Pretty basic. No bar or restaurant on site. A fair walk to the beach. Grocery store is taxi ride or car distance. OK for self catering, especially with kids,

MY DAUGHTER AND I LOVED BEING AT THE COTTAGES AT DICKENSON BAY FOR 6 NIGHTS! THE OWNERS, STAFF, AND SURROUNDINGS WERE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! ALL LANDSCAPING IS BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL POOL, NIGHT TIME SECURITY, IF U WANT TO STAY SOMEWHERE THAT IS QUIET, SECURE, QUAINT, AN A 2 MINUTE WALK TO THE BEAUTIFUL BEACH.....THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY! I recently stayed at Dickenson Bay Cottages in Antigua and have to say it was exactly as I had expected from research. It is a very quaint property of one and 2 bedroom cottages and is only a 7 minute walk down to a beautiful beach. Antigua is very affordable if you stay at a self catered hotel but take note that the closest grocery store is a 10 minute […] drive / 30minute walk away. I would suggest to rent a car because the private bus system is very strange and cabs can tend to be expensive. There is a small pool to cool down in after a hot day of sight seeing. My 1 bedroom loft was had a colonial feeling with high ceiling, big fans and most important was very clean. Great TV channels, so I didn't miss any Canuck Playoff Games, and free wireless internet if you book your flight through Expedia. I took a very challenging bike tour to the top of one of Antigua's highest peaks with Omoro James, an ex-Commonwealth Games cyclist, and his Detour Bike Tours. I went on the most difficult tour to Fort George which gave an incredible view of Falmouth and English Harbour. The cottage I stayed in overlooked the pool and was very convenient. The cottage was very clean and very well maintained. The only issue was with the air conditioning, which, if set too low (25 C), would start to sound like a freight train at some point in the middle of the night. If it was set higher (27 C), the AC would kick off earlier in the night […] because it was cool outside and this would not be a problem. Other than this minor issue, the fully equipped and furnished cottage was very comfortable, clean, and convenient. The kitchen has every appliance you might need, including a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave, and the refrigerator included a large bottle of water. I would recommend ignoring any sign that advises that the tap water "may be safe to drink," and purchase bottled water from either the front desk or the supermarket that is a five-minute drive down the road towards St. John's. The cottage has a fully furnished living room, with a couch that converts into a bed. The bedroom is also fully furnished with dressers and a very comfortable bed with new, fluffy pillows. The entire place is beautifully landscaped and everyone is friendly and helpful. The beach is a 10-minute walk down the hill on a gently sloping road. The airport is 20 minutes away on a relatively well-maintained road. This is a great place to stay. Lees meer

Stayed in the cottages (more like a small townhome) for two nights in March 2011. Great location with easy access to St John and other north island activities. The staff was friendly and room was clean. Within an easy walk of the beach, which is shared with Sandals resort. Recommend walking down to the beach to watch a sunset or two, great view! Our […] unit had a king bed in the upstairs loft (which is where the bath was located). Downstairs there was a single bed and a pull-out queen size sofa bed in the living area, plus the kitchen. Located 10 minutes away from Dickenson bay beach (a very nice beach but nowdays already bussy, expencive umbrellas, water scooters and other modern beach amenities), with a nice garden. Rooms are large on two floors, kitchen was clean so we were using it a lot during our week long stay. A car is needed, at least to drive to a supermarket. Very good service, spacious appartment, clean, 5min walk to beach, well priced.

Excellent location, close to beach and short drive to well-stocked supermarket; good privacy in townhouse-like, up-scale accommodations; quiet and good maid service; all the comforts of home; excellent value during this off-season stay

Posizionato nel cuore di Dickenson Bay è una soluzione molto pratica ed apprezzabile per un pubblico occidentale. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite. L'arredamento risulta datato ma ad ogni modo accettabile. La nostra permanenza è stata senza dubbio piacevole.

Med fine værelser, en venlig ejer og personale. Der altid er hjælpsomme med at arrangere udflugter og svare på spørgsmål mm. vil jeg gerne give mine varmeste anbefalinger til Dickenson Bay Cottages. -Simon

Hotellet ligger i gåavstand ca 10 min. fra en av de beste strendene på Antigua. Litt langt til det nærmeste supermarkedet ca 25 min. gåtur. Hotellet har et hyggelig og velstelt bassengområde. Gjesterommene er enkle og fine. Stedet passer både for par og barnefamilier.
