Gezellig resort. Nette modern ingerichte kamers. Prettige bediening. Eten en drinken ruim aanbod bij all inclusive. Fijn zwembad met ligbedden. Dichtbij het strand, faciliteiten strand gratis.

Luxe hotel met een ideale ligging: het strand ligt direct aan de overkant van de weg. Blijkbaar kan je bij de receptie vouchers krijgen voor ligstoelen en een parasol op het strand, maar dat is ons nooit verteld. Wel wat onderhoudsproblemen in onze kamer: water in wastafel liep niet goed door, water in de douche stroomde de kamer in, waterketel deed het niet goed, maar dat was wel overkomelijk voor de 3 nachten. Het enige minpunt waren de harde bedden. Nog nooit op zo'n hard matras geslapen. Het leek wel alsof je op de grond sliep. Een zeer aangename verrassing was het eten: uitstekend ontbijt en avondeten.

Dit hotel is echt een aanrader. Wij hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de zee. Alles brandschoon, goed onderhouden en zeer comfortabel. Lekker ontbijt op terras in het naastgelegen café. Het hotel ligt tegenover het publieke strand, je hoeft alleen de weg over te steken. Leuke restaurantjes in de buurt. Het hotel heeft ook een reisbureau voor excursies. Excursie met catamaran zeer aan te bevelen.

"voldoet niet aan status"
het personeel is vriendelijk , maar als er iets moet gebeuren moet je het wel driemaal vragen. Mijn beoordeling zou postief zijn indien het hier gaat om een 2 sterren hotel, maar dit hotel voldoet helemaal niet aan zijn 4 sterren status. Het euvel ligt volgens mij aan het management die op zijn zachtst "amateuristisch " mag genoemd worden. "De sauna […] mag niet warmer dan 60° " van het management.....Nooit en nergens ter wereld bestaat het dat een sauna onder de 80° blijft. De keuken is eerder middelmatig en de twee aparte restaurants (reserveren en bijbetalen) halen een beter niveau. Zonder wagen of taxi kom je nergens : afgelegen. Hotel facility was nice however, the choice of food and drinks was limited. Choice of desserts particularly ice-cream, and pastries was poor and there were no facilities for light snacks and bites, specially at the bars. All bars seemed to serve the same drinks. "An amazing all inclusive family holiday"
Room - the junior suite was spacious and modern. Hotel service was excellent with staff going the extra mile. Food was decent but lacked variety. All inclusive is a must as the hotel prices are ridiculous. "Bad facilities"
I had a somewhat urgent medical issue, so I requested the hotel for an in-house doctor. They made us wait repeatedly saying "doctor will be at your room any minute". We waited for nearly 5 hours, and their doctor never showed up. Food wasn't great. Most of the food was partially cooked, and seemed rather raw. Buffet menu barely changes, so we had to […] have same food every day. Good location. Some staff was friendly, some were pretty hostile. Room was unhygienic and had lot of mosquitoes. They said they would get a mosquito coil, but that never came either. I would rate this hotel in bottom 2% of all hotels I have visited worldwide. "Family holiday"

"Excellent customer service"

"Hotel needs a make over"
The Hotel has the infrastructure, but needs a make over. Piant work and new tiles and if they can repair the aircons not to be noisy so some one can sleep it will be a improovement. "Just doesn't cut it"
Location, beach and aspect are great. BUT it ends there. Service is very patchy eg one lunch at Shells Restaurant we were served on time next lunch we waited over an hour and half for the food and the food quality throughout the resort is average at best. We stayed in the Nirvana wing and our room was close to the wing entrance where they had decided, […] in peak season, to undertake some non essential cosmetic repairs involving daily electric sawing and hammering morning thru afternoon. This was going when we arrived and was still going when we left (5 days). So whether you were in your room or pool area noisy repairs morning and afternoon. Just senseless. Loved every moment of it! Nirvana was 'Nirvana', beautiful sea views during the day time as well as the aw-inspiring stars at night. "Reasonable option for the price."
