One King West Hotel & Residence in Toronto

Just an overnight stay here - little less costly than some of the other 'boutique' type hotels in the city. Hotel staff pleasant, easy check in. Expensive Valet for $30 and pretty much your only parking option on this busy corner. Our room had a little kitchen in it, which I can imagine handy for anyone staying longer than one night. Only turn off was […] the bedding had stains and rips in the sheets. When we were packing up we discovered left over food bits under the bed - kinda gross, but the rest of the room was clean. The air in the room we found to be very dry and stuffy overnight. The bar downstairs is nice and makes fantastic martinis! Nice hotel though next time I would pay the couple bucks extra to go back to the Pantages a nicer stay in comparison we thought. Lees meer

Upon entering this hotel it is absolutely beautiful. The architecture and history behind this hotel is amazing. Very clean staff is very polite and helpful.

5 minute walk from the train station, sub-way stop nearby, lots of restaurants/bars within walking distance. Room included kitchenette complete w/dishwasher, washer & dryer. Bath was a little small, but overall a great deal!

Great Location! Great Hotel Breakfast! Good Rooms! Good Service! Nice Personnel!

Nice rooms. Only valet parking available and it took some time to get the car when leaving. Breakfast in hotel somewhat expensive.

Really liked this hotel. The room was huge, it even had it's own washer, dryer, dishwasher & mini kitchen! The room was very quiet which is important to me since I'm a light sleeper. Overall a very good experience here...

One King West was a great hotel! Met all our expectations! Located conveniently to all attractions(Example: Air Canada Center/Rogers Centre/Eaton Centre/Bus Terminal/Train Terminal...to name a few!) Very clean...Health and Fitness Centre was amazing...great Sauna/fitness/spa!! Parked close by...less expensive than Valet parking...this tip came from […] the front desk...Thank you! We had a 1PM check-out because of other events we attented...Front desk accommodated us..Thank you. Check out was very simple...no muss..no fuss! Great hotel with large rooms, great staff and an ideal location.

The location was perfect! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bars were just around the corner and so was shopping. Subway was 1min walk away from the front door! Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Very convenient location right in the entertainment district and above subway station. My flight was cancelled due to hurricane in NY but they wouldn't let me extend my stay because one of the women said that they were fully booked but when I asked one of the men at the front desk the next day he said that they had plenty of rooms. Too late I had already […] booked another hotel for two days. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey for a very limited selection of items. We found the next day a great place, Marche only a block away. The food was excellent and the staff very nice. The room was located in the interior court which was a big disapointment for the tourist I was.

This hotel is usually my favourite place to stay in Toronto, but this time it really disappointed me. The carpets are really starting to look worn in the hallways and the cleaning staff seemed to have almost missed doing our room. There was garbage under the bed, and smudges on the windows, as well as the bathroom could have been cleaned better as well. Our room was relatively small for the cost of the room. Our bed was a double bed (2 doubles in the room) but we could not put them together. Very noisy at night, other rooms going out at 11:00 to party....yelling and screaming in the hall. No, not impressed!!

Location was great! Rooms were beautiful and clean. The only downfall (and it's a small one) is that it would've been nice to have more and better choices for room service for food (everything came either cold or you had to microwave it).

Great location- within walking distance of Union Station. Connects to PATH underground shop system and King St subway station on Yonge line. Excellent value for the price; full kitchenette facilities, even washer/dryer! Only criticism is that the shower was not really hot, took awhile to get hot(ish) water.

Location is good with a train station right outside the main door, a number of good casual food outlets nearby and a 10min walk up Yonge St to the main shopping district. However, I didn't find staff particularly friendly but maybe it's the Canadian way? They did the minimum in terms of service. Did not even offer to help with luggage upon arrival. […] Room was dated and needed a refresh. Small bathroom with basic facilities. Our room window looked out to a wall, although we did have some natural light. Best thing was the washing machine, dryer and microwave in the room. Very lovely hotel, I enjoyed my stay and the room was very agreable.

