My wife and I were in Rome for 2 nights. This hotel was a very pleasant, clean hotel. The rooms are modest, but excellent for the price. The front desk clerks were very friendly and eager to please. We received some excellent restaurant recommendations from them. The breakfast is included and was very nice. The location is several blocks away from the […] fancier part of town but we felt safe at all times. We could easily walk to many of the major attractions (far from the Vatican though, which is on the other side of the Tiber). The ancient Diocletion Baths are literally right next door, as is Santa Maria degli Angeli church which was designed by Michaelangelo. For the price, this was an outstanding hotel. Lees meer

I had an afternoon and evening in Rome traveling from Umbria--my stay at this hotel convinced me that I was not wise to limit myself! It''s close to a few great sights but the need to travel over the city for others would have been impossible in my short stay. The rooms are perfect, set up with attention to details of the traveler's comfort. The worst […] thing--not close to any great restaurants for evening meals. hotel and staff were great. They recommended great restaurants each night we were there. Easy access to the train station, however, walking home late at night near the train station each night was a little sketchy! Three person room was a bit of a squeeze but didn't spend much time there. Also easy access to the tour buses!

I would say the hotel is located in a good place very close to all the transportation hub. Walk able distance to some of the important tourist places. The room was very clean and they even provided free minibar and wifi inside the room. I would say if i want to visit rome again i will stay in same place..

Front desk could not be better! Knowledgable, personable, perfect English and even took the time to sit with me at the computer to book my train to Florence. Excellent breakfast. Nice room and bath. Free drinks from room fridge (water and soda) daily! Free internet. Hotel was only 400 meters from the train and bus terminal, including the two subway […] train lines that run in Rome. Set on a street full of hotels with large signs it was hard to find the Diocleziano as there was not a big sign.The outside of this hotel is not attractive, but fortunately the inside is much better. I arrived around 5:00 PM and had to wait 20 minutes to register. Pleasant and helpful desk clerks. Great services, great rooms, great location!

This place was more than we expected. The staff was so accomodating and polite...we couldn't have ask for more! They spoke excellent English, their complimentary breakfast was superb and the location was central to everything we wanted to see. This hotel is located at the end of the Termini Station in Rome-the central station for all buses and metro stops. That makes it convenient taking the metro/bus, but it also makes it quite a ways away from any of the major sites (most sites), so you won't be walking to any. Excellent hotel, close to Termini station and metro, quiet area, recommended.

My husband & I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights while in Rome and were extremely pleased with your hotel. Great room, delicious breakfast, close to metro and restaurants. We had wonderful service from the reception manager, Giordano. He was so professional and helpful with reserving a car for the airport, recommending restaurants and giving directions […] and helpful information. He definitely is an asset to your hotel. It was a great find for us. We found the location very convenient close to Termini. The hotel was clean, quiet an the staff extremely helpful. Would stay there again.

Modern, clean, friendly hotel in the heart of Rome, 5 minutes walk from the central station, but in a quiet side street. Our room was great - clean, spacious and well appointed - sitting on the top floor with balcony and view to the ancient Roman baths. Location was great as it is a 5 min walk to Termini Station and 5 min walk to Repubblica metro - very convenient. Staff were exceptionally friendly, breakfast was ok, not a huge selection, but fresh and nice. Free wifi in room with good connection. The room itself was more of a 3 star but overall happy with the stay.

About as authentic as pizza hut.

Excellent service, outstanding in this respect. Main drawback is location for touring central area, though it is very convenient for the train station.

The location was perfect, right next to the train station. The staff was incredible, every need was taken care of. When we first checked in, I was a little wary of what they offered. They gave us free internet, a room upgrade and free mini-bar. Everything they told us was absolutely true. The breakfast was great. We couldn't have asked for a better […] stay. Great small hotel. 200m to main "Terminus" train and metro station so easy for public transport but the metro doesn't go very close to many of the places you will want to go so you will still be walking quite a way (but I think that is to be expected in Rome - it's the best way to see things). Very convenient, very courteous staff, excellent breakfast. Very good value.