Overall the hotel is a good value for the price you pay. My wife and I chose the "all inclusive" package, which is worthwile. I'd say that 3/4 of the drinks and food menus were part of the "all inclusive" - this means that we did not have to spend anything else on food or drink. Night entertainment is very poor. There was this same band playing every […] night, the same songs at the same place, and finishing the show at 11 p.m. sharp. There was nothing else to do thereafter. Food in general was not superb, but it was ok. Actually, one of the restaurants - La Faya - served pretty reasonable food "a la carte", but the items were covered by the "all inclusive". Staff of the pool bar were friendly and efficient. On the other hand, staff of the restaurants were extremely slow and inefficient. At some point, we had to wait 30 min to receive the bill/check of a meal. All the rooms of the regular area (not Nirvana) were beachfront. The beach and sea are amazing - very clear water with no waves - but don't forget to bring your special shoes to get into the water, because it is almost impossible to step on the rocky sea. Finally, although the hotel is a bit isolated, it is somewhat close to Grand Baye (15-20 min taxi ride), which, in turn, is a place full of bars and restaurants. "A nice slice of Nirvana"
Overall the staff were keen to please but the language barrier often caused some confusion. We also need to have some written instructions on arrival rather than verbal as we were very tired from our flight and not really comprehending all the info so had to revisit reception on a number of occasions to clarify. There was a delay in check in however […] we were provided with complimentary drinks with dinner to make amends. Our accommodation was delightful in the Nirvana area and food was always good. We were disappointed that some children were booked into the Nirvana restaurant (as this was not supposed to be the case, however they were well behaved. The Le Faya restaurant was very good. We also noticed that some guests from the general part of the resort came and saved pool lounges around the Nirvana pool early and reduced the opportunity for the Nirvana guests to obtain a pool side lounge - needs to be monitored better. Concierge services were also excellent - organising for us to attend the Maruritius Races - great day! "Ok hotel with great staff."
Hotel generally was ok. Not fantastic if you have a child in a pushchair as there are no lifts and a lot of steps. However that aside the rooms were comfortable enough with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children, just a little bit damp smelling with mold on some bathrooms walls. Food in restaurants was good in particular Shells and La Faya. We were […] half board which was good because food and beverage were not cheap and there are no restaurants outside the hotel close by. A little shop next to the hotel is good for buying water and other essentials. The beach and pool were fantastic and there was a wonderful kids club. "As good/bad as 4* in Turkey"
The hotel basically maintained by Indians (not by Creoles). The hotel itself reminded me good 4* hotel in Turkey it is good but not acceptable for such relatively exotic vacation as Mauritius. First two days wanted to go back to home only on third day get used to living. the only positive is a room view but i9t is not a reason to book the hotel. Le Meridien Ile Maurice is a great resort. The facilities are lovely. Great pool and bar. The rooms are a little dated so I would like to see some renovations starting in the near future. Saying that - the rooms were quite large and comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean. They did not have anything in the bar fridge (in any rooms) which I thought […] was a little strange. This worked well for us as we just bought soft drinks and snacks and used the fridge to store them. No one seemed to mind. We did have a problem with our air conditioner but as soon as we told the front desk the maintenance staff were out trying to fix it. When we were not happy with the result they promptly moved us to another room. The service at the hotel was great. We got a great rate for this hotel and if the same rate came along I would stay there again. However, if there was no special on then I would probably look at staying somewhere that has been renovated more recently. All in all - Very nice hotel. "Le Merdian Il Maurice - Don't Bother"
The staff at the hotel were extremely rude, not helpful at all, the hotel staff needs to be trained in hospitality. The food was not that great, the "Chefs" burnt a simple egg. There were flies inside of the coffee cups...the servers would just pour the coffee in it anyway! The cleaniness of the hotels was disgusting, the showers had mould, and was […] grimey. The towels were torn and worn out. There was hair in the bedding and on the side tables from the previous guests. This hotel is no 4 star, it should be downgraded to a 3 star!!! "Le Meridian Ile Maurice - Greatly disappointed!"
