Crowne Plaza Orlando - Downtown in Orlando

Een prima hotel !

Great location, clean, staff friendly and helpful. I have stayed at the hotel on numerous occassions and each time I noticed improvements. it keeps getting better.

Hey cant say much besides its right near downtown and makes it convenient for anybody who likes to step out and have a good time during the night scene. The management staff was a pleasure to work with and attended to needs promptly, when all is said and done great place for the price.

The beds were comfortable and the AC worked really well. The shower head was broken - multiple settings only had one hard stream setting that worked. There were only 2 towels for 3 guests, had to ask for more which they brought right away. The room was dimly lit and the light bulbs flickered. The entry switch didn't actually work anything. The door […] to the balcony was locked and couldn't be opened on a third floor room. The ice machine was difficult to find and was only on the second floor. I didn't know that I would have to pay extra for self parking until check out. That was very disappointing. The staff was friendly and the breakfast food was very good, but the buffet was expensive, so we opted for the ala carte menu. Lees meer

Very conveniently located and our room was a nice size. The bed was very comfortable... the only thing I can really complain about is the parking charge. Prior to getting there we did not realize there was going to be an additional charge for parking and in my opinion $13..00 for non valet is a bit outrageous!!!!

I hate to write a bad review about this hotel because the service was excellent and the hotel is a good hotel. However, it is located near a highway and it was simply too noisy for me to sleep well. We picked this hotel because in the discription it said this hotel was 2 blocks from the Amway Center. THIS IS NOT TRUE. It is more like two miles but they do have a free shuttle which I ended up paying about $15 for tips because we had to use it 4 times. The room was rather small with two queen beds and the air unit was so close to the bed that the […] person sleeping closest to the air unit was freezing all night !!!! Big dissapointment. Everything was great about the hotel, from location to comfort. The only problem I had was one night the heater came on and the room temperature rose to somewhere around 90 degrees. I tinkered with the thermostat the best I could and could only drop it down to around 80 degrees. The hotel is prefectly located in downtown, in walking distance to the AmWay center and very close to great food in downtown. The Hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The SPA and Pool were perfect.

WE WERE IN ORLANDO FOR THE CHAMP BOWL. I HAD PURCHASED SEVERAL ITEMS AT THE GAME, AND THEY WERE ACCIDENTLY LEFT IN THE HOTEL ROOM. I CANNOT GET THE COOPERATION FROM THE HOTEL STAFF TO FIND MY ITEMS. I SPOKE TO THE DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPING ONCE AND SHE STATED SHE WOULD FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY THINGS. I HAVE CALLED AND LEFT 5 MESSAGES FOR HER AND […] SHE REFUSES TO CALL ME BACK. I BELIEVE THEY THINK IF THEY IGNORE ME THAT I WILL JUST STOP CHECKING. ITS NOT ONLY THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I SPENT ON THE ITEMS. WHICH ALL NEW ITEMS. ITS THE PRINCIPLE THAT THESES ARE MY ITEMS AND WHEN A PERSON STAYS IN A HOTEL YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE FACT THAT SOMEONE WHO WORKS AT THE HOTEL KEPT MY ITEMS AND THEY DONT WANT TO HAVE TO TELL ME THAT THEY DONT KNOW MY ITEMS ARE. WHOEVER TOOK MY ITEMS I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM. THIS SHOWS ME WHAT THE INTEGRITY OF THIS HOTEL. I EVEN FILLED OUT A COMPLAINT ON THEIR WEBSITE AND IT STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME, DIDNT HAPPEN. . We found several staff members to be blatently rude with no provocation; they simply started out that way when we first approached them. And we weren't the only ones who felt that way as people in the elevators and in the lobby were voicing the same opinion. As we were leaving, the faciltiy engineer overheard us talking and asked for our feedback. He […] asked us to inform the manager on duty about the circumstances of our complaints; which we did. The Hotel was great with the location near the Champs bowl and had a great shuttle service to the game with less than 10 minutes from leaving the game to being back in the Hotel. Also one of my bags fell in the room with 3 credit type cards fell out without my knowledge. The Hotel honestly called and reported this to us and is sending the cards to us. […] Great job! The overall experience was great. My only concerns were the HVAC control did not keep the room at a comfortable temperature and the shower was stuck on one setting and the fixtures were loose.

I was a little disappointed that the shutters in the room were all damaged, they wouldn't shut properly so all daylight came in and it was hard to sleep in the morning. It was also quite loud with I4 below, it didn't wake me up or anything, but I was surprised by how loud it was, the reason it was so loud was because there was a double door that could […] open, it was locked, but the door wasn't sealed enough so there were cracks plenty of noise could come in. Nice hotel, but the surrounding area isn't very nice.... definitely don't walk off the property. Room was great, but there is noise from traffic and trains all night long. Good if you need to be at this location, otherwise no need to stay here.

Having stayed at this location prior to Crowne taking it over, I was a little worried. The renovated hotel is well-done, comfortable, and the Staff was extremely helpful. The hotel was close to the train line and you could hear not only the train passing, but also I-4 all night. As nice as the hotel is, the location is not the best. Too much noise pollution.

This hotel was nice. I had a great room with the only down side being that it was close to the freeway making it very noisey. The hotel provided ear plugs....I should have used them!

Comfortable hotel and quiet except for the freight trains sound the whistle all the time going past the hotel, even at night. The hotel is not as close to 'downtown' as I thought.

Thought the rooms would be bigger for the price. Located right by the expressway so you hear noise all night but the hotel does provide ear plugs. The location is pretty convient can get straight on the highway and go to anything such as Universal or Disney. Very comfortable beds and pillows

Hotel was in excellent condition Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved that in addition to our queen size bed there was a very comfortable couch for us to sit and read or watch television. Would have appreciate if the hotel was on the other side of I4. closer to the business district. .

