prima ligging. Aan de rand van echte centrum in zakendistrict. 5 min lopen van metro station, 1 a 2 haltes tot in stads centrum. Zeer ruim appartement met 2 slaapkamer, 2 badkamers en 1 woonkamer/keuken.

De kamer was netjes, wij sliepen met 4 personen in de familiekamer. 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen (13 en 16 jaar). De kamer was niet groot, maar voor ons geen probleem omdat we vroeg weg waren en laat thuis. De knop van de wc was kapot, we hebben dit gemeld en toen we s'avonds terug kwamen was deze al gemaakt. Ontbijt was prima. Naar het centrum is +/- 10 min met de bus (opstap vlakbij hotel), daarna met de metro +/- 10 min. Echt goed te doen. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam. Kortom een prima hotel voor een weekendje Londen.

Het was een nette hotel met heel hulpzaam personeel. De ligging is dichtbij St. Pancras en 3 verschillende metro stations. Het is dus handig als "home base" om Londen te ontdekken. Kamers zijn klein, maar prima om gewoon over te nachten en je kan thee/koffie maken. De kamers hebben bovendien een haardroger.

The Mad Hatter Hotel ligt in het centrum van Londen, op loopafstand van Koninklijk nationaal theater en Blackfriars Bridge. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Southbank Centre en Tate Modern.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in Londen heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge.Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, gratis kranten in de foyer en stomerij-/wasserijservices.

Het ten zuiden van Londen gelegen historische Southwark biedt bezoekers volop attracties. Beroemde bezienswaardigheden zijn onder andere de Tower Bridge (met net ten noorden hiervan de Tower of London), het Globe-theater van Shakespeare en het museum voor moderne kunst Tate Modern. Borough Market is een must voor fijnproevers en de 17e eeuwse pub George Inn lijkt zo uit een prentenboek te komen. Toeristen zetten massaal koers naar de London Eye, een enorm reuzenrad dat een ongekend uitzicht over Londen biedt.

De straat: erg druk verkeer, raast dag en nacht voorbij. Maar binnen kwam de verrassing: wij hadden een kamer aan de achterkant, en hadden totaal geen last van herrie. Een erg aangename kamer, ruim, heerlijke bedden, goed sanitair, elke dag een set schone grote handdoeken. Het ontbijt was niet heel fijn: continental breakfast betekent blijkbaar vieze […] koffie, als je niet al te vroeg komt blijken de broodjes op te zijn (worden dan dus niet aangevuld). "Good location, comfortable stay"
This hotel is in walking distance to the South Bank and Southwark sights, and a quick trip over Blackfriars bridge to St. Paul's Cathedral and Fleet Street. It's nice to be connected to the pub for a quick drink or bite to eat. Rooms had plenty of space. Beds were stiff but clean and the room was overall very comfortable--nothing fancy but very safe […] and just fine as a base for touring around. "This Hatter is not all that Mad"
We certainly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Mad Hatter Hotel. The room was fresh and clean. Housekeeping was spot-on at keeping the room ready for us each day. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, so we didn't have a nice view but the trade off was we didn't have the street noise from the busy traffic in front. Ask for the rooms on the back […] of the hotel when you book. Check in was quick and accurate, the on site pub/restaurant was very convienant serving a nice breakfast and dinner. The breakfast can be part of your room bill and they charged the dinner meals right to our room bill. A quick walk to the underground and a bus stop right across the street. Great overnight stay at a lovely hotel. Fantastic service from all the staff in both the hotel and the adjoining pub/resturant. Fantastic location - close to the South Bank and just a short distance from Waterloo train station. Style of hotel completely in tune with the age of the building and the pub is a beautiful old fashioned kitted out in wood […] affair - fantastic. We liked it a lot. Only 2 minor things, the bed was not the most comfortable and sqeaked a bit but not enough of a problem to complain. And if you need a taxi its probably better to find a place to flag down a London cab as the one arranged by reception (for 2 seperate journeys) over charged on the second journey. "Mad Hatter Hotel - close to South bank Centre"
Conveniently situated about 6 mins walk from South Bank Centre. Breakfast was delicious - hot freshly cooked scones, plus all the usual English Breakfast choices. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful at all times. We would definitely stay here again.

