Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans

Great place to stay! Quiet area of St. Charles. Offers what an average hotel does not. Sitting on a beautiful front porch with a drink watching the street cars go by was priceless! My business trip felt more like a pleasure trip!

The location was ideal for us since the trolley runs right in front of the house. It made getting around NOLA without a car very easy. The house and rooms were lovely and the staff made us feel at home. Staying here just added to the overall NOLA experience and made it that much more enjoyable. I plan to stay here again on our next trip.

The owner and his wife have been in the hotel business many years, and very hospitble. Lovely large historic home with 11 foot ceilings nice porch and patio for relaxing under the live oaks. Only a few blocks away from a great restaurant, Supreme Seafood. Near the corner of Saint Charles and Napolean.

I stayed 4 nights with my husband and couldn't be happier with my choice! The location is very convenient and both the house and the neighborhood are beautiful. The Inn is an amazing structure. The details in the moldings and flooring have been carefully restored. The house is incredibly quiet. We were there on a full night and hardly heard a soul. The staffs goes out of their way to make you feel like a guest in their home ('cause you kind of are). Another great feature is the lack of hidden or extra charges. […] They leave snacks, bottled water and other beverages out for the guests to help themselves. This was our first time in New Orleans and we were lucky enough to stay two nights at the Avenue Inn B & B. We had a wonderful stay! Since we were moving to Texas with our car packed, finding a centrally located place to stay with parking was a must. Since the B & B is in a great location, right on the tram-line, we explored the city on foot. Upon arriving […] Joe and his wife welcomed us warmly with chocolate chip cookies. Our room was lovely and very comfortable: the extra glass partition on the windows helped block the traffic noise outside. The continental breakfast was terrific: I personally prefer the option of choosing a variety of things to eat for breakfast over a fixed menu. The owners called us within 24 hours of reserving our room to share information, ask if there was anything they could do to prepare for our arrival, etc. The owners were extremely knowledgable about the area and recommended several places to go and places to see. The B&B was beautiful, clean, full of antiques and history. We were provided continental […] breakfast each day with a neverending supply of snacks (including healthy) throughout the day. Our room was comfortable with all the required amenities. They cared about our safety and made us feel like we were part of their home, not just guests. The B&B was located on the trolley line. Very convenient as parking is such a problem in downtown New Orleans. We had free parking in the front or rear at all times. It was quiet, peaceful and we will certainly return again! Lees meer

Located on St Charles Ave, in very safe and picturesque part of New Orleans with quick cheap trolley card ride to French Quarter. If using trolley cars , we suggest you buy a day pass for $3 able to be purchased on the trolley car. Good breakfast. Joe and Beebee very helpful owners. What a nice place to stay when in NO. We wanted to stay a few days on our cross country business/leisure trip. My young son was thrilled with the attention he got from the owner Joe and area restaurant recommendations were great. We travel a lot and this was a really nice break from Hilton land. We will definitely stay there again!

St. Charles Avenue is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the United States. The Avenue B&B is well situated on the street car line that runs the length of St. Charles Avenue to Canal Street and the French Quarter. The B&B is in an old building, but it is immaculately kept and very comfortable. The owners live on premesis, and our visit started […] with a fifteen minute orientation by the owners (helped along by a gigantic warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie) making recommendations for places to enjoy New Orleans cuisine and setting the ground rules for the shared space inside the B&B. Very accessible to French Quarter and Tulane The Innkeepers were very helpful with getting started with New Orleans. We love this B & B and will stay again! The owners are great and very helpful. The room was huge, very clean, and filled with antiques. Breakfast is simple but plenty and there are snacks and fresh fruit available in the dining room at all times. Right on the streetcar line, a close walk to great restaurants, and a short trip to the French Quarter. […] We especially loved the request for quiet after 10 pm--it was nice to be able to sleep and not have to listen too revelers in the next room. We had reserved online. Owner told us off for not having called them before we arrived and he admits to having a "special" sense of humour, but the house, its situation, the rooms and breakfast are very, very nice. Some of the bedrooms are amazing and with a fire place! What a wonderful Inn and Innkeepers. My stay couldn't have been any nicer and the accommodations couldn't have been better. The location was perfect for the visit to my daughter studying at Tulane University and convenient to getting to downtown New Orleans.
