Hotel op toplocatie: midden in het centrum, achter populaire club Nasa. Keurig hotel. Geen grote, maar wel mooie, nette, moderne, schone kamers. Niks mis mee voor een weekend of weekje Reykjavik!

Hotel centrum is ideally located in the city for restaurants bars and shops. Also close to tourist information where trips such as the blue lagoon and golden circle(highly recommended) can be booked.

For the money we paid we expected better. There was no free wifi, we had to pay to use it. The bed had an odd ridge that felt as if two beds of different heights had been pushed together and a mattress put on top. The carpets all looked as if they had suffered water damage, and there were clods of dirt on the stairs for the duration of our stay.

The hotel was in a great location. near shopping. nice area to walk around in many types of foods to eat in the area.

Great location and very clean. Nice breakfast buffet for 2,500 kr/pp. Wi-fi is extra.

Everything was great about the hotel except the fact that it had no fridge. There was a mini bar but it was stuffed. I would have like a fridge so we could have stored our own drinks and food. I would even with this highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean room with good maid service. Front desk staff are helpful in booking tours/suggestions of what to do and answering any questions. The breakfast buffet as well as cafe food is very good. Excellent in terms of location.

Amazing!!! Right near the tour buses, right next to all the best restaurants, almost on the main city street. No other hotel could beat this location. On suite room was gorgeous. TV very old and crackly so we took a portable DVD player for night times.

Ideal location for a city break - easy to walk to all the city attractions, but a bit away from the main street. Good warm shower. Would recommend to friends visiting Reykjavik.

Hotel was great. Rooms were a little small but very clean and comfortable. Internet was not included. Rates were reasonable but service continued to get dropped. Could improve especially since I was paying for the service. Buffet Breakfast was expensive but well worth it. Hotel does not have parking so you are on your own if you bring a car.

Positives: very helpful staff, happy to book excursions and check things like Northen Light forecasts for you; location - couldn't ask for a better location, short walk to all main central attractions and restaurants; very high standard of cleanliness, comfortable room and shower; good hearty breakfast (although an additional cost, reasonable for Iceland); […] the settlement museum is in the basement of the hotel and is well worth a visit. Negatives: Room was too hot at night, but could be rectified by leaving window ajar; our safe was broken and couldn't be fixed; and the TV had poor reception and no English news channels. We were rather disappointed with this hotel. The staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. Our room was very small and we did feel very cramped. There was very little storage for our clothes. The breakfast was truly horrendous, overpriced and cold. We ate in the excellent coffee shops nearby for the rest of our stay. This was a modern and attractive hotel. The staff helped me with my concerns quickly and were always friendly and professional. The location is set back and may be a bit hard to locate for a traveller at first, but it is centrally located for city walking. Plenty of dining choices and cafes nearby. Only a block from the tourist information house.

Very well located, rooms were clean and tidy - maybe a little small, but there was room to open two cases and stuff. The hotel's location was great, with the shops and bars right on the doorstep. Hotel is perfectly lovely. Clean, nice decor, and good location. The staff is generally well intentioned, and sometimes but not always on the job. As one example, the phone at reception was off the hook for an hour. To get an internet code to use the wifi (not free, costs $5), I had to walk downstairs to let them know their phone was off the hook. The staff were pleasent, the hotel itself was very nice. the location was brilliant for shops, restaurants and bars. Also very close walk to the docks for boat tours. we hired bicycles from here for 3000krona each for 4 hours, about £15.

Iceland is fantastic! Everything on our trip was great, including the hotel which was close to restaurants and city center. The cleanliness of the room was superb, and the service and hotel overall very charming and personal. The only disadvantage was that breakfast is not included.

This is an ExCEPTIONAL hotel. One of the best and the only hotel I recommend to friends who are traveling to iceland. Everyone from the front of house to the cleaning crew does a top notch job. They really try and take care of you. And it's always quiet no matter how busy it is. A definite plus.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now and would gladly go back for a third visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable and you couldn't ask for a better location. The only faults I can find are the poor selection of channels on the tv (then again, who goes on holiday to watch tv?!?) and there is no free wi-fi (but it's widy available at other places […] in the city so it's not too inconvenient). I'm nit-picking. The first time we stayed we had a room on the first floor and could hear people moving around in the room above, the second time we were on the top floor and didn't hear a peep from other guests so I'd suggest requesting a top floor room if that kind of thing bugs you. Positives: The hotel has a great central location. Very clean and the staff were friendly. Negatives: It was very warm in the room and we had to have the windows open, even though it was below freezing outside! The room was a bit on the small side but since we were out and about most of the time this did not matter too much. I stayed for 4 nights as a business customer. I found the hotel pleasant and the staff helpfull. Free wifi in the downstairs bar. I didn't eat at the hotel choosing to use some of the local restaurants as I always try to do. The room was not the largest but was adequate. No bath, just a walk-in shower.

