A great place to stay , free drinks during happy hour from 5-7 if you stay on the club lounge floor, the room was very large and modern with everything you need, the staff was superb always willing to help with things. The breakfast was great as well. Well Done Dusit , would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chiang Mai

The hotel is located right in the heart of the Night market area, and 1 block North of the Loi Kroh road where most of the bars are. Great location. As with all hotels in Thailand, the mattresses are super-hard!

This place is awesome. It is super affordable and has decent amenities, like a pool, spa, business center, and gym. The rooms are a decent size and just right for my wife and I. Service is great and staff is friendly. For added value, you get a free welcome drink, a free gift that changes everyday, and free bottled water. The location has its advantages […] and disadvantages. Its outside of the old city and the popular temples, but if you are into eating and shopping on a budget this is the place to be. During the day you can walk to warorot market for mixed shopping and street food. Go a little further and you can check out Muang Mai market. This other market is mainly for locals to buy produce and meat, so its mainly just for sightseeing and not for tourist shopping. When night falls, you are literally a few steps away from the night market. For all other activities, just book a tour and your transportation is covered. Lees meer

Such a funny name for a great Hotel. Centrally located. Breakfast buffet is very good with lots of variety. Rooms are very well appointed for both business travelers and family. Bathrooms very nice. Love the cocktail hour with appetizers too. The price was great for such an outstanding hotel

the dusit d2 looks funky and is funky. we upgrated to a junior suite (gorgeous!) and got our own private check in:-) they go all out on the little touches that add personality. for example, every night between 5 and 7 they have a little soire - for suites, free wine, beer and snacks. for the public bar, free snacks. they have little welcome dances […] in the afternoon where about 8 members of staff have a funny routine worked out. breakfast is just to die for. from fresh fruit shakes to pastries to eggs to thai breakfast, you won't go hungry. the pool is nice and refreshing, but doesn't get a whole lot of sun. and while the hotel caters well for kids, the pool isn't kid friendly. we had a great time. and would definitely recommend it. you get both style and substance. Stayed over New Year '12 and had a nice suite with excellent amenities, good service, good food and clean and comfortable surroundings. Although the New Year dinner was quite expensive and did not include drinks, the stay was pleasant and we will return next time in town.

Everything was great! Breakfast buffet is wonderful, happy hour is great, staff is very friendly. Hotel is right in the heart of the night market. Very child friendly. Only downfall...bed was a little on the hard side. But most beds are in Thailand. Overall, fabulous hotel. Will go back!

I lived in Thailand for 10 years and speak Thai, but hadn't been to CMai for at least 8 years. We looked forward to this trip. Our Thai friends said, "good choice - Dusit D2 is supposed to be great!" Well, it was mediocre to be honest. They tried hard to set up something cool and funky, but it just falls a little short of the mark. There are lots of […] little design flaws that when added together start to become larger than life. The front desk folks try hard, but they are not terribly efficient - Check in process was laborious and took over 30 minutes. They gave us a smoking room which was really smelly - ozone machine didn't help at all. We speak Thai and that sure helped a lot, but it was still frustrating. Dusit D2 is form over function - no clock in the rooms, and where are the light switches!? Hard to find...elevator hard to control with cards that kept working/not working...Meridien or Shangrila probably a better bet for the money. We expected more from a Dusit chain hotel. Lees meer

Very nice hotel, with excellent service. Worthwhile taking the Club DusitD2 formula, which includes breakfast (Excellent variety of cold and hot meals) and a 5 to 7 happy hour including hors d'oeuvre and a good bar service. Only one negative aspect : room had carpet instead of wooden floor.

This is a wonderful hotel half a block from the night market. I stayed on the club level that has 2 rooms. I'd recommend paying the extra baht for the upgrade.

This is my 1st time to this hotel although many times to Chiang Mai. Overall experience is good. 1) Location is good. Situated at Chang Klan Road, night bazaar. It is adjacent to Le Meridian. 2) 4 pillows provided are too soft. 3) TV is too small. Only about 20” inches. Room is spacious, so the TV looks pathetic. DVD player not working.

The DusitD2 is located right on the night bazzar main street in Chiang Mai, depending on what your are looking for this could be a blessing or a nightmare. The hotel it self is rather old and not the best property available for the typical room rate, but again it is located in the middle of all the action. Deluxe rooms are average size, the bathrooms […] are small with only the basics ( no separate shower/tub), the TVs are extremely small, maybe 19" (the smallest I have seen in a hotel that claims to be a 4+ star hotel. My overall impresion, the hotel property is 3 stars, the service is excellent. On my next visit I would probably look to a diffrent hotel in the same area. Lees meer

Given a choice I would stay at the Meridien which is newer & better maintained / similar price. I'd been wanting to stay at this hotel for sometime as it was deemed to be the 'coolest" in the area...The bathroom / tub is cramped & dangerous to get in & out of... The room needed some repair & renewals.

