Mount Bachelor Village Resort in Bend

This is our third stay in Ski House units over the last three years. Layout of units are great as is the convenience to downtown and local attractions. Downside is that all units are not created equal.Current unit had a 1990's TV, a toaster that worked on only one side, and only a total of four spoons to use. The bed covers were sloppy looking and some […] pillows smelled. Previously, we've had some excellent units with moden appointments. Moral of story- ask to see unit before settling in. We stayed two nights in September while visiting Bend. The room was pretty spacious but didn't have much in the way of furniture. Had one desk chair and built-in desk attached to the wall. Had a corner window seat which was big enough for two adults or three children, but not very comfortable for sitting for long periods. Only other place to sit was […] on the bed. The bed was pretty comfortable. Flat screen TV was small (about 17-19 inches), but had lots of cable channels. Remote did not have button or menu to turn on closed captioning for the hearing impaired, but after playing around with the buttons on the side of the TV we were able to turn them, only to have them running in the middle of the screen rather than at the bottom. Grounds were very nicely maintained and the pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. The place was very quiet and we never heard noise from any of the other units, which made us feel like we had the place to ourselves. Check in and check out were very simple and quick. No problem with parking very close to our room. The numbering system of the building was confusing, so had a difficult time find our room in the dark when we checked in. Very well kept grounds. Nice pool, lawns, trees. The room was substandard, long spider web, only one chair, substandard storage, ordinary bathroom and little conveniences.

Arrived early and room was avaiable. Lower level room with close parking. Deck, BBQ, Cable w/flat screen. Room was poorly lit and shower head at less then 5' 6" off the tub floor.

I'll keep this short and to the point. Check in was a nightmare. The credit card machine wasn't working properly they tried to run my card several times finally just giving up and giving us the room key. They then call back an hour later and want me to come back so they can try again. Finally they were able to authorize my card. They only have one […] person at the reception desk, apparently this person is also the main phone operator as we had to wait for her to answer several calls before we were helped the three times we had to visit the front desk. The bathroom is stuck in the early 90's with prison style shower head. The Fridge made incredibly loud knocking, hissing, and banging noises. The A/C would constantly turn off and on waking us up every 20 minutes. The channel selection was great on the TV but the screen was so small you could barely see it. Over all I highly doubt we will be staying here again, I would expect more from a "resort" and more for the price we paid. Lees meer

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is clean, quiet and within 25 minutes of skiing on the mountain or hiking in the desert. it is close to downtown Bend with all its healthy restaurants. Stay here, you won't go wrong.

Great little 1 BR - small, but all we needed for our stay as we were mostly at the pool, the Athletic Club, or out and about in the area. Efficiency kitchen met our needs very nicely, nice updating, especially considering the price. Pool grounds are great, athletic club is luxurious, service was friendly and good.

It was difficult to find the check in building. They could have better signs. The room was a bit too warm at night and no way for me to control that (but to be honest, I didn't call the front desk...lazy I guess.) Over all however, to was clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, I'd forgotten my cell phone charger and the desk clerk went […] through her lost-and-found and found one for me. I would absolutely stay there again. Lees meer