The hotel is good value particularly when you consider its proximity to the Theatre District, train station and Yonge Street shopping. The staff were generally pleasant although a couple of the Front Desk folks were not as warm as one would expect. The lobby and lobby bar is sterile however the bar staff were great. Although the lobby is dark and under construction, with the bar awkwardly placed, the historic bank lobby with restaurant in the vault is interesting. Rooms were spacious with more amenities than expected...washer, dryer, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, hot plate, fridge. View is fabulous with desk tucked into corner window. Staff friendly and accommodating. […] Walking distance to Eaton Center, Convention Center a bit of a hike, especially in cold weather. Would definitely stay there again, as room was a good value. We stay here almost every time we're in Toronto. Rooms are great, comes with little kitchenette, beds are comfy. Occasionally may be short on a face cloth or something like that, but all in all we love it, and especially the ability to go underground to the shops from the basement. Nice hotel and very well kept. Liked having a fridge - also has a well equipped small kitchen for those who like self-catering Reasonably well located (metro, buses and streetcar at door step), but be prepared to walk around a bit. Bed was good, but pillows were awful (either too big and lumpy or too small and hard). Were offered high floor (view but […] long elevator ride) or lower floor (different elevators; didn't pick this option) which was unusual and a nice touch. We tend not to engage to much with staff as we are never in the hotel when we travel except to sleep. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I was given a room on the 41st floor, overlooking East Toronto and the Harbour, which looked spectacular at nighttime. The hotel was above the King St Metro station, had the King St Streetcar stop out the front, and had the Yonge Street bus stop across the road from it. Was a perfect starting place to get around […] by public transport. Bell staff would also arrange shuttles and taxi's if required. The room was what you would expect from a self contained executive suite; fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dual stove-top hotplate, ironing board, iron, TV with 60+ channels, air con, etc. The bed was comfortable, and had 4 pillows - 2 more than most places offer with king beds. Hotel bistro had some tasty food, and the bar in the foyer was a good place to meet up with friends before heading out. Only issue I had was no free wireless or internet in rooms. There is free wireless in the lobby area, but the rooms try to charge an additional $10/night for 'wired' internet (cable provided in room). For the price of the room, and taking into consideration the overall state and exemplary presentation of the hotel, complimentary wireless internet in room shouldn't be such a big expectation in my opinion. Where were the extra blankets? We were freezing but too drowsy to call for rom service.

Amazing Location walking distance to everywhere we needed to go. The service was great and it was very clean would stay here again and again.

Nice hotel, well located. NO WIFI in rooms. (Big NO NO in this day & age) I'd go back anytime.

Very nice, clean , convenient hotel. Beautiful view from our 30th floor room.

Hotel is first rate; beautiful property; clean; near business district in Toronto. Everything is wonderful except the bathrooms tend to be too small (especially countertops) and there is no WIFI in the rooms.

I was surprised to see that the lobby renovations weren't completed yet. Also, I thought the vault downstairs had been transformed into a cool bar but it wasn't open. Finally, the internet connection didn't work - it could have been my laptop but the staff wasn't able to help me.

Our stay was excellent! Beautiful hotel, fantastic service. My only concerns were that the pull out couch in our suite was very worn and not at all comfortable and I was told upon check in that because we had a suite that a car would be available to us for transportation within the city at no charge and when I called to leave for dinner I was told they […] would flag a cab for us. I spoke to two different people who did not seem to know what I was talking about and it wasn't worth the time to sort it out. Lees meer

Extremely satisfied with our stay at 1 King West Hotel in Toronto. Staff was very pleasant and helpful and very courteous. The room was very clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for us being very close to the theatre district, within walking distance. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Convenient location, but I would not recommend it for business travellers. Lack of WiFi in rooms and $10/day charge for internet is ridiculous in this day and age. Gym is very small and severely under-equipped. Room condition is OK, although bathroom cabinets could use a cleaning and a paint job. The washer, dryer and dishwasher in the room are a big […] plus, but the fact detergent is not included is also ridiculous. Seems like penny pinching. Lees meer

One King West was a very nice hotel. All employees were extremely professional. Definitely is a hotel that I would stay in again and also recommend. The location is great in the Downtown Area. We stayed for NYE. Very close to the attractions in Toronto.

the Room was nice but extremely dusty like no one had stayed in it or cleaned it for months and it was low floors something i requested during chekin to be higher up and it wasnt posible i would probably stay there again just not sure i would prepay for my stay next time
