La Quinta Inn Brownsville in Olmito

What a great place! We got a king room with a decent view. The front desk could not do enough for you, making sure all was good with our stay. If you want a nice relaxing room for a short stay you wont be disappointed!

This is just what we needed as part of a longer trip: driving from New York to southern Mexico.

Pros: We really liked the breakfast. The room was what we expected for this price. Cons: The mattress need to be changed. I have dust mites allergies, and was coughing most of the night.

My room at La Quinta in Olmito was satisfactory; it was clean and quiet. I was especially impressed with the most accomodating desk clerk I have ever had at any hotel. He went above and beyond his duties. My complaint is that hotels.com stated La Quinta is 'wired.' Arrived at the hotel to learn it was not. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, this was the 2nd LaQuinta I've stayed at ,still nice, close to everything

The room smelled, the hotel used to be motel 8 but they just changed the name. The shower curtain had mold on it. Would not recommend.

Very nice from arrival to departure. Was very conveniant to S.Padre Island and all other parts of this Great city of Brownsville. This was first time in Brownsville/S.Padre and will return and tell others about experiance at this La Quinta Inn. (Pleasantly surprised) and you too will enjoy your stay at this Hotel also. The hotels need something in the bath tubs so you do not slip and fall. It is very slippery.

Since I travel mostly on business and needing electrical outlets to accommodate my numerous electrical items, I was appalled by the lack of outlets that was in the room I was in. Not only that, the electric outlets that were available, only one socket of of the two worked, and this was on two outlets. Also, the deadbolt did not line up with the strike […] plate on the frame thus making it impossible for the dead bolt to lock at all. AC was very cold, just the way I like it. Having a strained neck muscle prior to staying at hotel, noticed that pain had subsided while staying at hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was very clean since relatively new. Staff was nice. If traveling south on the interstate this hotel's location is bad. Had to circle around behind the hotel or head north and then back around south. Would still recommend hotel for location to either Brownsville or Harlingen and even South Padre Island. Lees meer

We only stayed at this hotel for the night...checked in about 2 am and checked out by 11 am. The employees were courteous and helpful. The room and lobby looked clean and in fairly new condition. The walls were a little thin...we could hear someone sleeping (snoring) in the room next door.

Although this hotel is outside the city limits of Brownsville or Harlingen it is close enough and it is really nice for the price. I would totally recommend!!

Convenient hotel with fast enough internet and good enough breakfast.

The hotel is a 30min drive from South Padre and 30min from Harligen Airport, so in that sense is conveniently located. If you are planning to stay at the hotel for more than 2 hrs besides sleeping, then this is not a good choice. Very poor pool area and surroundings. Excellent service and cleanliness. Located close to Highway 100 for easy access to South Padre - twenty to thirty minutes tops. Plenty of eateries and shopping a few minutes away as well.

la impresion es que le falta un poco de mtto. y limpieza en general...no tuvimos problemas, todo bien, pero antes tenia una mejor impresión, Sé que es relativamente nuevo, pero si le pensaría para regresar de nuevo. Solicite una cuna y no tenian.

MUY BUEN HOTEL, LIMPIO Y EL PERSONAL MUY AMABLE Y SERVICIAL, HABITACIONES COMODAS. EL UNICO PERO QUE LE PONDRIA SON LAS CORTINAS QUE NO CUBREN BIEN Y LA UBICACION, PERO POR EL PRECIO ESTA EXCELENTE.
