International Garden Hotel Narita in Narita

Simpel maar prima hotel voor een overnachting tijdens een vliegtuigtransfer. Buffet helaas wat matig door veel lauw eten. De kamer was verder prima schoon, met een fijne badkamer.

We only stayed one night but would like to have stayed longer. Bedroom was very spacious. Bathrobes and slippers and toiletries all supplied. Also sachets of Green Tea. We spent about twenty minutes in the external Jacuzzi just before sunset which was relaxing and enjoyable. We booked a table for 20.00hrs for the evening buffet dinner and were looking […] forward to a long and lazy meal. Unfortunately we hadn't realised that everything is cleared away at 21.00hrs so it all ended in a rush. Food was good and you have the option of paying 700 yen extra to drink as much beer, wine and sake as you wish. Non alcoholic and beverages are included in dinner price. All good value. Free shuttle bus which runs on a timetable will take you to airport, Narita train station or Shopping Mall. There are restaurants, cafe and a karaoke bar a short walk down the hill from the Hotel. convenient for airport. free shuttle bus from Terminal 2, bus stop 26. we arrived at 10pm, restaurant closed at 9.30pm. no room service available. no bar. luckily a little convenience store at end of hotel drive entrance. this hotel could do so much better.

International Garden is a very busy hotel and is ideal for 1 or 2 nights when either arriving or leaving Japan. The inclussive breakfast is extremely busy but offers a range of food which most people should find something to their liking. Naria, the nearby town is very interesting and provides a very pleasant venue for a visit.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and it is still a good choice for stopovers before or after flights to or from Narita airport. The hotel offers excellent quality for the price including a regular airport shuttle service to easily get you from and to the airport. Most other airport hotels near this airport are located in somewhat […] isolated areas wheres this one is just on the outskirts of Narita which gives you other choices for eating other than the hotel restaurant. There are also good opportunities to go for walks to shake off those airplane kinks from long flights. A few blocks away there is access to an extensive trail along a river and behind the hotel you can walk on quiet country roads as far as you like. The only deficiency is the lack of free internet service in the room. There is a free service on two computers in the common area on the main floor. They were easy to access during my stay and were quite adequate for e-mail etc. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of the usual Western and Asian buffet quality food so if you are not a fussy eater you will not go away hungry. We booked this hotel to save us an early start from central Tokyo. After two intensive weeks of sightseeing we were happy to have the afternoon before we left to relax and know we only had a short drive to the airport. The hotel is clean, functional, quiet and comfortable - exactly what you need for an airport hotel. The shuttle to the airport was quick […] and efficient. The hotel has the added bonus of a convenience store outside, so we were able to cater for ourselves for dinner and breakfast, which kept the cost down (much needed after the aforementioned sightseeing!). I was fairly jetlagged so the clean bed was a welcome sight. I'd misunderstood about internet access, so had to either pay by the minute in my room or go to one of two free computers, which were being used by others. The hotel restaurant served a varied and delicious breakfast.

The hotel serves the airport (over nights stays, crews, etc) but has an excellent location for those that are to stay more than one night, fairly close to Narita city and to the biggest shopping mall in town (AEON Mall), the hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from the Airpor and to and from downtown Narita and AEON mall Very spacious rooms, look a […] bit old, however is under renovation. Good italian restaurant, and room service. Small but well equipped 24hs gym, and sauna. It has free of charge laundry and drying machines available in the basement. Cons: Internet is charged and the daily rate is not cheap, but its reasonable if compared with the price of renting a portable wifi at the airport. Staff multilingual, courteous and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again when I pass by Narita next time. The shuttle bus service is a big plus about this hotel. Overall, the staffs are helpful. Just like other reviews stated, the types of TV programs are poor. No internet service in the room unless you are willing to pay extra. The buffet dinner is a waste of money. The location is remote […] and boring. But the shuttle services make up for all the negative part of the hotel. I couldn't get over how good the service was. The receptionist went out of his way to help me find the most convenient travel rout to my touring destinations over the duration of my stay at the hotel! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Definitely a great place to stay, if you're visiting Narita!

The hotel was very clean, I found a worn out dirty chair in my room, what a turn off. That was not appealling.

