"STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!"
WOW. I booked this hotel because of it's proximity to the Auburn campus. I graduated from Auburn and knew the hotel was older, but it had recently been bought by the Days Inn (hotel was originally known as the Heart of Auburn) and thought that it had been upgraded. WRONG. The first room we walked into had the unmistakeable stench of something very, […] very dead. We looked around and found that a large piece of fish had been left in the turned-off refrigerator.... apparently house keeping does not clean the fridges. The state of the room was very dismal, even without the smell... one of those places you don't walk around the room barefoot. I reported the room and they moved us to another one. This one was a bit less depressing, but the decor was 1950's, the bed quilts ripped and stained, the carpet a sickly shade of greenish-dirt brown (I don't think it has ever been shampooed), and HAIRS in the sink, bathtub and back of the door where one would hang their towel. If it had not been the biggest game of the year and all other hotels booked in a 10 mile radius, we would have moved, even though our hotel fee was non-refundable. They also allow only one parking pass, and additional pass was $40... we had three cars and had to leave two parked on campus. Worst hotel room I have ever been in. Built in the 1960's and has never been touched since then. Dirty, terrible mattresses, peeling paint. Broken and loose tiles in bathroom, dirty carpet, etc.

"Older hotel, but great location and comfortable"
This is the original Heart of Auburn Hotel, so you first must realize that it is one of the older hotels. We had a clean room and great air conditioning on a 90+ degree day, We were happy with our stay. The pool was great....outdoor furniture a little old, but still good. The staff were great. You can;t beat the location.

Overall, not clean, shower didn't work, not someplace I would recommend nor would I stay here again.

Great location across the street to Auburn BUT we were disappointed in the condition of the hotel & our room. Bathroom tub, floor old & in poor shape, door would not close. Smoke alarm pulled out of wall & missing. Sheets too small for the double bed & kept coming off, blanket old & torn. Breakfast was minimal. Staff pleasant & apologetic.

While the desk clerks were extremely friendly and helpful, the building itself is in desperate need of intense remodeling. The glaze of the bathtup was peeling, there was roach poo on the nicely folded washclothes, and an old efficiency kitchenette served as the bathroom vanity and sink. I wish they had done a once-over before they rented the room which […] was obviously seldom used as there were FIVE dead roaches here and there and it would have been nice if the AC had been turned on. I know not all of the rooms were this bad because the rest of our party had a room that was cool when they arrived and was larger, but still in desperate need of an update. Overall though, we were only there for 12 hours- it was a place to lay our head and we just chose to shower when we got home that night. This hotel could stay in business forever just based on it's excellent location (it's mere feet from the university) and while the staff was courteous and helpful and the bed was completely comfy and the room was a good bit larger than most hotels within the same price range I would guess that this place has not been renovated, painted, re-carpeted […] or anything since 1974. The hotel does come equipped with a fridge and microwave but the 2 were situated directed under the clothes hangers making it impossible to hang clothes up. Not to mention that the microwave could not be plugged in from its position because the cord was too short causing us to have to plug it in over the sink (let me tell you how safe I felt trying to balance a working microwave on top of the bathroom sink!! "Days Inn Auburn"
The hotel has seen better days. The carpet was worn and the plastic tile in the bathroom was cracked. The bed was comfortable and the location is central to almost everything in Auburn. Entry and exit of the hotel is tight, but it does have ample parking once you enter.

The only good thing I can say about the 4 motel rooms I booked is: They are close to the campus stadium. My family and I were there for the Auburn graduation and booked months in advance but could only find this motel close; this was important because we all are from out of state. The price was very high (supply and demand) but the rooms were dirty […] (left over beer cans on top of TV closet), when you shut the doors the walls moved. I could go on but wont. "Auburn Days Inn"
I like the close proximity to the Auburn campus and downtown. Everything is in walking distance. But be prepared so your not disappointed in the condition of the hotel. It is in need of a major updating and if all your looking for is a place to rest your head and be close to campus this hotel is perfect. The staff is very helpful and friendly, too.

The motel was old and bad need of repair. The carpets were stained and the bathrooms were small and tubs had paint over places that had been damaged. It was not a good experience.

The only good thing about this property was the proximity to the campus. Otherwise, it was just AWFUL.

The room rate was a great deal, and the location (right across the street from the Auburn campus) was ideal for a one-night stay. The room furnishings could use an upgrade, but the size of the Master Suite was quite spacious. It appears that they took two separate end-to-end rooms and made a suite by putting a door in the wall that separted them. That […] made for 2 individual bathrooms, which came in handy. "Dilapidated hotel"
This hotel is in a pathetic state of disrepair. Although fairly clean, the bathroom is disgusting, bordering on gross. The bed is just as bad. I would have slept on the floor, but didn't because I couldn't be sure how many decades of dirt were embedded in that excuse for a carpet. This is by far the most dilapidated hotel I've ever had the misfortune […] to stay in. I honestly don't know why anyone would stay here unless they plan on not being in the room at all. The only reason I ended up here was the location and better experiences at other Days Inns. Only saving grace is that this hotel is right across from the Auburn University library and next to the Alumni Center, so you could walk to most places on campus. Lees meer
"Good Hotel with Great Location"
Was doing work at Auburn, just a short walk. Also an easy walk to downtown. While the place is showing some wear, my room had a microwave and fridge. No mold odors. Will certainly stay there again on my next trip to campus.

They stay was ok. My mom stayed here. It's a great location. She walked to graduation from the motel. She's not picky though... If you don't need a fancy new place and location is needed this is the place.

Building was in disrepair and some rooms had been renovated halfway reasonably but overall in subpar condition. rates were very reasonable tho and the conveinient location to campus made it worth the while.

The location is execellent but the hotel needs a lot of updating. With limited hotels available at graduation and other big events, this is about as good as you will get. Small bathroom, poor lighting and okay air conditioning were the most annoying. The roach was a real turn off as well. But in the south, they tell me there are everywhere.

I stayed at the Auburn Days Inn & Suites during the Iron Bowl game. It was the first time I had attended the Iron Bowl. I was not familiar with the campus lay-out. The Auburn Days Inn was only two blocks from the stadium and located in downtown Auburn. Many of the streets are blocked off during the game and parking is limited, so the location of the […] hotel made it easy to walk to the stadium and downtown. My daughter attended the game with my husband and I. She had a car accident 6 months ago and still has difficulties waliking long distances or standing on her feet for long periods. This is the main reason why I choose to stay at the Auburn Days Inn & Suites. The hotel was old, but the rooms were nice and clean and I had no maintenance issues. Lees meer

"Literally Across the Street from Campus"
The hotel may not be incredible, but the location is what you are paying for. Five minutes to walk to the stadium or the bars on College. We stayed during a non-game day, but Auburn was still a great time thanks to the short walk back to the hotel.

Couldn't ask for a better location if you've come to visit Auburn University. Check in/out was very easy. Missed the breakfasts because I slept through them. Plenty of unique restaurants just two blocks away at Toomer's corner. Hotel itself was pretty old. Sheetrock and paint needs to be redone. A/c works great. Lots of hot water available. If you're looking for an affordable, no-frills, reasonably comfortable room and need lodging close to the university, this property works just fine.

Our stay at the hotel was pleasant. Our room stayed cool during the hot summer days. The room was clean! I did not like the carpet. I appreciate all the accommodations. If I was attending an event at the university- I highly recommend this hotel.