The Mad Hatter is 10 minutes from the Waterloo train station, 5 minutes from the Southwark tube station, and in a good location for walking to see the Globe, the Tate, the Eye, and many other attractions. The rooms are well appointed and kept and quiet, and the pub has good food and drink. Excellent value!

The hotel was about 10 mins from the closest train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area was good and we felt comfortable walking around at night to see the London eye lit up. I would definitely stay there again.

booked into the Mad Hatter for an overnight stay with a friend and found the hotel staff to be warm and friendly and very helpful. The bar has a nice atmosphere and the staff serving were very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Even at 1am when I wanted a bottle of water!

WAS GREETED IMMEDIATELY BY VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, TWIN ROOM HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. ALTHOUGH BEDS WERE A BIT WOBBLY IT DIDNT STOP US HAVING GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP-OUR ROOM WAS AT THE FRONT BUT WE DIDNT FIND IT TOO NOISY & SLEPT WELL. GREAT LOCATION, CLOSE TO TATE MODERN & MILLENIUM BRIDGE WHICH LEADS TO ST PAULS. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, WOULD USE AGAIN.

The Mad Hatter is located within a reasonable walking distance to the city center, sights of the South Bank + the Waterloo train station, however for Tube connections it's not exactly optimal. we picked the mad hatters because it was near to our concert gig at the royal festival hall. The hotel was clean and quiet (we were round the back though!). I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay although a long walk back after a tiring day!!! We had a twin room, and were more than happy with it. We walked from Waterloo station to the hotel, and into central london along the South Bank. The hotel was clean and comfortable, didnt use teh restaurant so couldn't comment on that, but the menu looked good for London prices (apart from a ridiculously expensive breakfast, which we avoided!) "We miss the Mad Hatter!"
Our stay at the Mad Hatter was great despite the fact that we had to change rooms late at night on the first night of our stay. With our travel plans disrupted by hurricane Irene in the US, we found ourselves unexpectedly in London a few days earlier than we had planned. When I saw a great deal on this room we decided to take a chance on it and we were […] not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, the location cannot be beat, especially for the price we paid. We loved the complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits. Our only problem was that the toilet leaked in the first room we had. This wasn't a huge deal at first, but when the toilet stopped flushing because of it we had to call to complain. The woman on staff that night said that she could not fix it, but would change us to another room. She offered to help take our things to the new room and offered us drinks at the bar to compensate for the inconvenience. The new room was actually a lot nicer than our original room, so we were quite pleased. The only other down side was that the beds were not super comfortable. That said, we found it to be a charming and relaxing place that we really enjoyed. Now we are staying in very cheap budget accommodations and I really wish we could go back to the Hatter. This hotel is situated on a busy junction of a capital city so expect some noise ! Any traveller worth his/her salt should avail themselves of a set of trusty ear plugs - you may need them here. Not because of rowdy revellers but of the traffic noise outside which seems to go through the night. That said, The Mad Hatter Hotel is a nice looking accommodation […] where you will find a friendly welcome and good food. The bedroom was quite large by London standards ,with fully opening windows - although you may want to avoid this due to the noise - clean sheets and tidy, well stocked drinks with kettle make this a welcome haven after a hard day on the tourist trail. Hotel was very accomodating regarding adding my wife and two daughters. However they made no attempt to provide useful information on parking and have no provision of somewhere to off-load a car temporarily. Perhaps they don't get many customers with cars?

We stayed at the Mad Hatter hotel for 7 days. The hotel was easy to find, a quick 5 minute walk from Southward station. The area is very quiet, and a little sketchy at night, but overall quite safe. The staff were friendly, service was prompt, and the room was clean. Furniture was a bit outdated, but this was not a priority for our stay at the hotel. Overall it was a great stay. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 4 nights and had no problems. The hotel is conveniently located near the tube station and it is in walking distance to many landmarks such as the Tate Modern and Globe Theater. We received a prompt wake up call each morning and had no problem with noise, even though it's in the heart of the city. The bathroom was tight, but that is to be expected and the bed was somewhat lumpy. The only other thing was the view from our room...it was a back alley with a clear view of an abandoned building, which wasn't the best thing to look at. Very well located and near to Tate Modern, and London Eye. Reception Service very good and helpful staff each day. Residents Bar bit scrappy if you come back late. Confusion over prices led to a long delay in getting late night drink. Small gripe but has to be said. Overall this hotel is very adequate for a short sightseeing stay in London.
