Rica Victoria Hotel in Oslo

Ons verblijf in het Rica Victoriahotel was gewoon goed, de kamers zijn eenvoudig maar schoon en alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Wij hadden een kamer aan het binneplein zodat open zetten voor ventilatie geen optie was. Wel was het erg rustig, want dit binnenplein wordt gebruikt voor het ontbijt, en er is verder niet veel activiteit. Een kamer met een […] raam aan de straat is misschien minder rustig, want je zit wel midden in het centrum. De lokatie is zeker het grootste pluspunt van dit hotel, bijna alles zit op loopafstand. Het havengebied en de storting beide binnen de kilometer. Het enige wat niet helemaal volgens de verwachtig was, was dat de parkeergarage onder het hotel die in de website wordt genoemd niet van het hotel was, maar een particuliere parkeergarage. Deze was dus vol. Een andere grote parkeergarage was echter twee kilometer verder, goed te lopen, alleen kregen we hier natuurlijk niet de korting die het hotel bij de andere garage wel geregeld heeft. Rica Victoria Hotel is een fijn hotel, op een goede locatie midden in de stad. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is erg goed en uitgebreid! schone kamers en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes!

De ligging was goed, op loopafstand van het centrum, de haven en het station. Helaas was de hotelkamer beneden onze verwachting. Wij hadden een kamer grenzend aan de binnenruimte, wanneer we het raam open hadden staan kwam er teveel lawaai naar binnen (vanuit de bar, en vroeg in de ochtend de geluiden van andere gasten die al aan het ontbijt zaten). […] Het was benauwd en erg warm in de kamer, de airco maakte wel veel lawaai maar gaf geen koelte. Het raam openzetten bracht ook geen frisse lucht binnen, daar deze uitkwam op een overkapte binnenruimte. Bedden schoven uit elkaar, en de matrassen waren te zacht. Kortom: wij gaan hier niet meer overnachten. Oslo is daarentegen zeer de moeite waard!!!! Lees meer

Prima hotel, goed ontbijt. Nette kamers, met zelf koffie of thee zet mogelijkheden. Prima minibar (tegen betaling). Badkamer met voldoende handdoeken. Kamers zijn niet heel groot, maar wel exxtra stoel en bureau. Weinig faciliteiten in het hotel (geen diner mogelijk) maar in hetcentrum van Oslo is genoeg te doen en dat is naast de deur. First the location of the hotel is ideal. Many important sightseeing sites are within walk distances. Second the breakfast is great. They make sure that you would not miss something even if you show up at the last minute of the breakfast period. Third the central heating system works quiet but effective. Plezierige ontvangst, mooie kamers. Ruime gezinskamer. Liftcapaciteit te klein tijdens spitsuren. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, maar zwakke logistiek . Bijvoorbeeld: tafels te laat afgeruimd voor nieuwe gasten, aanvoer van nieuwe etenswaren aan de trage kant, maar wel allemaal lekker en vers.

Pluspunten zijn de nette kamer, het uitgebreide ontbijt, de vriendelijkheid van het personeel . De centrale ligging van het hotel is ongetwijfeld het grootste pluspunt . :-( het hotel zelf heeft geen restaurant .

Stayed in a superior room on the 8th floor. Very nice interior desing, comfortable bed, quiet room, only noticable sound was from the bells of the city hall adn the usual party people singing in the street. Personnel was service oriented and friendly. Breakfast buffe' really good. The location is perfect, just a block away from the main street of Oslo, […] and just a few minutes walk down to the harbour in front of the City Hall. The hotel is very ok at a central location. B U T what has happened to Oslo? Nowhere else in Europe I have experienced such a sleazy atmosphere (and I have been to most countries in both western and eastern Europe). Nice hotel and location. I did not like breakfast room: it was crowded in the artrium, we could not find available tables and the service was slow. As a result - stressfull instead of relaxing breakfast.

This hotel is an excellent alternative for those who don't want to spend upwards to $300 a night at the larger international chains. The buffet breakfast (included) makes it an even better value. Granted, you may not get the over-the-top feelings but considering the expense of dining and travel it's a great offset. Centrally located near the government […] buildings it's about a 8 minute taxi ride from the train station (which connects via high speed train to the airport). There are a number of Rica Hotels in the area so make sure you get the right one! Good location and everything was fine. Would recommend for business traveller.

I was not sure what to expect when i booked this hotel for a business trip, when i arrived at the hotel i was very satisified. I think this is a good place to stay for business or leisure, its in a great loaction, just off the mail street but also very quite. I loved my room it was so cozy and inviting. Rica Victoria is in a great location; a short walk from the train station. Good breakfast buffet. Fair value for money in a very expensive city.

