And you don't pay too much. However, the quality is proportional to the price and actually the impression is somewhat rundown. This is a rustic older hotel. The location was great. It was clean....definitely worth the price.

I booked this room over 2 months ahead. When I arrived I found out I was on the second floor(ask for first from now on) and it had NO AIRCONDITIONING.(They didn't seem to be concerned) It may be Sept but a top floor gets hot!!! Also the ceiling fan sounded like it was taking off at the airport.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. No complaints will stay again. Great bargain. Saturday we had homemade scones nice touch. Great coffee.

Gave this an overall rating of 2. We were expecting budget accommodations and all that goes along with them when we arrived. And that's what we got. Our second floor room was musty smelling and stuffy. The ceiling fan did little to cool things down unless the shade and/or door was fully open. No A/C... We knew that too and would probably opt for a […] different place if the temps were going to be high. The small fridge and microwave were handy. The hotel is dated. The room was cozy. good for the price and an overnight stay. The office is in the next building but it was clearly marked where to go.

Motels location was good, close to all stores and shops around downtown. Older motel (not told about check-in was at different motel) Breakfast was on the skimpy side,little variety.Lighting in room was poor. Hot water ran out during shower.

Coming in late in the evening we had to go to a different location to check in. Thank goodness for GPS so we could find the first and second location. When I called about ice I was told there might be ice at our location and if not come back to where we checked in. Breakfast, as it was, was also at the second location. Location is good, rooms and bed was small

Room was clean but hot & stuffie. No AC. Office a block away. I would rather of kept the $$$ I spent for this room and slept in my truck.

This hotel is convenient to restaurants shops. Nothing fancy, but not too expensive either. Comfortable.

Ok for a night. Close to town but not the sort of place you would want to stay.

In a town where even the Super 8 was almost three times its normal ratet, this was the best bargain in town. There are no frills but the place was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower had enough hot water. Only about 3 blocks from downtown square and one block from Cache street on the side of town leading out to the Tetons. The room is […] very small and not recommended for a family or someone who plans to spend a lot of time in their room but, it you are a person who plans to spend most of your time outside and you just need an economical place to take a shower and get a comfortable nights sleep then this is your place. We had reseverd a room at El Rancho but was actually moved to another hotel because of our dissatifaction with the hotel. The room smelled and did not feel clean at all.

I read some of the other reviews on this motel and was prepared for the worst. I paid for the nights based purely on cost, this was as low cost as I could find in Jackson. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not that bad. Hey, it's an inexpensive place, this is not the 4 seasons. Nice clean bed, nice clean shower - nothing fancy. My husband and I are on an extended road trip and we are on a tight budget. We really wanted to go to Jackson, WY which is a more pricey area for travellers. When I booked the the El Rancho, which was extremely cheap in price, I was expecting the worst, however, we were pleasantly surprised by a quaint little motel that was a tad run down looking, but […] the room was clean, warm, and with the essential ameneties. For the price, this hotel was great with a good central location. The bed was not the softest and the room was a little small but you get what you pay for.

towels are nasty, not very clean.

The room was acceptable, but the shower was uncomfortably small, and there was no tub to bathe our 2 year old daughter.

Convenient, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants/bars in safe area. There was a porch with table and chairs outside our room--nice place to enjoy the temperate air of Jackson Hole in the evening. The hotel is NOT elegant, the decor is dated, and the water pressure in our bathroom wasn't great, but it was consistently clean and the beds were […] very comfortable. This lower-cost motel is for the client who wants a soft, clean place to rest his bones after a day (or night) of activity. Ideally I would have liked to be closer to Yellowstone, but this hotel was a good bargain and had everything we needed. (The gripes online about it are misleading--no, our room didn't have AC, but during out stay in mid-June, we were just glad the heater worked :-)

El Rancho by far below our standards and over priced.Jackson is a very classy town this motel should not even be listed with hotels.com.

For the money...it was good...fridge, microwave..table and chairs..close to the shopping...enjoyed it...everyone was friendly...no complaints

The picture you see is not the El Rancho Motel. What you see is the Anvil Motel located about two blocks from the El Rancho. If you are lucky enough to find the El Rancho, ( we passed by it four times because the small sign is completely hidden by thick bushes )you'll find a small note telling you to go to the Anvil to check in. There is no one to go […] to for any kind of service at the El Rancho.For anything you have to go to the Anvil. When you get back to the El Rancho you'll discover that there is no AC. Just a slow moving ceiling fan that is useless. Make sure you get there early, because there is limited parking. We had to park away from the building, which was very inconvenient with our luggage. Don't worry about oversleeping. The sun will wake you up shining thru the holes in the curtains. For the money I paid I really feel that we got ripped off. No A/C and the ceiling fan in the room barely moved fast enough to move any air. Quality of service was good, but even with door and window open I was unable to sleep because of the heat.

Jackson Hole is very expensive for lodging and all we needed was some place to lay our heads. If I was going to spend some time at the hotel this would not have been my 1st choice, I wanted a hotel close to the shops downtown and this hotel was just a few blocks away from the visitor center and stores. The Hotel was ok. THe rooms were nice, the beds were a little on the hard side, but not too bad. The room size was good. THe location was perfect (1 block away from downtown). The hotel building itself needs a little work done to it and a little more parking. Overall it was good.

This hotel is run down and even the management office was 2 blocks away. Bed was very uncomfortable, shower had no hot water. In the name of AC, there was a ceiling fan. This hotel should be delisted.

El Rancho Motel is over priced for the quality of the room we stayed in. We would not recommend this motel.

1.the room is too small; 2.the location is a little bit far, and it share office with another motel nearby, you need to go to another motel to check in! 3.Not enough parking spaces for every room although there are street parking, when I can't find a parking space in the motel and asked the front desk where to park, he just said park in street, I said […] what will happen if I park in the wrong place, he reply:"it is your problem not my problem", OK, he don't care about my problem. I can park in somewhere far away from the motel but I can't accept the way he saying. Lees meer
