Prima hotel, rustig gelegen. Ontbijt wel wat duur voor wat je krijgt, ouderwetse TV met slecht beeld, airco wat rumoerig, verder alles netjes en in orde.

Het hotel biedt wat je hoopt aan te treffen: comfortabel, rustig, in het centrum, vlak bij de Grote Markt. Kamers waren ruim en comfortabel. Niet bijzonder luxe. Het was eerder 3+ ster dan een dikke 4. Ontbijt was uitstekend: lekker uitgebreid en prima verzorgt.

Perfectly situated in the heard of the old Brussels, this was a gem. Within walking distance of most historical landmarks, quiet and comfortable, and at a rate you'd expect from far outside in the suburbs. Would go again without hesitation.

Pretty good bang for the buck. Nothing spectacular, above average French standard (outside major US chains). Decent WiFi in room, decent work area, poor TV-channels. Breakfast was ok. Walking distance to center (Grand Place in 10 minutes). Located on quiet backstreet. Wouldn't spend a week here, but works well for 1 or 2 nights on business.

The bed had a blanket with hairs on it and a burn mark (at least the sheets looked clean). The shower curtain and window curtain in the shower had mold on it. The hotel bar is a small room with nobody there ( the receptionists job?). The hotell is on a hill. We got tired of walking.

Enjoyed our stay May 17-18. Very nice for the price @$112. Front desk very helpful esp. Fernando. Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful neighborhood. Everything walking distance. Highly recommend.

Exe Sablon met all my needs. If you are looking for a simple place to stay within walking distance of places to eat and see then this is the hotel for you. It's not fancy but a clean, quiet, safe place. I went with a friend but would feel comfortable being there and in the area on my own. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. We booked a […] bus tour to Amsterdam for the day through the hotel; they arranged our taxi back to the airport (which is less than 30 minutes away); and, even gave us an umbrella on a rainy day. This hotel is ok if you pay 70 euro for it, but since I paid 200 euro, I felt ripped off. The "sauna" in the basement is not much more than a cupboard and the gym is one running band, blocking the sauna door. Moreover, it wasn't at all in use or usable.

Average stay at best. Old furnishings, hard to find hotel, gym doesn't even qualify for one. In the cellar along with the maids utility closet.

Location is good - down an alley way from the sablon and market square and a 10 min walk to grand place. The French gal at check in when we arrived was very rude though which started the tone of the stay, the guy who helped us on check out was nice. The room was ok at first but the carpet and bedding all needs replacing. The bed was literally 2 mattresses […] shoved together, no cover or padding at all, just a thin sheet and the bedding was old. My husband’s side of the bed squeaked horribly every time he moved or we sat down. Fine if you are looking for a convenient 2 star but do not expect anything more. This is a simple, budget hotel in a fairly central location (you can get to the maintouristic places and the Central train station in 10 minutes or even 5 through a gallery open during the day). The hotels location is fantastic! Right near the Grand Palace and Sablon but not too close. It's off on a side street so it's not noisy at all. There's a lovely chocolatier just up the street. Was very happy with this hotel. Its in a quiet location but only 5 mins walk from Central Station and less than 10 from Grand Place. Had a rather unusual room,kind of split level suite with a sitting room downstairs and a spiral staircase leading to a double bedroom and bathroom upstairs. For the money it was amazing value,one annoying thing though […] was that neither of the bedside lights worked,and the front desk were unable to assist at that time in the evening. Quiet location, but close enough to the centre to be useful. Room was quite spacious and well maintained. Staff were helpful and accomodating. Have stayed here several times and always re-book when visiting Brussels for work. Price is around average for Brussels, but good discounts through Expedia make it more attactive.

Could not have picked a better hotel, especially at this price. A one-night stay, staff excellent, facilities wonderful, less than 5-minute walk to Central train station. short walk (10 minutes?) to Grand Place; great restaurants and shops nearby (Sablon). Will definitely stay here again.

After reading reviews of similarly priced and centrally located hotels we decided to book Exe Sablon. Don't expect wonders but it's great value for money. It's clean, quiet and, most importantly, located conveniently 8 minute walk from Grand Place, 6 minutes from the museum of fine arts and 5 minute walks from my favorite park in Brussels - lovely Petit […] Sablon. A disposable toothbrush was a nice surprise too. The only negative was the view on a big governmental building, but we were outside most of the time so didn't mind it that much. Lees meer

Nice, courteous staff. Just a couple minutes from the train station, and easily walk-able to the middle of town, or just get on the bus. Restaurants in the immediate area are a little expensive. Surrounding street was very quiet at night.

Superior! They were overbooked and so our regular rooms had been rented, but they upgraded us to their best suites including the "Corneil" at no extra charge. It was spacious and luxurious with great amenities! We were extremely pleased.!

Our room was nice, large and clean. Service on the front desk was quick, polite and efficient, they were able to quickly change us from a double to twin room and helped us find a restaurant which was still open despite our late evening arrival. I loved the location of this hotel. Very easy walking access to the Grande Plance, the Central Train Station, the Museum block and National Library (where I was working) and not far to the shops on Avenue Louise either. This hotel is good value for the price. However, it is not a 4-star hotel by any stretch. Plus points: Very close to everything, 5-minute walk from Central Station, very central, good price. Minus: Trucks show up early morning (garbage collection, perhaps) and they are loud. You can't sleep through that noise.

This hotel was on a quiet off-street just a 5-minute walk from Brussels Central train station and the main old city sites. Good hotel in location close to tourist area of Brussels. Well appointed room. Unusually, the loo was in a separate room from the bathroom which meant that after visiting the loo you had to walk to the bathroom to use the washbasin, so it would have been better to have a small washbasin in the loo. Breakfast was good.

Excellent hotel for the price paid - really good value. Parking is a 30 second walk away (€ 15 / night). Good breakfast had hot (bacon / scrambled egg) and cold (meat / cheese etc) plus pastries etc. Only comment is that by 9am all hot food had gone! Bedrooms very clean, although my heating system did not work this was very quickly sorted out with a […] stand alone electric radiator within 5 minutes of pointing out the problem. We stayed one night at Sablon Hotel towards the end of October. The location was close to every thing. The room was decent size but was too hot! We couldn't open the window because it was chained shut and there was no AC in the room. Overall it was a very uncomfortable stay for us due to the hot and stuffy room.