The area outside the lift on the 6th floor had spillages, stains & used tea bags, not a very good impression when you step out of the lift for the first time, and to find it still there the next day.

The receptionist first put us (my wife and I) in a room with two twin beds. The room was also located next to the bar. They changed our room the next day when we requested it. In summary, adequate service, very good breakfast, and excellent location (near the city center and metro).

The Rica hotel in Oslo was the best one we had in a two weeks vacation in Norway. Thalma and David

Stayed for 3 nights At first had a twin room comfatable beds but noisy, was changed to a double room on top floor with a soft and sunken in the middle double bed which was not changed. Besides that exelent breakfast staff and location

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Rica Victoria. The concierge is very friendly and helpful. Some helpful things that I found very positive at this hotel: 1. Central hotel - close to everything - to museums, to sea, to bus, to underground, to shops - everything. Hotel was warm and in great condition and provided an excellent buffet breakfast. A very nice hotel with good service, good value for money (£90 pounds for a night for a single room after taking into account the prices at Olso). The hotel is really beautiful inside, esp. the breakfast area. The included breakfast is one of the most incredible I have ever seen at a hotel. Huge buffet each day that is like some hotel's Sunday brunches for $40. We got a very good deal here, compared to other Oslo hotels, which tend to be quite expensive. We really liked where we were--close to harbour, back a block from the main streets. The staff at the hotel was very helpful--explaining sights, trains, buses etc. The breakfast was very good, and room was fine, with enough room, but not large. I stayed two nights on a business trip. It is a significant walk (with rollerboard luggage) from the central train station but do-able (I took a taxi on return). The front desk was very helpful and welcoming, the room was fresh, clean, roomy (but not spacious). The inroom coffee & tea and wireless internet kept me connected with work. We stayed at the Rica Victoria for two nights and found it to be a wonderful value. It was clean, comfortable and close to Karl Johans Gate and the waterfront. The price was very reasonable considering how expensive Oslo can be. I would definitely use the Rica again if I return to Oslo.

I had a very bad experience at this hotel arrving mid-evening in the pouring rain on a business trip. THe room I was given on the top floor was virtually vibrating with noise from something on the roof - I immediately asked for another room but was told they were full as were their other hotels. The hotel was great! The room was large by Scandinavian standards. Very clean, and close to the Royal Palace. Was a great jumping off point for many museums as it was a short walk to the ferries by City Hall. Staff was very helpful, and let us secure our luggage for the day after we checked out. Staff were friendly. Room was nice and tidy, but far too warm. Location is very central but on a side street. Overall, would use it again.

The location is just great. It's close to train station, tram to Vingeland Park, and ferries to the FRAM museum. The included breakfast buffet was very nice that you barely need any lunch. With the cost of living at Oslo, this is truly a good deal. The only downside is the 6AM trash collection. I would bring ear-plugs if I were you.

Great location for getting around the city. We took the flybuss into city and had a one block walk. Couldn't be easier. The Rica hotel is within steps of Karl Johans Gate and within easy walking distance to Ager Brygge and the Palace. The Bus from the airport drops you off a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel was just a few blocks from major bus and tram lines to take you anywhere you wanted to go. It was just a few blocks walking from the harbor, ideal.

I dont think many of the hotels have air in Oslo but we happened upon this lovely city in the middle of a heat wave. The hotel did give us a fan to use which was helpful and we stayed out till very late so that we would not have to smolder in the room. The room we were given was inside so their were no windows. The outside located rooms probably had […] windows that opened which would have been okay. The location however was great. Walking distance to the palace and the harbor. Staff was very friendly. We did not get to enjoy the breakfast as we flew out quite early in the morning. I would recommend this for price and location just not during the hot time of the year. Very clean, great location, excellent breakfast.

The location is great, the breakfast is excellent, there is free wi-fi in the lobby, and the location can't be beat. Altogether, good value for the money in Oslo. Recommended.

My stay in the Rica Hotel was Excellent. The room was immaculately clean and very spacious. The staff were friendly. The Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice of foods. I would highly recommend this hotel to any one and I will stay here again next time I am in Oslo.

El hotel es cómodo pero el baño no de un 4*. El desayuno los domingos se sirve a las 8:00 y los días festivos. En el viaje tuve dos días de estos, con lo que eso fue una gran incomodidad, aunque el último día me permitieron bajar unos minutos antes. El desayuno está bien y la localización buena.

Jättebra hotellvistelse med bra frukost. Lugnt och tyst på kvällen så att man kunde slappna av, något jag uppskattar då jag var där på affärsresa.
