Stayed here recently. Room was very small. Very noisy due to a wedding.The shower controls were hanging off the wall. Not recommended

Great value for money, comfortable rooms, good bar food, easy location for Bolton Arena and football ground. But most of all some the friendliest service I have recieved during a hotel stay this year.

Great Bargain but they made up for it with the bar prices. 1 glass of wine and 1 bottle of beer.... £12.00!

My experience at the hotel was pleasant and wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were nice and the services offered were up to good level. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel .

Another nice stay at this hotel. The mostly French staff had one or two issues with pricing at the bar, and the graft beer was pretty poor, but other than that - all good. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight whilst visiting friends. The hotel is well situated near the Reebok stadium with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean, fairly spacious and modern. The staff very friendly although the bar is quite expensive.

Overall it was not a good stay. The room was facing the road which was noisy. The radiator in the room was making horrendous noises all night making it impossible to get any sleep.The lady at reception never smiled.The pool and gym are very good however.

For the price this was brilliant - good swimming pool and excellent breakfast for £9.

Rooms not as clean as they could have been and rather shabby paint work etc. very noisy in corridor outside our door in the night with drunk people at a party in the function room Breakfast was excellent

I was very pleased with my stay in the hotel. It was a great location for anyone attending a game at the Reebok Stadium (only a 10 min walk). Food in the restaurant was very good as well. Midday check out on Sunday morning was a nice treat.

hotel very clean and staff in all areas helpful and friendly. we made full use o the spa facilities which were excellent ..breakfast spot on .. we visited Southport and wigan . It was a very enjoyable stay and we would go there again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night en route to other places. It was perfectly clean, accommodating and friendly. It was great to have the use of a pool, but would comment that most of it was cordonned of for kids swimming lessons (very strange in a hotel pool) and the small remaining area was also full of screaming children and the poolside caked […] with clamouring mothers; very frustrating as an adult wanting a relaxing swim on a break away. The staff were helpful and courteous although there was a lack of them, not their fault but the hotel's. Overall we had great value for money for overnight accommodation, but cannot comment on the food as we at a restaurant at the Reebok stadium complex. Lees meer

I found the bathroom awful .the toilet seat did not fit the sink had a crack in it and the bath was too narrow .the shower pressure was awful

It was the little things that I found disappointing here - sloppy little things. It sounds a bit poncy, but I'd travelled a long way on business to stay here. I ordered a G&T whilst waiting for my dinner - it came with no ice, no lemon and slimline tonic. I ordered some bread whilst waiting for my main course - it came with a small ramekin type thing, […] not of butter, but of margarine. In my room, there was only one available plug point, so I couldn't plug my phone and my laptop in at the same time. Above the desk there was no light, so it gave me a headache when using my laptop in poor light. Nothing major here - just lots of little niggles. It's these little things - the attention to detail - that make a hotel nice. I thought some of it was just sloppy. I'd also advise against using Horwich Private Hire as a taxi - the driver who picked me up from the station was quite the rudest person I've ever had the misfortune to be stuck in a car with. From arrival to departure the staff were friendly, professional and could not do enough to help us make our party a great success. The buffett was tasty and varied if have a complaint it is with the Bar prices.

Hotel was great and the staff very helpful. Had a little wait in the restaurant on the first night but the staff were very apologetic and the food was great. Only negative was that the showers on the top floor were a bit weak.

Although I did not book a room with the hotel for my daughters wedding, I was still allowed to check in early to get ready. The staff were very helpful and I would recommend the hotel highly.

just stayed one night as I was coming from scotland and the following day , was going to dover; Quiet location, hotel is great, room very clean, service is excellent, very good breakfast and free wifi in the lounge. No complaint at all; Will come back if I am around again.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a base whilst visiting attractions close by. The main area of the hotel is modern and decorated nicely. The room we stayed in was a family room and was on ground floor which was ideal considering we were travelling with an infant. The room was ok but could do with modernising as the bathroom was very dated, there was stains […] on the carpets and the beds weren't the best. It can get busy with weddings as we were there for 2 days and seen 3 weddings and the music was very loud and could here the music in our hotel room, this also leads to the bar area getting very busy and it took my husband over 20 minutes to get served with drinks. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The leisure factilities were ok but again could do with modernising and wasn't catered for younger children in the changing rooms. Lees meer

Booked two nights stay for a family break with four year old twins and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely in fact. The swimming pool was a lovely temperature, with good facilities, breakfast was great. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

This hotel is actually called The Bolton West Hotel. The name Georgian House Hotel is extremely misleading as only a very tiny part of the place is old. Not what we were expecting at all. Overall was clean, brightly furnished with pleasant staff. Tiny 'double' bed which was very squeaky. No window or extractor fan in bathroom.

I don't normally bother to leave reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, especially considering the price. I didn't expect much, as you normally get what you pay for, but the room was clean and extremely spacious, the staff were extremely friendly and courteous, the included breakfast was fantastic and there was a lovely view from the […] rear of the hotel (would recommend requesting a rear facing room if possible). I only stayed for one night, but I will be sure to stay here again next time I visit the area. All in all, an excellent, clean, good value hotel with lovely staff. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable and the food at breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. 2nd floor room which did not have any extractor in the bathroom and hence had a stale smell. Room needed updating as stuck in the 70's. Double bed was hard and a bit tatty but bed linen was very clean. Restaurant was way over the top with their prices for quite ordinary food. Didn't use the leisure facilities so can't comment. Great location for our needs. Close to motorway and rail links, shops and restaurants. Got a great deal from Expedia so was good value. Room clean with nice decor, bathroom a bit tired and in need of a makeover. Will definitley use again.

The public areas are better than the rooms but I suspect that may change. We chose this hotel for the pool which was great for our 6 month old daughter as it was quiet and warm - she loved it. The room was fine, had an odd smell, but was spacious and comfortable. For the price it's good value.

this hotel has internet connection via a modem but does not have wifi available which was no use to me. Friendly staff, clean rooms, handy location