Great location, if you get executive class, you get access to the club lounge and they offer free internet service.

Ideal location in Chiang Mai right next to the Night Bazaar. Very friendly staff.

I've never been so spoiled. This chain deserves its reputation; fantastic staff, fantastic room, great location. Superb attention to detail. Funky modern atmosphere, very relaxing. They offered us a chance to take a shower even after checkout, while we left our bags with them for a flight later that evening. Korn kun kaa! (Thank you!)

Hi To Whom It May Concern, I thought the room comes with the breakfast but when I checked out the charged me around Baht 49++

the staff were so exceptionally helpful and genuinly friendly. Absolutely a pleasure to stay there and the room was lovely. It was decorated in modern style, extremely clean and the service was beyond my expectations. A wonderful stay, not to mention extremely convenient location - a short walk to night markets and shops/restaurants.

Everything about the hotel was lovely and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We liked the DJ in the lobby, and the restaurant was great. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel! The staff was excellent. They had a number of great recommendations for shopping, cabs/drivers, and activities. We waited until the last minute to book almost everything we did in the Chiang Mai area and they helped us pull it off. They personally made all the calls for the arrangements and did it with a smile and an understanding of what […] we were looking for. They also let us use the facilities (pool, shower, etc) after we had checked out as we had a late flight. I would recommend the D2 to anyone looking for a great hotel in the Chiang Mai area! My wife and I visit Chaing Mai atleast twice a year and decided to try the D2. I felt the room though was very modern it was quite small. The hotel in my opinion is quite over rated. It is at best barely above average. We arrived at the hotel by 11:00 am but were not given our room as the check-in policy says 2:00 pm. I believe if rooms are available […] then a hotel should give the room to guests if for nothing else just to generate goodwill. Lees meer

The hotel was not as we expected. It was so much better! We stayed for 5 nights in a row and had a very reasonable price for a nice hotel like this. The service was very warm and they took good care of us. The rooms extremely comfortable and we loved hanging out in our room. What was amazing though is that it was right next to the night bazaar. Literally […] 10 steps away from shopping heaven. I thought the best thing about this hotel was that it wasn't too big and the service felt more personal that way. The dusitD2 has a perfect location being directly across from the Night Bazaar. The hotel and our room were both very clean and the staff professional, friendly and efficient. Great buffet breakfast.

Excellent hôtel et très bon service, incluant le Wi-Fi. La formule Club Dosit est très abordable et inclue entre autre le déjeuner, les apéros et les amuse-gueule de 5 à 7. dusitD2 Chiang Mai酒店对面就是一个很大的night bazar，里面的小吃既便宜又好吃，尤其是大排档最边的一家牛肉面好香啊！在清迈的三个晚上每晚都会来上一份，只要35个泰铢。吃晚饭就一家一家的逛夜市，工艺品很可爱！吃饱，喝足果汁，逛完夜市满载而归，很轻松的就可以走回酒店。服务好的让我很感动。有一晚去酒店外面买牙膏，忽然就下大雨，只有一两分钟的路程就打算冒雨跑回去，离酒店还有快50米时，门童看到我象落汤鸡时拿着硕大的遮阳伞就飞奔向我，还一直说sorry。真的很温暖。

The hotel is nice and clean, but it does not merit 4 stars. It is really an average 3-star hotel.The rooms are rather small and the design is weird (bathroom separated from bedroom by a transparent glass wall). For the room I booked, breakfast was not included even though the price was high compared to other (better) hotels where I have stayed in Thailand. […] For the price I payed, I had expected much more than this. En Chiang mai ciudad debe ser de lo mejor que hay. No lo duden

everything is perfect, staff is helpfull and smiling, hotel is well situated, etc... one detail make it bad: evry week end (and sometime during the week), bikers (with extreemly noisy choppers) race in the hotel car park. The staff ensure they try to stop this ongoing event, but so far without success. So if you not prepared to share with bikers the […] beautifull noise of chopper motorbike between 1 and 3 in the morning, then avoid this adress or at least rooms x01 and x03 from 2 to 9th florr as they are in front of the car park. but i m confident that this comment will push hotel management to call police and fix it for ever.