This hotel was simply picked from Hotel.com thru review and the location. The location is Perfect - directly opposite the train station and bus/metro terminal. The hotel is centrally located and all sights could be reached by metro or bus. The room is reasonably sized perfect for a couple, I saw some family should be ok for them too. Service staff are […] polite and helpful. They informed us about daylight saving on 27th march hence advised us to adjust ahead by 1 hour. Luckily for us as we were catching a train to Florence and at the station we saw many tourists have missed their earlier train as they were niot informed. Lees meer

The Hotel typical of Italian City Centre privately owned hotels. The staff are friendly and attentive, the service is good and the complimentary soft drinks are a nice touch. The breakfast is suprisingly good and the waitresses are very friendly and amenable. I stayed in a Superior room which was clean, nice bathroom but not overly generous on space, […] but ample wardrobe space though. For the rpice and location this is a very good choice. We had never been to Rome before and didn't know what to expect and where to stay. We stayed at this hotel based upon the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful and the breakfasts WAY above average for Europe. The location is right by Termini and convenient for trains and subway. We highly recommend it.

The hotel is well situated and within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to see. The hotel was very friendly and had lovely rooms. Breakfast was adequate, if not a lot of choice. For a combination of work (me) and holiday (my husband), the hotel was in an exellent location - near the Termini railway station but yet in a quiet corner on a side street. The staff was friendly and as we were there in December, it was nice that the heating system worked. The room was a bit small but very convenient. As our original flight to Rome […] was cancelled, the reservation was still valid even though we were able to arrive 24 hours late. The room itself was small with a very hard bed, but that’s pretty standard. The hotel was right at the heart of Rome and literally right across the street from the train station. It’s a bit “behind” the main road so it didn’t have a lot of the noise in the room. The hotel staff is what really made the difference for this one. We arrived early since […] our flight got in at 8 am. The room wasn’t ready for us but by the time we got back from trying to get food it was. They were very helpful and went out of their way to try and help us with a couple of traveling issues we were having. We might not have made it through the entire trip without them! Great hotel, and great staff working in the hotel: very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very-very good also. The room was little small by american standarts, but very clean with new appliances, with no any unpleasant smell. I would definitly stay there again. This hotel is a two minute walk from the Termini train station. The service is outstanding! You will not find a better hotel for the money.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely helpful, courteous and professional. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable with central air. The minibar is complimentary along with the Wi-fi and the use of the business center. The hotel is centrally located 3 blocks from Termini in a quiet and safe […] dead end street in the heart of Rome, close to all the major sights by walking or metro. They also offer a Mercedes car service to the airport for 48 Euros (taxi costs 40 Euros plus 7 Euros before 7 AM) and can pack your breakfast to go if you're leaving early. A very nice, clean hotel situated just across the square from the Termini station and metro stops. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even went out for a pizza for us on the only wet (very wet) night of our stay. A good buffet breakfast and free soft drink mini-bar too. All major sights were within walking distance. The Colloseum was about 20 […] mins stroll away though The Vatican & St Peters was a bit of a slog in the heat -as the metro wasn't running - but the bonus was that the crowds stayed away. Via Nazionale was just around the corner providing plenty of choice for food at reasonable prices (for Rome at least !) We would definitely stay at the hotel again and use Hotel.com for accomodation reservations in the future. Lees meer

Hotel Diocleziano is very close to the train station and attractions in Rome. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory. Would recommend it to friends and family.

Outstanding helpful service, free internet, nice location near the train station. We could easily walk the 1 1/2 blocks from our train to the hotel, and enjoyed the cultural and cost saving use of the metro. Our triple room (3 beds) was rather cramped with a view of the walls of other building. Yet we were happy to each have our own beds.

convenient for travel in/out of Termini; good breakfast

I stayed with an elderly cousin (80) who had never been to Rome. The hotel is about 1 1/2 blocks from Termini Station. The location was terrific for accessing transportation options (hop on hop off tour buses, Rome subway and local buses). This is good when traveling with folks who cannot walk great distances. The breakfast was included and was very […] good and plentiful. The room was updated and very clean with modern bathrooms. Internet access was good and free. The hotel staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations etc. A slight negative is that traffic noise can be heard at night as our room faced the front of the hotel. and we had the window open All in all this hotel was a great value, terrific location and I would try a room facing the back of the hotel next time. The room was snug (we were grateful the hotel could accomodate us 3 to a room). It was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Location very handy-you can walk to the train staion with luggage on wheels and catch the train to the airport very easily. I would do that again if I come back to Rome.