We had a long weekend in Reykjavic and stayed at the Centrum-it was absolutely perfect for us. Great location in a cute little square, nice room (if a little poky), good little restaurant for breakfast and friendly staff. Just the job!

The hotel is in a great location in old town and there are many restaurants nearby. The rooms are not large but are very clean and furnished nicely. Wi-fi is extra. There is a happy hour in the bar and bar food is available as well. We would stay here again.

I was surprised by a few little things. There were only 3-4 TV stations & they didn't even work most of the time. We couldn't find basic information such as weather conditions. They did have computers to use few of charge but of you wanted the password for your computer or smart phone they charged 1500 isk a day. ($12) Breakfast was also additional. […] I can't remember a hotel in Scandinavia that didn't include breakfast. As buffets go it was nice but I've had better ones that were free. The staff were friendly & extremely helpful during the Sandy issues. We had tho stay a couple extra days & they did give us a discount. All & all its a very nice hotel. Second stay in this hotel, two big issues this time. First issue: bed was broken, so that my side of the bed was slanted, and as a result I felt like I was falling off the bed all night long. Looking at it in the morning, it was obviously badly broken. So really lousy night's sleep. Second issue: When i told the desk clerk in the morning about this […] broken bed, he basically had no reaction, no sorry, nothing. He just said "ok". I told him not ok, to which I again didn't get much reaction. This particular guy had actually been not so helpful on our first stay when I told him about a problem with water in the shower flooding the bathroom floor. The desk clerk also wouldn't even give us 30 minutes late checkout, which seemed odd, hasn't happened to us anywhere before. The good news is that all other desk clerks and staff at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful, but this one guy should be in another line of work. Lees meer

Spacious room and bathroom! LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Easy walking distance to anywhere you need to go; harbour, museums, shopping and food. Alnost no other property that we saw had such a good location. Staff was helpful, breakfast was pretty standard, room service available.

Hotel Centrum is located very centrally, close to the Lagevegur shopping and eating places. Hotel staff also arranged the Northern Lights Tour for us at short notice. They also took care of the Flybus shuttle pick up for the airport very meticulously. Overall we were happy with our stay in this hotel.

The Centrum is right in down-town Reykjavik, on top of an archaelogical site and museum (which is great) and down the block from one of the tourist-information buildings. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I wasn't crazy about the electricity only working when one's key-card was in the slot in the wall (which wasn't identified; it […] appeared to merely be a no-smoking sign); I would have liked to be able to leave a light on when out in the evening, but I imagine it is more energy-efficient that way. They also have small safes right in the room; a real convenience if you need it. Breakfast was supposed to be included in the price but was actually an extra. It wasn't expensive, and the food was quite good, it was just a little irksome to be misled by the advertising. But if you want to be right in the heart of the sites for tourists, without being in a big impersonal place, the Centrum is great and the staff are wonderful. Lees meer

Once one of our favorite hotels in Reykjavik, this establishment is severely lacking in customer service. Most (but not all) of the front desk staff are aloof and don't treat guests like they Have on my previous visits. They're simply not welcoming and offer no help when requested. We've been customers since they opened, have stayed there 10 times or […] more, and usually for 5 - 6 days each time. Today we asked to check out half an hour late (reasonable by any hotel's standards) and were briskly told "absolute not, we're going to be full." Forget the bar off the lobby. It's a beautiful space but our waitress was not only slow and incompetent; she had a bad attitude as well. I suspect a change in management or ownership..... And that can ruin a great hotel. A couple of last points. Internet is very expensive, and if you choose to eat breakfast at the hotel, be prepared to pay about $40 for a party of two. We won't return. Lees meer

Great stay for 4 days in Hotel Reykjavik Centrum. All positive. The only exception might be that they charge for the password for Wi-Fi. Not a big issue as the room price was very reasonable and most cafes have free Wi-Fi.Room was very clean and quiet, although we were in the off season. Staff were helpful etc.

Excellent location, excellent breakfast, very comfortable. Reception staff very helpful. Only downsides - room very warm and no control in the room to change it and I would have liked a comfortable armchair in the room.
