New Hotel of Marseille in Marseille

Had a great room, because for some extra money they booked me a junior suite. A huge bed, two showers and a balcony!

Overall, a nice hotel. However, lack of internet service in the room created a lot of difficulties. Numerous complaints to solve the problem resulted in nothing.

i like that the underground parking is literally under the hotel with its own entrance with good hotel discount rates and very secure. the bellboys and front desk were efficient and fast. the location is very nice if you want to stay away from the main touristy port where droves of tourists descend with the cruise ship and all but its only about 20 […] minute walk and buses abound. there is a small beach about 15 minute walk from the hotel, there are also local small patisserie and cafe for breakfast where you will not see a single tourist which is nice. the hotel is clean with basic amenities, with good provencal toiletries. i would love if the hotel will give us an option not to have our towels washed daily for water conservation. overall everyone in the hotel seems to be friendly but a bit slow service at the bar even when its not full. Wonderful hotel & staff! The only negative is the location of the hotel. The city of Marseille by the port is under construction, which no web site discussed. You can walk to the shopping areas, takes about 30-45 minutes. But, you walk on dirt, gravel & rocks. Very unsafe. The bus stops by the hotel for $1..50, one way. Bus's stop in the evening around […] 9 pm. The cabs don't take any credit cards & are expensive. Wished the same hotel was in the heart of the city. Other than two expensive meals, wish were't up to par, we wished we had skipped Marseille. The pictures by the port, look wonderful, but Nice is the place to be along with Monto Carlo!! Stunning! Beautiful hotel, but the location is a bit out of the way -- Still walkable to lots of shopping, restaurants etc, but not as close as being in the old port. Also on the pricey side...Not just the room, but all of the extras (not even free coffee in the room).

Train was delayed and we arrived at 3:00 am. The man at desk was ready and waiting for us. He had everything ready . Nice room and I enjoyed the pool the following day after touring Marseille. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Cool decor .

A good hotel in a good location - 10min walk to the Old Port and 5 mins to the nearest beach. Well served by buses. Modern hotel in good condition with attentive and pleasant staff. Restaurant excellent. Not really a family hotel.

The hotel was tastefully decorated even if there was only five beach umbrellas for so many deck chairs. The staff were nice and helpful but at times the service was a bit slow ( lack of staff ?). The food in the restaurant was good except for the breakfast which was a bit disappointing. The Hotel is Clean and Artsy. The staff was helpful and quick to respond. The decor is not for everyone, but overall the facilities are well appointed.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The pool and outside lounging area were incredibly relaxing. The hotel's restaurant was one of the best we've ever eaten at. A few minutes from the beach and a nice park is also nearby.

Great service - arrived at 1am but still checked us in perfectly, and after a big night out even bought out a tray for breakfast 30 mins after it had closed. Great location, above the port - better not to be in the port at the moment as its a building site / smelly. All in all a great hotel

New Hotel of Marseille was the first thing I got acquainted with after arriving at the airport. I was thrilled to see that it was right next to the harbor, and I only had to walk 2 minutes to step foot in the sea.Very easy access to the main dock/restaurant area, and just a few blocks away from Marseille's largest sandy beach. The staff at the hotel […] were extremely inviting and fluently spoke multiple languages, which was convenient for me, as I speak English.The check-in was quick and a friendly Bellman offered to take my luggage.The hallways are one of the outstanding features of the hotel because of the colored light arrangement. When going into the room, I was amazed at the cleanliness and amenities offered.The king-size bed was comfortable, and the shower was spacious and relaxing.The room also boasts beautiful artwork with a nautical theme. One of the best features of the hotel was the free breakfast I was welcomed to each morning, which offered an assortment of fresh items. It was kept well stocked and all of the servers were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I wasn't able to enjoy at the hotel was the pool because the weather was still a little cold, but it would have been great if the weather was a little warmer.I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know that is traveling to this part of France. Location is about 15 min walk to the Vieux Port. Hotel has nice amendities including free wifi, robes and slippers, and nice toiletries. Bed was comfortable and there is a public parking right beside the hotel. Hotel decor is very modern and room size is spacious for Uropean standard.

When you arrive at the hotel your first thought is, this can't be a four star hotel. When you walk in the door you are pleasantly surprised to see a modern, clean and welcoming atmosphere. The design is unique but comfortable. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean, the bed was excellent, and they offer a large variety of channels on the TV which […] is nice since there were 2 English speaking channels (BBC & CNN) available. The shower was easy to use, there was a nice hair dryer an excellent vanity set up that includes good lighting and extendable mirror. They did not offer a 120 volt outlet, which we found in other France hotels. They offered a nice breakfast, it was a little pricey but that seems typical in France. The room was quiet and had nice air conditioning. It is located on an extremely busy corner so it is a little challenging to bring your luggage in and to go to and from the location. We spent ten days in Marseilles and treated ourselves to this hotel for the last four days. It's was just lovely. The pool is gorgeous, clean, cool and inviting. There are plenty of sun loungers around it and a sheltered terrace and drinks/food are served there 24 hours a day. The rooms are large, inviting, clean with great views. It takes about 5 minutes […] to walk to the Vieux Port one way, five minutes to the beach the other. The restaurant and bar are quite expensive though there are some good deals to be found. We stayed at this hotel for one night in mid-April. The bell boy who helped us with our luggage (a very friendly Swede) turned out to be very helpful in other areas as well, recommending the best sights to see with our limited time, as well as a restaurant where we could try the famous Bouillabaisse. This hotel, is just far enough away from the noise of the city but close enough to walk to the restaurants and bars. This is my second stay here and find the hotel is well placed and clean and comes highly recommended.

very nice hotel, very friendly staff and a good location. enjoyed my stay there very much, my only criticism would be that the price of breakfast was just ridiculous - the breakfast was good, but not THAT good. if you stay there i'd recommend eating at one of the many cafe's in the neighborhood.

In the hotel description there was wireless connection at the hotel. It was to expensive per day and the free zon at the bar was not very good and compilcated with passwords. Oveall a nice and clean hotel with a nice pool restaurant.

This hotel is about 10 or 15 minutes from the heart of Marseille and in a wonderful position perched as it is above the Vieux Port. The interior of the hotel, it's communal areas and bedrooms have a contemporary trendy theme including multicolour lighting in the corridors. Dinner was very appetising albeit a little expensive. Overall I would recommend a stay at this hotel and parking (underground garage by hotel entrance) at the present Euros 12 per day is very reasonable compared with many other rates prevailing in France at the present time. A new, American style hotel. Close to the old port but quite a trek to the centre of town, metro stop etc. Room modern, clean and comfortable- we had a problem with the aircon which was fixed quickly. Nice pool but didn't open til 9.30 am. Good quality breakfast including mugs of coffee. Friendly staff.

The hotel is wonderful except for the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. It's some sort of cooling system, but not air conditioning. If you're staying in the winder, not a problem but when we were there in July of 2010 is was unbearable.

New Hotel of Marseille Le Pharo was a very pleasant surprise. Hotel is located right across the road from the Le Pharo Parc. The hotel is quite modern, and the room was very nicely furnished with a balcony overlooking the old fort. Staff were quite courteous and very helpful. Très bel hotel contemporain, assez bien situé. Personnel attentionné, chambre agréable. Si nous devions faire une suggestion : les capsules de café à 2,50 euros l'unité ainsi que l'absence de thé dans la chambre seraient à revoir.
