Pluspunten: mooi modern hotel, prima bedden, airco goed afgesteld, lekkere douche, vriendelijk personeel, mooi dakterras, naast het centraal station (geen geluidsoverlast van treinen). Minpunten: standaardkamer was niet erg ruim en zag uit op andere kamers.

Opvallend veel slechte kritieken gelezen over de service en de keuken van het hotel. We zijn daarom buitenshuis gaan eten. Maar volstrekt ten onrechte. De service en bediening was prima evenals het ontbijt. we komen hier terug en blijven dan ook eten.

Prima hotel met goede faciliteiten. Personeel is vriendelijk, vooral in de bar. Je loopt zo de natuur in en de Soesterduinen zijn om de hoek. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ligging.
Delta Hotel ligt in het centrum van Amsterdam, op loopafstand van Beurs van Berlage, De Oude Kerk en De Dam. In de buurt liggen ook De Nieuwe Kerk en Paleis op de Dam.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel heeft een restaurant. Elke ochtend wordt gratis ontbijt geserveerd. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een safeloket bij de receptie, gebruik van het fitnesscentrum in de buurt (met korting) en een lift. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad of het binnenplein. Delta Hotel heeft 48 kamers met een kluis en een föhn. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn.
Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Delta Hotel mag niet worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Deze buurt, het bruisende hart van Amsterdam, trekt grote hoeveelheden bezoekers aan die van het Centraal Station komen om de Dam en de prachtige Nieuwe Kerk (14e eeuw) te bekijken. Het oudste deel van de stad, de Oude Zijde, is beroemd om de Rosse buurt, maar tegenwoordig zorgen de Universiteit en de dokken voor een andere 'couleur locale' en levendigheid in de nauwe straten. De Oude Kerk, het Museum Amstelkring of de schilderijen in het Amsterdams Historisch Museum mag je niet missen.

Very small room but clean, with TV. Well located close to central station. Nice breakfast. Extra discount for lunch/diner @ the restaurant.

The hotel is in a great location close to dam square, central station, red light district and coffee shops etc. The hotel is great value for a hotel in its position and the rooms are clean. We had a large room with ensuite and balcony (view onto damrak road) the staff were very friendly too. I would definitely stay in this hotel again!
"Lucky we just stay one night there"
Totally not satisfied with this hotel, workers there are useless, service are not good, room have bad smell, the bathroom shower head is broken, even couldn't take a good shower, the only good thing I can find is location, very close to train center station! Good luck for the next resident!

This was a nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. It was down the street from the main train station and walking distance to some major sites/areas, e.g. red light district.
"DON'T SLEEP ON THE STREET"
We spent 3 nights in 2 separate rooms. 1 room was on the 5th floor with elevator service only to the 4th floor. Very difficult with heavy luggage. Room was 3 beds and no room to walk. Substandard. 2nd room was on the 1st floor facing the street with a wonderful view of trash and pigeons on the top of the restaurant canopy below. Street noise so intense […] all night, sleep was impossible. Door open blocking staircase making entry when crowded almost impossible. Included breakfast was excellent. Good luck. Lees meer
"Terrible hotel at a great location"
The hotel location is great... close to the Central Train Station and the center of the city. However the hotel itself is really old, the single bed was lumpy, and the room were really small. I do not understand how this hotel can have a 3star rating.

Certainly not the Ritz but friendly welcoming reception staff, decent room and decent breakfast. TV channels included about 6 British channels, central location.

very close to main station. but the building was little old. bathroom was not good... it was good to stay a night though.

this website says this hotel is 3 stars but compare to the other 3 stars hotel, this hotel is not as good. Very small, no space in Bathroom. the bed is very soft. but at least this hotel has wifi. breakfast is not so bad.

Conveniently easy to reserve. Outstanding economy in comparison with included breakfast. Outstanding location close to the centralstation in the middle of Amsterdam center. "The great location is not worth the stay."
It feels like you are in a boarding house. Although the location was great the hotel room was the worst I have ever had. Stay away from this place.
Great location but not great quality. Our shower did not work, although we did not complain as we were only staying for one night. 2 of us also got badly bitten by bed bugs.

