Hotel XX Settembre in Rome

Het hotel ligt erg centraal. Heel dicht bij Termini (station). Alle sights kun je echter lopend bereiken. De service is fantastisch.Het ontbijt was prima. Ik beveel dit hotel aan.

Ok hotel in de buurt van Termini, staat van het hotel is nogal slecht, veel schimmel bij de ramen. De douche werkt niet helemaal goed duurt ongeveer 10min om warm te worden. Verder zijn het kleine kamers met gratis WiFi dus prima voor een paar dagen. Ik zou het echter niet aanraden voor langere verblijven in Rome of een 'romantische trip'.

Wij, 2 meiden van 23 jaar, zijn voor 4 dagen naar Rome geweest.We hadden het hotel heel haastig geboekt en lazen achteraf slechte referenties.We maakten ons dus redelijk zorgen over de staat en netheid van het hotel...gelukkig viel dit 100% mee!!!het is een ontzettend klein en gezellig hotel!We hadden een mooie, schone kamer met een goed werkende airco […] en koelkast.Elke ochtend werd er schoongemaakt en het ontbijt was prima.De locatie en service vvan het hotel waren heel goed!Ze hielpen ons met alle vragen, we kregen een map van de stad met uitleg en ze regelden voor ons vervoer naar het vliegveld.Ook is er een PC aanwezig met gratis internet.Het is een klein en gezellig hotel dus verwacht geen luxe, maar ik denk dat in het Centrum van Rome bijna niet te vinden is, behalve in de grote luxe onbetaalbare ketens.Nog een tip: boek bij je reis het vervoer naar hotel en terug naar het vliegveld want goedkoper krijg je het daar niet(behalve als je zelf met de trein gaat maar die rijd niet tot laat net als de metro)Wij gaan zeker terug naar Rome en dan ook naar dit hotel! Piepkleine 1 persoonskamer, niet echt een pretje om daar 5 nachten te verblijven. Bovendien lekkende airco, versleten vuilnisbak, badkamerstenen op enkele plaatsen beschadigd. Kamer ligt in de uitgebreide stationsbuurt van Statione Termini, maar de straat heeft iets van een achterbuurt. the hotel is probably better than the others in the area surrounding the Termini station, but it's nothing special at all - rooms are small and poorly maintained, you can hear noise from neighbouring rooms, the wireless internet signal is pretty poor, most of the rooms have a window view at an adjacent building which is like 5 meters away. i have stayed at this hotel briefly before, but it was very nice that the staff remembered me and welcomed me back so warmly, they were so friendly and helpful, particularly with regard to looking for a gallery for me that had a painting i wanted to see, but that was hard to find. this time i was in the building opposite, where the hotel also has some […] rooms, i was very comfortable there, it was a good room with a firm mattress, very clean. the hotel is situated close to termini station but on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, there is a fruit market outside, also some pizzeria, a bakery and a launderette. it is also close to the national museum with the roman frescoes. the breakfast buffet has a variety of cakes, bread, cheese and ham, fruit and yogurt, and also starts at 7.00 am which is good if you are taking an early excursion the next day. ther is also free internet in the lobby which i found very useful for looking up opening times of the museums. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as a family of 3... The hotel is an average Rome hotel very near to the Termini Train Station as well as to the airport shuttle services. You can literally walk within 5 minutes to reach there, even less if you need to take the metro from Piazza della Republlica. The reception and breakfast staff are friendly and helpful. They were polite and caring which matters to us a lot... However our room was far from clean and not well maintained at all. The carpet had some marks and looked filthy. The room was not well maintained; it had a strange smell which was coming from the bathroom – we had to keep the bathroom window open for some fresh air. Clean, basic but smart hotel room, pretty much in keeping with when we'd usually find in continental cities. The hotel was nice, nicer when compared to other 3 star hotels in the area. The room was bigger. The location is about 15 mins walk to the station, which is acceptable. THe neighborhood was good, but if you want to take a quiet walk at 2am in the night, I would suggest you go towards the Republic Square, not towards the Termini station, as there are […] couple of bars along the way and can be a bit noisy. The hotel is close to the Republic Square. Free wifi was very fast. You can also browse for free from the computer located in the lobby. The breakfast was ok. The staff was nice and helpful. The only down side could be that they still use the actual keys instead of the key cards, but you can leave your key at the reception and won't have to carry along. In conclusion, this is a nice little hotel if you are looking at the Termini area. Some people prefer to take a subway ride from termini and book hotels in other parts of Rome, say near the Spanish Steps (Spagna) or Trevi Fountain, which is good, but if you want to be at the walking distance from Termini, I guess this hotel is pretty good. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and reliable - when they said they would do something for us, they did. And reception was manned 24 hours - useful for late arrivals and early morning calls. The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable though the carpet was a little jaded. The bathroom was clean and the room was efficiently serviced each day. Air conditioning worked well. There was Wifi in the room and access to a free computer in the lobby. It was near enough to walk from the station (10 min). Excellent value for money. Overall our stay at this hotel was pleasent. However upon arrival we were told it was too early to check in, but that we could leave our bags with the Concierge and they would place them in our room once it was ready. Seeing as the lobby was full of bags and suitcases we figured this would be fine. Upon returning to the hotel in the evening we walked […] passed a man carrying one of our bags, we turned to stop him and he ran for it...We were lucky enough that he dropped the bag as we chased him and we were able to get all of our belongings back. We then headed for the hotel to makes sure everything else was there, we found the hotel open and no one at the front desk, we ran the bell and about 5 minutes later the concierge walked in from outside. We complained and he didn't seem to care overly about what had happened, because we still had our belongings and therefore didn't see the issue. The hotel is near the station and not to far away from everywhere else - although you can walk to almost everything in Rome. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We stayed in the side building and the lift was tiny and not that reliable.

We stayed in a triple room in the annexure across the street on the 4th floor that had a great view on the immediate. It is in a quiet safe area in Rome and short distance from the Termini and a Met station. Laundry services around the corner and a few good restaurants as well as small cheaper eateries. The hotel is ideally located near the main station as well as a metro and a bus line. Although it is not a big hotel and thus it is rather difficult to find at first, it's got a good list of amenity (complimentary wireless in rooms, breakfast, ...) and was nice for a family of two adults and two kids. Of course don't expect a luxury of 4 or 5 star hotel […] or that of a big chain hotel; nevertheless, it indeed provides what all 3-star hotels should provide. The people and service were friendly and good but the room was small cramped and very hot. The carpets were stained and the bed uncomfortable. I stayed downtown Florence for cheaper and the room was much nicer. The tv and ac did not work....it was not an enjoyable stay.

This hotel is in perfect location as when we got of the plane we took a shuttle to the termini station and found it quite easily. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The television had bbc news so we were able to watch english speaking tv. The neighborhood had a few restaurants and at no time did we ever feel unsafe.
