciliteiten. Personeel is vriendelijk, vooral in de bar. Je loopt zo de natuur in en de Soesterduinen zijn om de hoek. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Amsterdam House Hotel-Eureka ligt in Grachtengordel in Amsterdam, dicht bij Rembrandtplein, Begijnhof en Amsterdam Museum. In de buurt liggen ook Magere Brug en De Dam.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in romantische stijl heeft een bar/lounge. Draadloos internet is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Bij Amsterdam House Hotel-Eureka zijn kamers voorzien van onder andere een kluis en een gratis krant. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft kabelzenders en een dvd-speler. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en een föhn.

De grachtengordel, het klassieke beeld van Amsterdam met haar statige grachten, wordt in principe gevormd door de Herengracht en de Keizersgracht met haar prachtige hoge 17e- en 18e-eeuwse huizen. Sommige huizen zijn nu musea, waarvan het Kattenkabinet het meest excentrieke museum is. De Amstel is een waterweg zonder franje, vol woonboten en beroemd om de veelgefotografeerde Magere Brug. De drijvende Bloemenmarkt is een andere geliefde grachtenattractie.

"Great location!"
I picked this hotel because of its location and canal view. It's location is very central and was within walking distance to EVERYTHING! It was much like staying in someone's house. Complementary breakfast on the first day was nice. Although it was a bit cramped, I would stay here again if I were visiting Amsterdam.

This cosy little hotel has a home-from-home atmosphere, and an excellent location right on the river Amstel, a stone's throw from the floating flower market. We had a triple room which was small but quiet and had a river view. The breakfast was great and the breakfast room/bar very welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very nice hotel with one of the best brunch I've tried in Amsterdam. The staff was very polite and the first day breakfast brunch was free. The surroundings was very quiet when we wanted to sleep. There is only 10 min walk to the Damrak street and only 15 min walk to the central station. Price for the stay is super and I sure will come to this hotel […] again. "Eureka Hotel in Amsterdam"
What a great experience in Amsterdam. Great location with a pleasant breakfast in the mornings. Very helpful staff and the afternoon beer/wine was a very nice addition to the experience! Rooms are small, but were comfortable and clean. I recommend the canal view, very nice!
"Hotel Eureka - Clean and convenient"
We are very happy with our stay. The room is clean and has a nice view overlooking cannal. it is a easy 5 mins walk to flower market and 10 mins walk to Dam square. We had a free breakfast for the first day stay and it is a very nice.

Location was great, close to tram lines and walking distance of many sights. Room was tiny - I can only admire the skill of the photographer. Service was great though and I would recommend.

"Charming hotel but cramped rooms"
Fine for short stay if you accept rather small room. Rooms definitely need maintenance/repair work and some investments to fix worn and dated interior and contents. Very nice setting at canal. We enjoyed the personal and friendly service.

"Amsterdam House Hotel - Eureka"
A very nice small & comfortable hotel. Facing the canal near the Amstel River it is ideally situated - just far enough away from the busiest part of the city but within easy walking distance of it as well as being close to the trams. The bedroom was a bit on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Within 3 minutes walk of a good range of restaurants. […] It was rather noisy outside on the Saturday night / early hours of Sunday but other nights OK. A good breakfast buffet (10 euros per person but first morning free!) "Needs improvement"
Location and breakfast was good. Even the customer service was satisfactory but the cleanliness needs to be improved. Rooms not too clean including bed linen. Rooms need aircoditioning in summer .

If you are a simple traveler and want a good original Dutch Boutique hotel this is the choice. I have traveled to Amsterdam for the past three years and this was a true hotel to stay at becuase of its location. It is in the heart of Amsterdam and everything is walking distance. The rooms are fantastic and have full wall windows that open onto the canal. […] Older hotel so expect older rooms, but this is what makes it special. The breakfast in the morning is truely a taste of the Dutch hospitality. As for waht is around the hotel - EVERYTHING!!! Explore Amsterdam and always be less than a 30 minute walk from the hotel. Our accommodations were perfect! Upon entering the hotel one is a little taken back by the smallness of the place- but after getting oriented and unpacked we started taking in all the details-antique furnishings,neatness and clean!! The staff was so accommodating and the breakfast was wonderful! The location was right on the canal along a cobblestone […] road. The front had gorgeous flowers and a quaint sitting area. THe staff was extremely helpful. We arrived early - at 10:30 a.m., and they offered us coffee and had our room ready for us within 20 minutes. I felt like I was visiting in someone's home. The room was adequate and the breakfast available was great.

This is an excellent little place near restaurants and the city centre, but tucked away on a quiet side street. The.staff are friendly and competent and the breakfast is great. There's nice breakfast room that doubles as a bar in the evening too.

Hotel was fine, fantastic location, great deal for the price. Perfect hotel for a young person looking for a stress free place to stay. Room had wonderful view, clean, great service and gave us a free breakfast. Hotel could use some minor renovation, and has thin walls that do not block all the noise from neighboring rooms. 4.0 out of 5

"Hotel Eureka Short Stay"
Dissapponted at first with the room size but it soon became home and this was more than made up by the pleasant staff who could not have been more obliging and polite. William was a star and very kindly gave us a present when finding out we were there for my wife's something er birthday. Buying breakfast extra was not great although I have to say it […] was a good one in a lovely room by canal with a friendly heron outside the window. Location was great for walkers and for a short stay was perfect although two weeks in that room would have been claustrophobic. Having said that the price for a city centre location was fine. I suggest you have a room overlooking the canal if you can but pleasant people will always make up for any shortfall in the room size for me. God bless. Lees meer
"Great Location and very friendly staff"
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It was close to the centre of the city but not too noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast cost extra but was very good value and it was great that it was available until midday. The room was not too small and our view of the canal was splendid. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had to check in late because of flight delays, but we had called ahead to inform the reception desk. The staff was very accomodating and even opened breakfast early for us since we had to catch an early train.

"Centralt beliggende og hyggeligt hotel"
Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Fin morgenmad i hyggelige omgivelser. Hotellet ligger tæt på restauranter, cafeer og shopping gader. Alt i alt et godt sted at bo.
Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einem gemütlichen Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal in einer sehr guten Lage. Empfehlenswert

Bodde her en langweekend i mars. Fikk rom mot kanalen, veldig koselig. Svært bra beliggenhet, og hyggelige ansatte. Lite og noe slitt rom, men for den prisen hadde vi heller ikke forventet oss så mye. Bor her gjerne igjen!

"Rart hotel centralt i Amsterdam"
Meget hyggeligt, mindre hotel med rigtig god beliggenhed og til en rimelig pris. Godt værelse med udsigt til kanalen. Imødekommende og venligt personale, der gjorde sig umage med at sørge for gæsterne. Eneste lille anke: lidt nattestøj fra gaden lørdag nat. Vi kommer gerne igen.
"Super hyggeligt hotel midt i Amsterdam's centrum"
Særdeles hyggeligt hotel med god beliggenhed. Personale vældig søde og morgenmads buffet ikke prangende, men vel ok til 10 eur. per person. Værelser er små og der er ikke plads til megen bagage. Værelset ud mod floden var dog super hyggeligt, hvilket langt hen ad vejen gør forskellen på dette hotel p.g a. udsigten og beliggenheden.