This hotel needs to be renovated. The walls are aged and you can see the cracks. The rooms are extremely small, the toilet seat moved when you moved. The bathroom was not clean and unsanitary. The bed was suppose to be double, however they were 2 single flat twin beds pushed together that kept separating. The elevator was barely big enough for 2 and […] it scrapped against the wall as well as you could see the inside of the shaft. The staff was not friendly and they make you leave your key with them everytime you went out. The hallways carpet wreaked of marijuana and was worn badly. "Delta Hotel in Amsterdam"
The hotel location was awesome and that is the only plus.. the receptionist was very rude and the restaurant for the hotel was also rude.. they wouldn't let us heat food and eat in our room .. we have dietary conditions so we always carry our food .. they made it impossible for us to work with them .. the rudeness was intolerable ...

stayed here for 3 nights with 5 other friends, when we first walked into the hotel it was nice, clean and fresh looking, but that all changed walking up the stairs to our room, torn and dirty carpets and a smell of damp.we then went into the room dirth mirror in the main roon , wall paper torn and mouldy and the beds you would be more comfortable sleeping […] on the floor.second night could here mice running around the room, on the last day a friend was woken up by a mouse running across her pillow. how nice, told reception but too late at this stage Lees meer
The Delta City hotel Amsterdam is definety a place to miss. The room was tiny. We had a hole in the floor under the carpet st the end of the beds and main walkway that was dangerous. The walls were paper thin and you could hear the bed creaking when someone turned over. Staff on the last day were diwnright rude not only to us but other guests booking […] out. Overall the hotel is grubby and in need of renovation. I got a box room in the roof - lift doesn't go to top floor. Internet access only in public areas. The breakfast was uedible - I got to the dining room at 8.15 to find a couple of slices of cheese that looked like they had been there all night and some kind of lhalf cooked mashed bacon. I stayed with two friends at the Delta Hotel in September. It certainly isn't three star, I would say it merits one star. It is more like a hostel than a hotel. We arrived before check-in time and were told to come back at 11 o'clock. We asked to use the toilet which was via the cooking area. After seeing the cooking area we didn't eat breakast in the […] hotel!!! I honestly wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. We didn't check it out on Trip Advisor before we booked it, had we done that we definitely wouldn't have booked it. Despite our accommodation we did enjoy our visit to Amsterdam. Ok place to bed down for the night but definitely not more than a night. Provides a decent bed in a good location and has a restaurant. Not worth the amount paid though.

Perfect location - just a few minutes walk from central train station, tram stops, shops, cafes and the popular tourist sights. Check-in was painless, small-lift was a bit ropey but room was comfortable and shower was excellent in a walk-in bathroom - although hand basin was in the bedroom. My room was at the rear and the view was just roofing, however […] I actually liked the privacy. Breakfast was just about satisfactory in the restaurant next door, Cereal was crap but nothing wrong with bacon, scrambled eggs and baked beans. I would visit again. Lees meer
"Rough and Ready"
Hotel in bad state of decay, breakfast was horrible. The hotel staff are friendly though and the location is ideal. It advertised parking included which isn't true, its a service where someone takes your car to a location in Amsterdam which isn't my idea of city parking.
Great location. Friendly staff...until they burst into our room without even knocking and demanded that we leave because they got our reservations mixed up. I would look for a different place next time!!

The hotel is in a great location next to the Patat Mat shop on Damrak. Hotel staff was VERY friendly and professional. The room was TINY. Bed was uncomfortable and small, more like a cot. Nice flat screen TV. Slow lift. Breakfast was fine.

"Good location but poor facility"
I was generally disappointed, but it could be an issue of the standard of service one sees in other countries. Maybe this is the norm in Amesterdam.. Nevertheless, there is no doubt you'll get very little value for your money by staying in this hotel. I paid certain rate, let us call it x, and got nothing more than a 0.25x of actual value.

no matter how many times we went in or out seeing the same staff person, she could never remember that we were guests, seems a bit detached from her job, and a bit snotty.. our room was fine except for an odd smell . Great spot for a night and central to downtown Amsterdam. The staff was very accomodating and very friendly. Just watch out for the extra's that are charged to you when you arrive, tourist tax, etc. Would be back there again as it does come with breakfast!! Great option.

The service was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent except there was no access for ttaxis. The faciliyis soewhat rundown and there is no air conditioning. Our room faced another room and that was it. I was bare bones living.

Not bad for what I paid. Staff was friendly. No AC. Excellent location for some Amsterdam action. Easy walk from Central Station. Pretty good resturant too. Bed was wedged between a radiator and a desk. Desk was higher than the bed. Private shower and toilet. A little loud but it is Amsterdam.

be very careful they advertise car parking self park for 21 Euro per night when you arrive its 31 Euro because the man! has to park it for you the this hotel is most certainly 3 star look for some others near they are a whole lot better our room was a joke it was about 14 ft long by 6 ft wide the beds were top to tail and 2.6 wide be warned avoid like […] the plague Lees meer