This hotel was awful. The location was in a bad part of town with many homeless people walking around and people hanging around the Salvation Army behind the hotel. The breakfast plates were dirty, it took the waitress 20 minutes to bring us our coffee, and when we went to the buffet table to serve ourselves breakfast, the buffet was empty. They did […] not come to refill it in the 20 minutes we waited for our drinks so we left because the service was terrible. The only remaining items in the buffet were leftover mushy eggs, bits and pieces of bacon, and over-cooked breakfast potatoes. Housekeeping did not do a thorough cleaning of our hotel room prior to my arrival or during my stay. The rooms were messy, had not been swept or vacuumed and smelled bad. My room was listed as having a sofa pull out bed but it did not. The pull-out bed was non-existent, all that was in the King Suite was a couch. The bathroom of the suite only had saloon style doors so you could also not have privacy in the bathroom. The staff at the hotel were very impolite and not willing to assist the guests in my party. We were not treated with respect or in a timely manner. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because of its location, the terrible service received, and the miscommunications of what each room includes. I did not enjoy my stay at all. Lees meer

When I checked in to my room, I noticed there were no bath towels. I stopped at the front desk and asked them to send some up to my room. Despite their assurances, this was never done. Also, the restroom garbage can on the lobby floor was overflowing.

I am usually very pleased with this hotel. However, on this occasion although our reservation was for 3 the contained only supplies for 2 (towels, glasses, cups, etc.) I understand that they had several large parties on this week-end, but I do think that if they looked at the reservatipon, the rooms would be set up the number expected.

I usually stay at the Bohemian, and was actually a hard core proponent of the Bohemian... but I wanted to try something new because the Bohemian has been raising their rates. The room in the Crowne Plaza was BETTER than the rooms at the Bohemian, however the common areas are about equal with the slight edge going to the Bohemian. The location of the […] Bohemian is better then the Crowne Plaza. The staffs are about equal with the slight edge going to the Crowne Plaza. The Crowne Plaza is a few bucks taxi ride to downtown. The Bohemian is more than double the price of the Crowne Plaza and I just don't see the justification. For the best value and an excellent room I recommend the Crowne Plaza. I'm converted. Lees meer

When we first got to hotel, there were no towels in the room. Then we went to use the safe and it did not work. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was okay.

No bath towels,no condiments with room service,no bar after 11PM on Friday night, no return for me!

The people were nice but, $10 extra to park your car !? REALLY? I turned down a different hotel because this one was $10 cheaper. No Fridge in the room and no Ice machine on any floor except 2nd (I found out later). No towel bars in the bathroom. Balcony but no access beacuse of locked door. Seriously bad part of town. got it because it was 1 mile from […] Amway center, but was affaid to walk it. Luckily the hotel offered a free shuttle. That was good. Nothing within walking distance around it except perhaps a good mugging just outside the barbed wire fencing. I would have stayed in a hotell on the west side of Amway Ctr if I'd known what a depressed part of town I was getting into. Polar opposet of the International Drive area just a few minutes away. The hotel location makes access to any of the highways around Orlando very easy. The hotel neighborhood is not the greatest, with a Salvation Army soup kitchen only a couple of blocks away. Self-park is mostly fenced and nothing happend to the rental car. Restaurant morning waitstaff was very slow and not ver attentive. Excellent quality of service and very friendly. There was a bulb out beside the bed (no big deal) but I mentioned it to the front desk as we were going out to get dinner, when we returned the bulb had been changed. It's the little things like that which keep you coming back. i would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for, close to I-4, easy to find, & close to Church St. The Hotel had a complimentary shuttle that took us downtown when we were ready. The shuttle runs until 11pm so a short taxi ride or the guys with the bicycle carts would work perfectly. We actually chose to walk, not a great idea but only 1.3 miles. Convenient place if you're in need to working/playing in downtown Orlando. Lots of unique restaurants (not fast food) in the downtown area and within a good walking distance from Amway Center. Parking can be a bit crowded, especially when meetings are being held in the conference rooms. A lot of outside noise makes its way into the room, as to be expected […] in a metropolitan area, but the room is still very comfortable. Had a great overnight stay at the crowne, I highly recommend!

LOVED THE HOTEL. STAFF COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE FRIENDLY AND HAPPY, BUT OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE.

There was nothing special about this hotel. the parking lot should be free to guest because $10 per night is a little steep. I think the hotel was going the beginning stages of a revamp "company wide". It was really bland but it was a good nite stay!

I stayed here for my 29th birthday and it was so spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Granted, we were downtown for most of the night, but for the few hours that we slept there, it was very comfortable. My friend and I ordered room service for breakfast and it was delicious. we loved the hotel...nice staff--everything was just nice nice....only one suggestion...do not go to Church street station and expect to get a ride back with a taxi unless you are willing to pay double fair..taxi cab drivers do not want to drive you back when it is so close...but yet a little too far to walk back for most...Bliss nightclub a good club […] for dancing, Cervichy great restraunt with entertainment..all in Church Street Station. If your a young single girl---there was at least 15 boys for every one girl....great place for young girls to have fun with alot of young people. Location of Hotel is great along with the price!! This is a fabulous hotel! The food was good and the service was greatly appreciated. I will definitely be staying there again when I visit Orlando!

Some friends and I saw a concert at the arena and the hotel was perfect. It was clean and upscale and in perfect distance to the arena. They had a shuttle to the venue, which with the rain was so helpful. We walked back and the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but we made it.
