Hoewel entree en galerijen waaraan de kamers liggen er sober uitzien, zijn de kamers , schoon en ruim. Ligging goed tov. eetgelegenheden en vlak bij het centrale station met treinen en bussen. Misschien zou de info van het hotel mbt het openbaar vervoer wat actiever kunnen. Service verder goed.

Het is een prima hotel. Bij aankomst bleken ze echter een verkeerde kamer te hebben (met één kingsizebed, terwijl met twee queensize bedden was gereserveerd).schuld werd bij Hotel.com neergelegd. Op de reservering stond het goed! Één nacht een andere kamer gehad, werd weinig moeite gedaan om de fout goed te maken, de slaapbank op deze kamer moesten we zelf gereedmaken, terwijl zij aangaven dat ze het zouden klaarzetten. Later nog iemand uit gezelschap van kamer veranderd omdat de wc niet functioneerde, dit ging wel heel soepel.

Keurige moderne ruime kamers, met meest opvallend de heerlijk slapende bedden. Ideaal voor de zakenreiziger, prima internet en goede kofiemachine op kamer, met uitgebreid businesscenter beneden, en direct aan de snelwegen in alle richtigingen. Voor ontspanning kun je terecht in het goede indoor zwembad en een wandeling in de prachtige watergardens. Vlakbij snelweg kruising en spoorweg, hoewel het gebouw dat geluid redelijk goed afschermd. +/- 15min lopen naar hart van downtown

Gaylord Texan Resort and Spa bevindt zich aan een meer van Grapevine, dicht bij Winkelcentrum Grapevine Mills en Historic Downtown Grapevine. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Southlake Town Square en Delaney Vineyards.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Gaylord Texan Resort and Spa heeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een binnenzwembad en een spabad. In openbare ruimtes is een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) beschikbaar. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en een technische helpdesk. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 5 restaurants plus een koffiebar/café, 2 bars/lounges en een zwembadbar. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, een nachtclub en een spa. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((op verzoek)) en een lokale shuttlebus. Parkeren op locatie is mogelijk tegen betaling. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Gaylord Texan Resort and Spa heeft 1.511 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een cd-speler en een (laptop)kluis. Elke kamer is voorzien van een snelle internetverbinding. Elke 37-inch lcd-televisie heeft premiumkanalen via de kabel en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een bureau, een kluis en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail en gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, designer toiletartikelen, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Elke kamer is voorzien van een koelkast en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een strijkplank/strijkijzer. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een turndownservice, hypoallergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Gaylord Texan Resort and Spa mag niet worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

De locatie beschikt over een binnenzwembad, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad en een spabad. Overige recreatieve voorzieningen zijn onder andere een sauna, een turks stoombad en een fitnessvoorziening die altijd open is.
De onderstaande recreatieve activiteiten vind je op locatie of in de directe omgeving. Mogelijk zijn toeslagen van toepassing.

"Stay at the gaylord - my experience"
My fiancée and I just got a one night stay to celebrate our anniversary. The set up of everything is really neat and beautiful. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all of it. We went during bad weather so we didn't do anything outside. Our overall visit was enjoyable. My only complaints are the Mexican food where we ate (the food tasted awful) and […] the hot tub is extremely small, only one group of about 10 (with adults and kids) could fit and the gaylord is considered a resort so I expected a much larger hot tub. "Amazing"
I don't know how to post a review without sounding like an advertisement for this resort. Everything here was amazing. My wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding before flying out the next morning. I have never been treated better in my life. We were given a free room upgrade upon the hotel finding out we just got married. Later in the evening […] we went to a very nice bar in an italian restaurant and they comped our bill. Room service was great as well. I ordered the crab encrusted halibut and she ordered the New York strip steak. We rolled the cart onto our balcony and enjoyed the food while overlooking the river walk. The food was excellent. The only regret that I have is that we didn't stay longer. The general theme of the hotel is mixed up with no particular style or theme. The staff give the impression they could do without having guests and the vast majority of the cleaning staff around at night dont speak two words of English giving the impression of the Hotel hiring the lowest paid and lowest experienced workers possible. "Stayed in hotel for a convention"
Although the Gaylord Hotel markets itself for big conventions, the restaurants are not prepared for the crowds. The deli sandwich shop was out of sandwiches and pizzas and the hotel manager said that always happens when there is a convention. There is a convention/conference every weekend. "Gaylord Resort"
This was our 13yr.anniversary and the resort was perfect fit for us everthing under one roof was great. Excellent service wonderful resturants. We had a blast!!! Look forward to going back.

Nice hotel, resort pricing- 20% above the room fee for services and parking unless you valet-then more. Resort food prices. No money spent on sound insulation in our room. We could hear the neighboring room and the room upstairs and at 7am when the upstairs tentant used water it was hard to imagine there was a floor between us. The fan would not stay […] on in manual mode to help screen the noise and the area outside our door was terra-cotta-type tile that reflected suitcase/service cart and voice noise into our room. The hotel was beautiful with its grand entrance way and landscaping of pink geraniums, waterfalls, fountains, and greenery everywhere. There were lots of places to rest and just enjoy the atrium. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with a great view. We loved the spa lotion which smelled great. There were lots of choices of where to eat within […] walking distance. One cafe was open 24hrs for the guests to buy a salads, sandwiches, muffins, oatmeal,fruit, coffee, cookies and milkshakes etc. They even made a custom chocolate milkshake with a half shot of coffee for me...We will be back! "Good Business Connference Hotel"
In general, it is a good hotel for business conference. The room is clean and comfortable. The severvice is above the average. But be aware that it even charges the over night self parking for USD $18 a day and USD $15 resort fee.