During our arrival, we were impressed with the style, class and over all feel of the hotel. We stayed in the Nirvana complex which was slightly disappointing as we expected more of a romantic feel, however the rooms were comfortable and convenient. The swimming pool area was peaceful and quite as promised - with no young children allowed. The staff […] were very friendly and helpful, however we left a memory card full of our pictures of the holiday on the bedside table during breakfast, and when we returned after the room service had been, it was gone. We informed security and staff, who were very unhelpful, and to this day we still have not found it or had any information from the hotel. This incident happened half way through our 2 week stay and we had to keep pressuring the staff about its whereabouts. Would not recommend to anyone. "Le Meridian, pointe aux piments, Mauritius"
On the whole, We really enjoyed our five night stay here. We are a family of two adults and two kids aged 6 and 4. We were Mauritius 3 weeks in total and stayed with family for the majority of the time with the last few days in the hotel. The rooms and hotel is a little dated but that is partly the rustic style. Our deluxe garden room with sea view […] was big enough but the phone didn't work and a few fittings in the bathroom were broken but the sea view was wonderful. We were a bit of a walk from reception too, maybe 400m. The beachfront location was brilliant but they could do with a few more sun beds along the beach. The kids loved the pool. The sea bed along the hotel is rocky and unfortunately full of sea urchins which is a shame and makes the waterskiing, sailing, snorkelling a bit dangerous. Shame. We went all inclusive which i highly recommend. The prices of the drinks and food are extortionate otherwise. Service was very good but a little slow in the restaurants. The quality of the food was extremely good though. The buffet in the main restaurant was excellent. Spa prices were ridiculous which was a shame because we would have booked more treatments were it not for that. Check in was dreadfully slow however. hotel is huge with lots to do water skiing brilliant - Marcel was an amazing teacher. snorkling around the hotel was really good too. hotel needs to be renovated it looks little run down it should be ranked as a 3.5 star. food good dinner got boring after few days and the desrts seemed to be recycled everyday. service really good. drinks expensive. The appearance of the hotel and beach area is nice and the staff is very friendly. The website of the hotel does not give an accurate overview. For instance: the infinity pool is only accesible if you book an (expensive) Nirvana room and if you book HB/FB/All Inclusive not everything what you would expect is included; for better quality food you have […] to pay a lot extra. The menu's in the a la carte restaurants and wine list are limited and not even all wines were available (the last night we ordered a white wine but only the house wine was still available!!!) . We booked the hotel for snorkeling activities because their website is referring to the reef which you could access from the beach, but don't keep your hopes too high. The sea swimming area is also limited and it is dangerous to swim beyond the markers because of the water sports. We stayed 9 days and it was great! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did diving with the dive center and Jonathan and the whole crew there made it fun and enjoyable. Fortunately another room was available in a newer part of the hotel called Nirvana and we were moved there, had this not happened we would have checked out of the hotel and attepted to get a refund from Expedia. The […] maintenance of the rooms in this hotel seems to be its weakness. The commom areas of the hotel, swimming pools, gardens, spa were well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were on a half board basis, the seafood buffet in the 360 degree restaurant which we had on our first night was disappointing, after that we made reservations at the La Faya restaurant (no additional cost) which was excellent. Room was great, particularly as it had a nice veranda . Good variety of food. watersport activities worth using. Before booking though, really consider whether you want half-board or all inclusive as drinks quite expensive. lovely hotel. Staff were very helpfull and polite. The food was very good. In the 180 degree restaurant, however, it felt at times as though you were eating in a canteen due to the buffet. Here you will find an a la carte menu and waiter service, for no extra cost. La Faya was my personal favourite, where you can dine al fresco, overlooking the Indian Ocean. "Pros and cons"
My wife and I stayed 5 nights on the hotel in April/11, we booked a Deluxe Ocean View room, but once we checked-in we realized the room had mold on the bathroom's'ceiling. After complaining with guest relations we were upgraded to a Nirvana garden view room. In terms of service the Nirvana section of the Hotel is well served, but if you stay on the […] standard room you will struggle during peak season (as our friends have). Food on the La Faya restaurant was always excellent, including breakfast. On the 180 Degrees breakfast was also good, but on some of the days they actually ran out of coffee (amazing) and were serving instant coffee instead. Dinner there was way bellow 4 star grading, specially seafood. The beach is beautiful, but as most of the beaches in Mauritius it has stones and you have to use protective shoes to swim at ease. We got the all inclusive package, and can eat and drink most items for free. Make sure you get the all inclusive deal if available, as drinks are quite expensive, and you only get water in room on check in. Room facilities are in line with 4 star -- not as good as a 5 star hotel but ok on the whole. Rooms are quite spacious though. Hotel facilities […] are good. "If you ignore food, the rest is great"
The food was atrocious! seriously. it would have been bad by any hotel standard, let alone a 4-star property. the chicken wings were coated in flour and you couldn't taste the chicken (if there was any there). the samosas were dry and tasteless and came with ketchup?!? There was nothing "local" on the room service menu and the standard fare was horrid. […] even the sphagetti was tasteless. I did not have one good meal during the entire time I was at the resort, which really ruined the experience for me. They need a new chef and an entirely new approach to food at this resort. If you can get past the food, then the rest of your stay should be enjoyable. I stayed in the nirvana wing, which was nice. The rooms are spacious (though starting to show their age), the private beach is clean; the servers bring you drinks and little snacks during the day. The message therapists are good - i really enjoyed the thai massage. Only other negative was the gym. It has your basic equipment but it is relatively small and dark with no natural light or ventilation. That's a real shame given the location and the views. "Just Book It! Especially the Nirvana Rooms"
We had a fantastic stay at the Le Meridien. We chose to stay at the Nirvana section because we wanted a peaceful and tranquil stay (no kids under 12 allowed in the section!). The hotel setup works very well because you can go to the main section where the families hang out - if you feel for some activity or you can relax in the NIrvana section, which […] has a stylish pool, bar, restaurant and lounge area where kids are not allowed. "Everything we wanted it to be."
