Mövenpick Resort Aswan ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in het hartje van Aswan, dicht bij Aswan Bazaar, Kitchener's Island en Tombs of the Nobles. In de buurt liggen ook Mausoleum of the Aga Khan en Nubian Museum.
Resortvoorzieningen.
Mövenpick Resort Aswan heeft een buitenzwembad, een turks stoombad en een sauna. Dit resort met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en secretariële diensten. Dit resort in luxe stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een zwembadbar. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen in deze accommodatie in art-decostijl zijn onder andere een kinderzwembad, een dakterras en een kinderclub. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((24 uur beschikbaar)). De accommodatie beschikt over speciaal daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes. De volledige renovatie van deze accommodatie werd in 2007 voltooid.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer heeft een balkon met uitzicht op de rivier, de stad of het zwembad. Mövenpick Resort Aswan heeft 230 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van de snelle internetverbinding (via kabel) op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet. Elke accommodatie biedt een bureau, een gratis krant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en verduisterende gordijnen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals massagebehandelingen op de kamer, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en extra handdoeken/beddengoed. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden terwijl een huishoudservice dagelijks beschikbaar is.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"Far from the madding crowd"
In the middle of the river so it is quiet but the down side is that you have to wait for the boat to get you there. Sometimes you have to wait longer than you like and it cost you more tips than it is worth to get your luggage there. We had a junior suite which was very comfortable but located on the ground floor meant that we had no view because of […] trees right in front of the windows. Cheaper rooms higher up have better views. Restaurant at the top of the tower is very expensive and not worth it. Restaurant lower down was mainly buffet and seemed to be aimed at the locals. "Mövenpick Aswan - quiet on Elephantine Island"
Perfect place to relax for a few days in Aswan - quiet, beautifull garden, great pool, easy to take the shuttle boat... Easy to visit the sites from the hotel. We loved our stay of 3 nights in a junior suite with my 2 girls - 16 & 12 years old.

He planned to stay in Aswan for two days and ended up staying four in large part to the great ammenities and service at Movenpick hotel. It is a great place to see the sites in Aswan and then retreat to the island for tranquility. The pool is wonderful and the staff at the hotel is exceptional. Would definately recommend this hotel.

The movenpick was a mixture -- horrible building, looks like a prison from outside, a real disgrace in terms of architecture. No charm. There is also no outside terrace upstairs,.which makes no sense. but rooms are pretty good, very clean and well-equipped. Service a bit dozy, but not bad. "Do not stay the Movenpick"
Out of the 3 hotels that we stayed in during our visit to Egypt, this hotel was by far the most expensive hotel, with the worst service. We stayed in hotels that was half as much and were treated much better. After a 13 hour train ride, we had to wait for over an hour to get our room and this was after an argument about the price of the room. The rooms […] were subpar, the services over priced, and the service was seriously lacking. Ever time we would purchase something from the hotel and tried to pay for it no one ever had change and expected that the change should be a tip, even though the service didn't match the tip. Then when we checked out, and make our train to the next location. They tried to charge us for services that we already payed for. My wife ended up getting sick on the trip and requested more blankets, and they never showed up with them. Because of their incompetence we came close to missing our train, causing us more stress. We were not the only one experience this, there was a nice english couple that was going through the same problems. Aswan is a beautiful city, and i would suggest visiting it. "Observe the nature of the Nile at Dawn and Dusk"
This is a perfect location if you like to see sunrise , sunset and nature....the Nile seems to become still like a mirror...to see the birds swooping, hear the sound of distant pump boats and the sail gracefully passing by in the gentle wind....truly magical. you have to visit this place at least once in your life....

the staff were very helpful, there was a thomas cook kiosk in the hotel to make booking travel to abu simbel easy.....we rode on a felucca to the first rapids, so much fun......great pool which is where we spent most afternoons

For a hotel in Aswan, the location if ideal. It is on an island on the nile with great views. The facilities are great, infinity pool,hooka area, and rooftop.

"bon 5 étoiles"
Hotel de bon standing, confortable, calme. Tres vilain exterieurement et mal pensé (chambres eparpilées sur une superficie incroyable, parfois difficile a trouver, piscine très belle mais pour trouver l'accès il faut chercher, tout comme la belle salle du petit déjeuner, très complet par ailleurs). "sur l'île Elephantine"
L'hôtel sur trouve sur l'île Elephantine, une situation idéale! Il est malheureusement très moche, avec une salle panoramique en forme de tour de contrôle d'aéroport. Le seul moyen de ne pas être affligé de cette architecture de type soviétique, c'est... d'y séjourner, ainsi on ne s'en rend pas compte dans le paysage alentour. L'hôtel est impeccable, […] le personnel très serviable. Petit bémol : dommage que l'accès au petit village nubien au milieu de l'île soit fermé par des murs d'enceinte, un accès direct serait bien utile, car ce village est très typique. Lees meer
It is supposed to be the best hotel in Aswan and the hotel is OK, but not ordinary Mövenpick standard. The food was OK and the room was OK, but nothing extra. It is not very clean, but I have seen much worse in Egypt.. The most disturbing was the sound at 5 a.m. from the Mosque. The hotel should have sound proof windows.
"Nice hotel"
Its a nice hotel but the location is on an island, so there is some waiting whenever you want to go back and forth from the hotel, the food is good, rooms are very nice, but of course quite expensive. The bad experience I had was when I tried to take a shower at the hotel, but the water was ice cold, so i called room service. They came along and said […] they fixed it. But when i tried once again the same thing happened. I accept that there can be problems with water in egypt, however I don't find it acceptable that I pay this price for a hotel and when they say they fixed something and it doesn't work, it's bad. Desde lejos parece un horror, pero en cuanto llegas la arquitectura setentera ha envejecido muy bien, y el hotel esta muy bien cuidado. La piscina es enorme y tiene vistas preciosas al nilo y a la ciudad. La habitación era amplia y cómoda, y teníamos vistas privilegiadas. La comida muy decente, tanto en los menús de restaurante como en el desayuno (gran […] buffet). El barco te lleva a la ciudad cada 15 minutos, así que el aislamiento es relativo y sobretodo voluntario. Pasamos 4 días en este hotel y nos trataron de fábula y estuvimos muy cómodos. "最上階のパノラマバーからの眺めは最高です。"
ジュニアスイートに宿泊しましたがとても快適に過ごすことができました。朝食も食べきれないほどふんだんにありますが、どれもおいしかったです。また、ホテルのパノラマバーから見る眺めは本当に最高です。夕方から夜にかけて本当にナイルの川とアスワンの街並みがきれいに見えます。

l'hotel ha lo standard della sua categoria la hol però è molto fredda i mobili sono mediocri. la camera è carina, pulita, spaziosa. bella la collocazione dell'hotel sull'isola. la struttura è davvero brutta con una torre altissima che rovina il paesaggio. ottima colazione