The check-in time for this hotel is quite late in the day. As our flight arrived in the morning, we needed to pay nearly double the rate advertised to be able to check in early. We were offered a smoking room in lieu of the non-smoking room we had requested and told them we would accept this as long as we could change rooms once a non-smoking room became […] available. We were told in no uncertain terms that we would not be allowed to change rooms once we had checked in. This extremely poor service upon arrival was indicative of the staff inflexibility and unhelpfulness we experienced over our entire visit. The staff are also no use if you need to make any general enquiries about the Narita area; basic information that any normal hotel service desk or concierge would be able to help you with, this hotel was either unable or unwilling to assist with e.g. my bag became unserviceable in transit and they not only couldn't tell me where there was a a baggage store, they wouldn't even look up the location for me... I would have thought this was a pretty basic request any other hotel or even motel would assist you with. I travel with work and have stayed in hotels all over the world, including in Japan. This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had and there is no way I would ever stay here again. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere and while they do have a shuttle bus, no basic facilites (restaurants, cafes, convenience stores) are within easy walking distance. Lees meer

The room is big for Japan hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. The issue is with internet. If we need internet connection in the room we must get it for 24hours, so if we stay for one night only, we end up pay extra for the internet connection because we will use it for less than 24 hours for sure. There is a small shop at the lobby, but the shop […] doesn't sell basic medication stuff that we may need on urgent situation. Overall the hotel is good with reasonable price. We stayed in this hotel many times on our trip to Japan. And we will stay there again when we visit Japan in the future. Lees meer

No free internet

The hotel is in a more convenient location than most Narita hotels, if you're looking to actually walk around. We were able to walk from the Aeon shopping centre quite easily, even though there was a shuttle bus. There's a convenience store in front of the hotel, which is very ... convenient. The free computers in the lobby are terrible, extremely outdated […] version of Internet Explorer, and a couple of the front desk staff (one woman in particular) are not accommodating, nor friendly. All in all, however, a decent place to stay whilst waiting for your flight! Lees meer

We had a pleasant experience in this hotel. Having the free shuttle to Narita town and the airport was the reason we booked this hotel. We only stayed one night but I would not have minded another night to see more of Narita town with its excellent temple and gardens. The hotel staff was ever courteous and helpful. Stayed for two nights, accomodations were great rooms were clean beds were a bit soft but clean, Shuttle bus from airport is great and they also have a shuttle that will drop you off at the Narita train station or the Aeon Mall catch the shuttle to the narita train station and you can walk to the temple and take a stroll along the street and pass by […] many resturants and shops selling goods. The Japanese food offered at the Green hotel is just fantastic, be it dinner or breakfast. What a feast. And it is part of the package ! Talk about value for money. Also the shuttle service is very efficient so all the main attractions of Katayama are within reach in a matter of minutes. The hotel was fine for a one-night stopover. The room was clean and relatively spacious. There were no luxurious extras (eg coffee, minibar etc) but it was very good value for money. The bed was hard and a bit lumpy, but the room was quiet and allowed a much needed good night's sleep after travelling from Europe. Transportation to an from the hotel was easy and comfortable. Had reserved a smoke free room, which, upon arrival there were none. The Clerk assured us that the room's air was filtered. I had no problem in the room, but the hallway from the elevator to the room smelled of smoke and started my eyes watering.

Pleasant but very impersonal - this was not part of our original plans, which were cancelled by the tragic tsunami, we wanted to get to know Japan. The hotel did not even have Japanese food in the "Italian" restaurant.

Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, with passable English. Convenient location, but it took a bus and a taxi (about $60-70 USD) to get there from airport. Room was small but comfortable. Boxed breakfasts each morning. Not IHOP, but better than nothing. Laptop w/ free Internet in lobby, but lobby was extremely hot, probably due to energy conservation […] b/c of earthquake. Lees meer

I stayed here because I had an early flight from Narita. My room was much larger compared to a typical hotel room in Japan. The hotel in general was nice and clean. But the room seemed somewhat out of date and needed a face lift. Overall, I thought it was a nice place to stay for the price I paid.