"Gaylord Texan in Grapevine"
I've stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. I love walking around the atrium with the gorgeous Texas star glass ceiling. During the holidays it is beautifully decorated. I would like to see them renovate their rooms. They are starting to feel a bit worn. The restaurants are hit and miss. I had some great dinners at the steakhouse, but they better […] be at those prices. The sports bar is always fun with the walls of giant TV's and the lounge chairs. Drinks are not cheap, and food there is OK. The service has always been top notch everywhere in the resort. I enjoyed the spa, but it's expensive. Starting to see a theme here.... They have a decent work out facility with plenty of machines and free weights. The pool is small, nothing special but I heard they were going to remodel it. The Glass Cactus nightclub is fun, live music, big dance floor. The food was mixed, good lobster quesadilla was good but the sushi roll was terrible. If you are going to spend $50 a person there then reserve a table. Be ready to pay a daily resort fee and also for parking. Lees meer

"The Gaylord Texan Hotel-Grapevine TX"
The Hotel is beautiful. Unlike anything short of a Vegas mega-hotel. The restaurant service was very poor. 25 minute table wait for a restaurant that was only half full of customers. 10 minutes to get drink order taken after being seated. We received one wrong meal meal, but ate it anyway after waiting 30 minutes to be served. the meal apparently it […] belonged to someone else. When the waiter/manager figured it out with the other table, much finger pointing at our table. Very uncomfortable. Surroundings were beautiful, food was outstanding, but the service./management was very poor. Very slow service for a 1/2 full restaurant serving Mexican food. Lees meer

The room was nice, but a long walk from the front desk, self parking was expensive and far, the toilet didn't work, and our neighbors kept us up the first night. Overall it wasn't a good expierience for the cost, I would've enjoyed staying at a compfort Inn instead...
"Plan to pay extra"
The court yard area of this hotel is unbelievable. Plants of every kind in full bloom and sparkling clean. The staff is very nice. Don't be mislead, however, by the per night rate. You will receive an additional charge for a resort fee which allows you to have high speed internet (really?) and to use their pool (really!) and to receive a newspaper. […] They will return your change if you do not want your paper. (Thanks) We were there on a Sunday, and received no paper at all. Perhaps it is more than the few cents they would return to you. There is a hefty daily valet parking charge. This was a bargain, though. We had two cars and only valet parked one of them. "Nice hotel but not worth the price"
Be sure to know about all fees when booking this hotel. Our price we paid on the hotel did not include other add-ons (ie: resort fees and parking fees). Quite a bit of money when thinking you paid so much to stay to begin with.

Enjoyed our stay -was very happy that although we had not made an appointment previous to our trip - we were able to get a manicure. The shuttle to the Glass Catus is a very nice.

The stay was very nice. The hotel is beautifully decorated this time of year. Was very dissapointed though on the morning we checked out. We had over $70 in additional fees. As we stayed two nights there were two resort fees and two days of parking fees. Thought these fees should be included in the price of the room. If you go to Ice and eat there the […] parking is validated, we did both but were still charged. When we checked in they wanted a $100 deposit and said that will be a hold but would come off, they didn't say that there would be any additional charges that would be applied. This certainly ruined our stay, we won't be going back. It's more of the fact that at check in we were not told about these fees probably on purpose as there is nothing you can do about it after the fact. Lees meer

We stayed overnight for the holidays and the Christmas spirit was a delight. Decorations and lights are impressive. But the hotel was a little disappointing. Instead of fitted sheets, top sheets were used so my husband was constantly tucking in the sheets. And the mattress and beddings are not comfortable at all. My kids even said this is not a fancy […] hotel because I told them it was for the price I paid. No microwave noted when having kids with us, is a necessity to warm up foods if they go hungry bec they cannot eat much with all the excitement and when back to the hotel, they will look for food. "One night getaway"
Family oriented. They probably needed more staff on Christmas selling tickets for special events. Responded quickly to request for foam pillows. Only complaint is that the buffet breakfast was OK, not very good. And the Texan Restaurant didn't have salsa on request.

We had a great time. Wonderful Christmas decorations and lots of fun activities to choose from. The service was great, couldn't have asked for better. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, too firm for me but, that's the only thing I would recommend them upgrading. Also the Christmas Brunch is just fabulous.

Although it was extremely busy due to the holidays check in was a breeze. The line was long but the wait was less than 5 minutes. The hotel looked great and the food and drinks were very good. It is a must do during the holidays but be prepared for all the people.
"Overpriced"
Despite all the things to do there, I don't find any advantages to paying so much for a room. There are no perks to the hotel guests over the visitors. I couldn't even get in to a restaurant to eat there. I had to leave. I tried to eat an overpriced breakfast buffet but the wait was tremendous. Ice show was shorter than a couple years ago. Very overpriced […] commercialization of Christmas. If I decide to visit again it won't be as a hotel guest. Lees meer

The Gaylord Texan Resort is a beautiful Hotel. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.

the stay was great.the staff was friendly,they would say hi to you as u were walking by.the people in the stores in the hotel area,were great helpers.We bought jewelry from the store in the hotel.they were great women.never once did they look at us like we couldnt afford it.they talked to me like a regular human being.i will be goin back to them,when […] we go back.my kids enjoyed it,espicially breakfast. A beautiful property but it's the staff that makes it perfect. Great people stationed throughout the hotel were always ready to help.
"Very Satisfied"
Wonderful room, all decorated with Christmas lights, got the family in the Christmas spirit, over one million lights were turned on, we were there when they turned them on for the first time, They had a fireworks display when the lights were first lit.

This was a very nice facility. It has s lot of amenities and things to do;I have never been at a hotel where they charge you for a "Resort use fee.. in addition to the hotel rate, they charged me the fee.I was very disappointed with that hidden fee.
