Bay Village Tropical Retreat in Cairns-Noord

Good hotel....just a bit too far down the road from all the food and fun...

The staff at the Bay Village were great, very helpful and friendly everytime we saw them. The rooms require an actual key, which they were able to hold for us at the desk on our daily runs. The space was great, it was a full apartment which allowed us to make our own breakfasts and have some of our own foods. The kitchen is not well stocked though so […] it seems that many people don't actually do that much cooking there since there are so many great places to eat nearby in Cairns. Located about 20 minutes walk from Central Cairns which for us was great, we enjoy walking. Service was excellent, we only waited 10 minutes to be picked up from the Airport and the driver gave us all the info on the area on our way to the hotel. I spent a week in this hotel: great tropical habitat, very relaxing, with a pool........but the last day I found a beatle in my room: BLEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Great ambiance, beautiful pool -- great to swim in the warm rain. The limited checkin/out time can be difficult cos they have an airport shuttle, but not at the times I flew in and out. Also, I came back once at 11:15 pm and they'd already locked the doors even though they say they lock the doors at 11:30. I must admit for the affordable price we paid, I was a little weary. But.. When we arrived all I could say was "SENSATIONAL!" from the friendly staff to the daily housekeeping what more could you ask for.. We will definitely be back.. Outstanding!

A budget hotel and the room gives you a feeling of a motel. Only good thing is a friendly front desk. room clean service left my room door open on the firs day. No security locker in the room.

A place a would recommend. The only drawback was that they did not gave cleaning staff on duty on New Years day.

Good Hotel

Great place to stay, friendly and helpful staff, excellent balinese award winning restaurant. Free parking. On the downside it's 15 mins walk to the centre and the restaurants in the hotel area close the kitchen at 9pm.

Pick up from airport useful & welcomed with particularly ebullient, smiling, happy, pleased to see me staff. Room was clean but rather functional, no satellite TV for the kids & the "Balinese" garden doesn't really add much to the experience. Bay Village is a comfortable hotel between the airport and the main Cairns shopping area. Good facilities, 20 minute walk to restaurants but there is a Balinese style restaurant at the hotel. Excellent hourly free shuttle bus to the airport. Close to the esplanade for scenic walks. The staff were most helpful and friendly. We would stay there again

Very friendly helpful staff. I was on my own and felt very comftable here. walk in to the center is about 15/20mins, or approx 10 doller taxi journey. Very easy walk into town, and most days I walked in via the esplanade, one block away. Rooms cleaned every day, tea/coffee supplied. Very nice place to stay. Staff were helpful. Travelled on my own and found it a nice place to stay.

Appears to be good value for area, room was clean and staff extremely helpful. Stayed a couple of extra days, and all rooms were good. Excellent for family.

We stayed at the Bay Village Tropical Retreat for 3 nights. We were looking for a clean and reasonably priced hotel since we will be there only at night, spending the days out and about. The hotel met our expectations. While at the hotel, it was very relaxing and quiet although at times you could hear other guests coming and going from their rooms in […] the mornings (rolling luggage, moving chairs in their rooms). The room was clean and comfortable. Our room had both a ceiling fan and A/C, so our room was always cool. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. It is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the waterfront where the restaurants, shops, and marina are. It is also a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Shopping Center in the Business District. Lees meer

dirty floors, mildew on bathroom walls, stained carpet. had to keep food in sealed containers or in refrigerator because of little bugs throughout apartment. appreciated free airport transportation. food at restaurant good. pleasant staff.

A decent hotel with friendly staff. Doesn't quite look as good as the picture. No carpet floors, just tile. The pool seemed to be shut down early in the evening so i never got to use it. Nice AC unit in the room. Annoyances: no counter space in the bathroom... everything ends up on the floor. Also, small tiny little ants all over the room... walls, […] floors... but apparently lots of hotels have this issue in this area. You cant tell on the map, but its quite far from the downtown area of Cairns. But its good in that if you have a car, there is plenty of parking, and it doesn't get loud with people late at night... However, because there was a courtyard wit tables, there were people who hung out late into the night (4am) talking and drinking. I was a bit surprised as these were people in the 40 - 60 year range. Die Einrichtung und täglichen Zimmerservice war gut. Jedoch die Wände sind anscheinend aus "Papier". Dadurch war es mir kaum möglich, nach meinen Bedürfnissen Schlaf zu finden. Der Innenhof ist sehr schön mit Gehölzen versehen. Doch der Zugang der Zimmer ist gleichzeitig der Laufraum für die Gäste der Nachbarzimmer. Viel, viele Gäste haben somit auch […] am Tage ihre Zimmer dunkel, da sie Sichtschutz ihrer Privatsphäre haben wollen. Das dargestellte Hotel im Internet entspricht nicht der Wirklichkeit. Es ist nicht das zu buchende Hotelgebäude. Das Hotel liegt an einer großen, breiten Straße mit lauten Verkehrsgeräuschen. Für Australier sind die Parkflächen vor dem Hotel ideal. Vermutlich sind sie kostenlos. Das Hotel liegt an der von der Innenstadt recht weit entfernt. Jedoch zur Esplanda, der Fußweg entlang des Meeres ist gut und schnell zu erreichen. Frühstück kann ich nicht bewerten. Inzwischen buche ich niemals mehr Frühstück. Bei einem nächsten Besuch von Cairns würde ich etwas mehr Geld ausgeben und ein anderes Hotel buchen. Lees meer

Buena relación precio-calidad Hotel con piscina, con excelente restaurant balinés, piezas muy bien equipadas, todo bien, lo único que se le puede criticar fueron unas pequeñas hormigas que andaban por la pieza (al menos no picaban). Está cerca del centro de Cairns, a unos 10 minutos caminando

Hotel sympa avec une jolie decoration exterieure Balinaise. Accueillant. Personnel de l'hotel tres sympathique. Chambre correcte et assez bien insonorisee. Le seul point negatif est la position de la clim qui donne sur le lit. Pas facile de dormir quand elle fonctionne. Cependant, on y a passe 2 nuits et reussit a dormir sans trop de probleme. Le […] restaurant de l'hotel (specialites Balinaises) est aussi tres bon et pas tres cher pour le coin. On est alle y manger les 2 soirs ou on y etait et ne l'avons pas regrette un instant malgre un budget un peu serre a la base. Sinon, l'hotel est 15-20 minutes a pied a peu pres du centre et du port de Cairns pour les excursions en mer. L'avantage est qu'on peut y acceder par l'esplanade du bord de mer qui est a 3 minutes. La ballade est sympa a faire. Au global, on a ete tres satisfait de la prestation par rapport au prix que l'on a paye. Lees meer

性价比不错。位置离city稍远但好处是往来机场便捷。 房间整洁，接待和善，还送了每天5小时免费上网。

写真で見ていたとおり、とてもきれいでオシャレなホテルでした。部屋のお掃除もこまめにしてくださったり、カウンターで観光の相談に乗ってくれたりと、スタッフの対応もとても感じが良かったです。併設のバリ料理のレストランが超おすすめです。２回も通ってしまうほどでした。市内の繁華街やケアンズ駅、クルーズのための港へは１５分～２０分ほどで、少し遠いです。ツアーの送迎を利用することをおすすめします。また利用したいです。

Excellent hôtel avec beaucoup de charme. Restaurant balinais de très bon niveau. Personnel d'accueil et d'entretien très qualifié, efficace et sympathique.

ケアンズ市内から徒歩20分くらいかかるが、歩くのが好きな方にはお勧め。 受付の人の対応がすごくよかった。

Hotel familial. Agréable et calme. A 10 mn à pieds du centre.