I received an excellent rate through Hotels.com, the room was plenty large enough, as well as the bathroom. It had a small refrigerator, nice dresser and closet space. Most of all, being over 6ft, the bed was big and long enough and very comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious. Several airlines use this hotel as well. Although the desk clerks' […] English was not great, we were still able to communicate quite well and they were some of the most pleasant and kind people I have ever encountered. The neighborhood was not great, but they did have a convenience store within a short walking distance. Shuttles to the train station and airport ran very frequently and was only 10 minutes from train station, which I used every day for over a week. They have a great breakfast buffet and the lunch and dinners looked good as well, although I never had a chance to experience the latter two. The meals were a little pricey, but quite convenient. There is a small gift shop and the prices are a little high, but then, what hotel isn't. They also have internet service, currency exchange, laundry pick-up service as well as a laundry room. I had a little problem with the machines as the instructions were in Japanese. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. Aug. 2011 Lees meer

Overall, the cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff made staying at the hotel enjoyable. The bus service was very convenient, too. However, there was no wi-fi, and the only English-speaking station was CNN. To go without TV would have been fine, but wi-fi would have been more helpful in making out stay more enjoyable.

the hotel was nice and the people were friendly, but after traveling half way around the world its nice to have a shuttle more readily available. i waited for one hour for the shuttle, then it took another 45 min. drive to get to the hotel in the middle of nowhere. i would not stay again for this reason.

The room was spacious and clean, as is the entire facility--surprisingly large for Japan. The hotels.com page showed only free shuttle from Narita Station. There is, in fact, a free shuttle from the airport. Phone hotel for details.

Clean, comfortable room with helpful staff. Good bus schedules from/to airport and town/mall. Took us 35 min to the hotel from the airport at about 5:30pm so not as long as some had complained. You have to understand that it takes a while to maneuver out of the airport-up to 10 min from terminal 2 and up to 20 min from terminal 1 so if your hotel is […] not next to the airport like the holiday inn, it will take a while. I booked to stay here before an early flight out of Narita. The hotel is pretty standard and clean , the room was quite big. The staff were very helpful and informative, quite reassuring. There is a shop just outside the hotel which is useful,( there's also a slightly pricier one in the lobby) There isn't any other reason to stay here, although there […] appears to be a Christmas hotel opposite !!! There is a hotel restaurant with a buffet which is very average but there isn't much else of a choice. Alot of air crews stay here. They have a good shuttle service, pick up from Narita goes via the Hilton and takes about 15-20 mins. The morning shuttle starts at 630 and takes 10-12 mins direct. On the hotels own website there is a copy of the airport shuttle schedule. I asked what would happen if the shuttle bus was full, the answer was very reassuring they stated that another bus would be brought in or a cab arranged. In fact the morning shuttle was almost full of Air Canada transfer passengers and as stated a second bus appeared to leave at 630 on the dot!! I have to say this hotel does what it says, the only gripes may be that in room internet ( and tv??) has to be paid for. Also there is not much to do here. For an airport hotel this is highly recommended, also I got a real bargain rate via hotel.com compared to the hotel rates. Lees meer

nice hotel, very close to airport. with free shuttle bus. only thing is checkout is at 11AM. so if you arrive late at night from your flight, you don't that much time to rest. I think hotels should give you 24 hours from check in. you pay for 24 hours you should get 24 hours. and not be charged extra, should you decide to stay for a couple of hours […] extra. Lees meer

Very clean. Close to airport with free shuttle. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing on the downside is that there is no wireless Internet. But overall great place to overnight.

For the price this is a good hotel. It has convenient shuttles that will take you to and from the airport the first of which leaves at 6:50AM. The staff was very well trained and spoke good english. The room is very basic but has everything you need for a place to stay while awaiting a morning departure.

easy to get no. 26 bus from outside terminal 2. takes half an hour to hotel as bus goes via 2 other hotels. on way to airport it takes 10 mins direct. good hotel for airport, didn't see any of the town of Narita.

While the hotel is not at the center of things, it really does not matter. There is free shuttle service to Narita and to the airport. Staff spoke English and were helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location. Meals are a bit costly but you can take the shuttle to town.
