Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach

This is a great getaway for families with the easily accessible shuttle to get you to restaurants, shopping, beach, etc..the Village was great for shopping, restaurants, music and activities for kids. The draw back was staying in le ceil, there was no room service, only one restaurant(opened only for breakfast and early lunch), and a pool bar open only […] about 4 hours mid day. Otherwise you have to hop a shuttle to go to the village to get anything. There is one convenience store in the village but very over priced. The front desk staff are very accommodating and friendly. 1 word of warning, make sure you understand - although the pictures show everything "on the beach", the studio suites are actually on the other side of the highway, and you take a tram to the beach. The complex however is very clean, and there is a shopping / dining /entertainment area within. The staff is very friendly / helpful. The resort is gorgeous with everything you need right there. We stayed at the Grand which was in easy walking distance to the restaurants in The Village and a short shuttle ride to the beach. The room was a nice size for a one bedroom and was very clean. The only down side of our stay was that the next units balcony was right outside our bedroom window […] and the people in that unit were loud talkers. Arrived late night and left the next morning, so did not use facilities. The online price was very reasonable. My confirmation number could not be found, but since I had it on my mobile phone, the pleasant reservation people accepted it.

We stayed right next to The Grand Sandestin at The Bahia. We stayed in a one bed room suite with kitchen, perfect for family of 4! rooms were large, kitchen well stocked with utensils, bed was extremely comfortable! Parking underneath building made it very easy!!!! We didn't realize the little town right on the hotel grounds that offered so much for […] a family to do without driving!!!! The beach was gorgeous!!! There is an app that you can download that is supposed to help with navigating the resort, we found this app useless, it was not functioning correctly so we could not pull up a schedule for the tram that brings you to and from the beach. They really need to find a better way to post the tram schedule. If you miss a tram the next one is half hour behind which is a long time with little children!!!! From the beginning it was interesting to say the least. Why would you add the price for cleaning to the room rate after confirmation and right before your about to check in??? Bad business! We then waited for 45 mins for our room to be ready for check in. Why is check in @ 4pm and checking out is at 11am??? (to maybe have the room cleaned?) When we […] did check in it was 79 degrees in the room and told by a technician it wasn't working correctly. When called for an inspecition on the AC they showed up @ 645. The photos are decieving, The ressort was à beautiful place but only à small section of The 24000 acre ressort is actually on The Beach. Our vehicles were not easily accessible from our room(We had to park in a garage) and parking was scarce. To try and make up for this, the resort gives you free use of a bike while you stay! The Grand Sandestin is fantastic if you want to be able to walk to Baytowne Wharf and still have a pool/resort like setting. It's a lovely property and the rooms are very nice and spacious. We stayed in a studio and was much bigger than a standard hotel room. The only drawback to the Grand is that if you're staying in Bahia or one of the other buildings […] outside of the main building, then it's a pain to get your things to /from and there is very little service offered. We had to park in the garage onsite, and there was no luggage rack near the elevator, so we had to drive back to the front area and ask a bellhop for help. The Sandestin had everything that you could need for your beach vacation. Including places to swim, eat, and party. Wish I would have know about the resort fees when I checked in, but that's the only complaint.

I recommend it for couples and people with families. Amazing hotel for people that like doing lots of outdoor activities. The surrounding of the hotel is great too. Beach, water park, etc.

Room was nice. However, we stayed in first floor. our view was parking lot, and the AC from the second floor dripped to our balcony. The bed was fixed every day BUT if you want new sheets, you have to pay $50 each time. Obviously there is NO breakfast at the resort. on the positive note, our stay included FREE bike rentals, kayaks, tennis & canoes.

The trip was great. The rooms were clean, there were multiple pools to visit, the restaurants were delicious. My only complaint were some of the drivers on the shuttles that took us to the beach and to baytowne warf; some were VERY rude. But the trip was great and it was nice to park our car and stay in the community the whole time.

Sandestin is an incredible place and all the amenities offered make it a top-choice destination. La Ciel is not the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was clean, comfortable, and for the most part, quiet. The only complaints that I have: a king-size bed was requested and we even called the hotel directly to make sure this was arranged. When […] we got there, they put us in a double-bed room and said that they didn't have any king beds available. After a little prodding and several hours, the front desk staff was able to make something work and put us in a nicer room with a king bed. Kudos to their customer service for that, but the ordeal was frustrating. Also, hotel maintenance was working in the room next to us very loudly, beginning at 8:00am. While I understand that they have a job to do, I was looking forward to sleeping in on my vacation but instead was woken by the sounds of drilling. All in all, this hotel is comparable to the likes of Best Western or Holiday Inn, but the location makes it excel. For the value, I would recommend La Ciel and plan to stay here again myself. The stay was awesome, hotel was awesome, and the hotel was awesome. The largest issue was the $250+ fees that were charged at checkout. This was absolutely absurd and needs to be expressed in detail prior to the stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Sandestin. It really is the center of all activity and is very conveniently located so that it makes getting to the village and other places very easy. We stayed at Westwinds. The rooms were large and spacious with a great view of the beach. Very secure with code accessed gates everywhere. Had a great time!

The hotel and stay was nice. But the resort fees were not mentioned, which increased the daily rate. If this was known up front, I may have chosen another hotel. There were no ice machines available. You could purchase bags, very poor.

it was great, although hotels.com told me we were going to have a room on the beach, not a condo on a private beach, but a room that, when you opened you door to step outside, you would be standing on the beach.

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel/room were perfect. My only complaint was the noise from the outside below. They use a golf cart and large rolling container to pick up the trash in the area, is is beyond loud!!! Mind you this is not the hotel, but the surrounding places.

Great golf resort. Baytowne are has a decidely "Disney" feel to it, but a range of food and entertainment options. Worth a visit.

We loved the Luau location...close to the beach, within a 4-5 minute walk, and great ocean views. Definitely the place to stay in the resort if you want to truly enjoy the beach!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!! We WILL be back!