What a great holiday. We went in July their winter as it was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary the hotel made it very special. We had some rain (very little really) but the weather was lovely I think the summer would of been to hot. The hotel was lovely food very good we ate most evenings in the 180 dinning room as there was always something different […] & the standard was very good. The staff at the hotel are some of the nicest people I have ever meet and also the people who live on the Island are so nice freindly & helpful. The water sports are all free but I would recomend if you like to have a drink you must go all inclusive as they are very expensive. This is the third time i have stayed at Le Meridien and this time i was with my father, loved every minute and was lovely to see the same staff there from the last 2 times. My special recommendations to; Anne from Housekeeping, she makes your stay feel very warm and welcome and her smile would light up a room! Artee and Davina from 180 Degree Restaurant, […] both of these girls will go out of there way to please you, they are an asset to Le Meridien. "Disappointing"
We arrived at 11.30am & were escorted to a dirty table (food and drink spills all over it) next to reception while a staff member organised our check in. A good concept providing its a speedy, organised process. We were given a welcome drink, coconut water and some kind of oat biscuit. Then, we were left waiting for over an hour before the girl came […] back to us to say the room wont be ready until after 2pm. We explained that were on our honeymoon and are very tired...as we have the 'All Incl' package can we have a drink at the bar while we wait? she said yes but its chargeable as the A.I package begins at 2pm. We asked her to ask the manager if they could make an exception for us to which was replied, "Ok I'll ask" She didnt come back!!!! We waited a further 20 mins b4 I lost patience, walked to the reception myself and asked to speak to the manager. They eventually let us have an incl drink. But it was after more than 1 & a half hrs of waiting in limbo before we could relax. By far the worst check in Ive ever experienced. Similarly we were offered a complimentary honeymoon pack which included a candlelit dinner & short massage. The vouchers werent in our room on arrival & it took 2 phone calls & 3 trips to the reception desk over 2 days b4 they were given to us. Screaming kids everywhere. Everything else was ok but the service needs alot of work. There are better 4 star hotels in Mauritius than this.. This place would be a great 3 star. Honeymoons.. Find somewhere else. "好过上一次的体验"
如果说去年去毛球中国人还挺稀少的话,今年的中国人那就是太多了,以至于这家酒店的普通客房居然爆满,于是我们赚了便宜——免费升级到最Top的区域和房间。我预定了3间房,只有2间升级了,还有一间没升的原因是因为我家Baby,最Top的区域不可以有未满16岁的少年儿童居住,算是一个小小的遗憾。大堂的Manager时隔一年了,阅人无数居然还记得我,算是另一个小惊喜。妈妈和岳母都是居住期间的生日,因此获得了红酒、蛋糕和房间床铺特殊布置的待遇,很漂亮很用心,又是一个惊喜。居住期间难得碰到不下雨但风清气爽不冷不热的几天,和上次去的温度体验差别很大,此乃最后一个惊喜。据闻今年将进行硬件更新升级,希望明年再去的时候有更好的体验吧!Gecontroleerde Hotels.com gastenbeoordeling
