De 20 kilometer koraalkust, eenvoudig te bereiken via de Queens Highway, staat vol dorpen, suikerrietvelden, en appartementen, cottages, hutten en hotels, van goedkoop tot 5-sterren. De schilderachtige kustlijn, die zo van een ansichtkaart lijkt te komen, is tevens de thuishaven van eindeloze stranden en een van de prachtigste riffen van het eiland. Great hotel. Relaxing by the pool was fun. Weren't able to snorkel or kayak the 8 days we were there in Oct, because the wind too strong and water therefore too choppy. The best restuarant is the Sundowner by far for affordability and great food. Pizzas and chocolate mousse awesome! However the very expensive restuarant also had great food with silver […] service, just costly. Worth doing it once. Poolside food & beverages were expensive as were the icecreams or sorbets. Definitely recommend vouchers for breakfast at the main restuarant. Kept getting overcharged for that. The Bebe spa on the hill is a must! Both for yourself or as a couple. Weddings were being held almost daily, but that didn't seem to make a difference to the service which was fantastic overall. Plenty of places to buy jewellery as the ladies sit and sell their wares. Not a huge selection of cocktails on offer throughout the resort, which I found a shame. In room movies (pay to view) were good and they had a fair selection. Hotel room fan didn't work but didn't need it cause the air con was fantastic. Never got over heated there, as oppose to when we were on 1 of the islands. More breezy. Would pay to buy your bottled water and snack food before arriving at the hotel because the snack shop there is quite expensive. Karva ceremony worth doing (nightly). If you want to fish, you need to travel 1 hour to Pacific Harbour. Otherwise, all in all a wonderfully relaxing stay. Definitely more costly than we could afford normally. Lees meer

We never left, the pool, beach, activities, and just a short walk from the eco park and driving range. Plenty to do or just relax and be served by the pool. "Slightly old 5-star...but ok to stay at."
I was surprised to see this as a 5-star hotel but it might have been when it was first built. Compared to the newer hotels, it is hard to still consider it that. They screwed up our honeymoon reservations and gave us a double bed. In that room, the towels were ragged and frawed. Toiletries were not a great quality. The room seemed tired. We asked for […] a king bed, like we booked, and were moved the next day. I would have expected a 5-star hotel to be more careful and to offer an immediate move. The hotel staff was rude and we had to move our own bags after watched for an hour after they called us for the porter. The beach was covered in chunks of coral so you have to wear sandals on the beach. The pool is really nice though. Outrigger was wonderfully landscaped with lots of lush trees and greens. Beds were fairly comfortable. Lots of daily activities for all ages, like crafts, contests, and outings. Lees meer

Nice resort a long way from Nadi. Nice pool but beach was not good. Plenty of activities on offer, kayaking, snorkeling etc but lagoon is shallow and hotel only willing to do lagoon activities on highest tide for 45 mins each day. Restaurants average with extortionate prices. In fact all food, bottled water etc overpriced. Staff seemed over catering […] to the masses, some friendly and others rude. The hotel spa was lovely. "Loved the Outrigger"
We stayed 5 nights at the Outrigger and can't say enough good things about it. They had great service, tons of activites and nice accomodations.

Had the best time ever , really enjoyed the comfort of my room, the staff being so helpful and friendly. Loved the spa best place to relax and enjoy a drink late in the afternoon. Wil definitely be coming back, and staying longer
"FAMILY FRIENDLY RESORT"
Outrigger on the Lagoon at Fiji has everything that Fiji should offer. Beds very comfortable, staff went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Hotel Meal packages make eating in Fiji more affordable but as with a lot of resorts the dining experience is in a multi seating food hall of a restaurant with bulk food processing and lacking in a lot […] of intamacy. Resort has a fabulous smaller restaurant the IVI which was a moorish experience but not for the budget concious. Great resort for families with Kids club, loving nanniesand other activities but this can be a bit daunting if you are singles or a couple because except for the IVI restaurant there were no kid free zones. For an extra treat upgrade to a Bure where you get your own private butler service who will try to look after your needs. Day Spa area lovely but again not for those on a budget aware.Take beach shoe as beach is not the soft white sand but gritty. I would recommend this resort if you were ok about the big resort feel.A big plus was there was a laundry where you could do your own washing as inhouse laundry can cost the earth in some hotels. "Not 5 Star"
I had booked this hotel on its advertising as Part of a 35th Wedding Anniversary trip - the highlight being Fiji on the day itself following a period in New Zealand. Unfortunately it rained on 2 of the 7 days we were there with high winds - but this did show up some of the hotels shortcomings. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, with very friendly staff. […] It has a nice swimming pool, and I did note that the kids club was well attended and had plenty of supervision. There were a lot of families, and this was "out of season" with hotel being only about a one third occupancy, so at high season probably a LOT of children. The rooms were of a reasonable size and clean, and the beds comfortable which is important to me as I have a bad back. First big disappointment was the lagoon and beach. At low tide there was a great expanse of not very attractive beach so watersports not possible, and even when the sea was in it was shallow and had rip tides so was not safe to swim in. The hotel had 4 eating places (I hesitate to say restaurants) which had somewhat limited menus. The main restaurant had "Theme" buffets, but if the theme co-incided with the fare available in the other eating places, then you were fairly stuck as there were no eating establishments nearby.
