Prima hotel, goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Als we terug gaan naar Leeds zouden we zeker weer dit hotel boeken.

This guest house rates as one of the top 3 ever experienced in England, (not only York) .... the level of comfort, service, friendliness, care and attention to detail was exceptionally high quality ... like staying with a well-to-do friend. It was also exceptionally good value. We shall definitely try to go there next time we visit York.
Ligging.
De Vere Oulton Hall ligt in de buurt van Temple Newsam House. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Natuurreservaat Townclose Hills en Koninklijke artillerie.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
De Vere Oulton Hall heeft een healthclub, een binnenzwembad en een spabad. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes en secretariële diensten. Dit hotel met een spa heeft een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek zakelijke diensten en een geldwisseldienst regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een fitnesscentrum, een sauna en een conciërgebalie. Gasten kunnen gratis parkeren. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

"A PLEASANT OVERNIGHT STOP WITH STYLE"

I frequently stay in hotels with my job, however this is the first time I have stayed at the De Vere Oulton Hall...what can I say! The staff were very friendly, the rooms very large with a large flatscreen television. The grounds were beautiful and the leisure facilities very good. "De Vere, Oulton Hall"
Unfortunately we booked a room at this hotel during one of their very busy periods. We arrived after a very long journey and found we were unable to eat in either the main restaurant (fully booked), or the Champagne Bar (advised to go there by the receptionist) but it had closed to serving of food. We (and others) had to trek round the outside of a […] badly lit hotel and find our way into the Claret Jug bar (also poorly lit and signed). The food was acceptable. The breakfast was buffet style in an enormous dining room - breakfast also acceptable, not great, as hot food had been sitting in warmed containers. room was a bit tired and old - paint coming off the ceiling wifi was excellent
Extremely good value at the price we paid. What impressed us, though, was the attitude of the staff whi, in several small ways, went out of their way to be helpful. Buffet breakfast was also pleasantly lavish. We will come back.

a very peaceful place to stay. The rooms were a little outdated, but the hotel itself was very grand with fantastic interior. The pool and jacuzzi was modern and all inc free of charge. The meal we had inc in our price was also top drawer. My only negative would be the prices charged - £20 cheapest bottle of red wine, £4 for a bottle of beer. a beautiful hotel in fantastic setting. the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. our room was lovely, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, apart from the number of wasps around the bar terrace area. the only disappointment was the price of drinks, very high. We were delighted with the hotel and its settings. In general the staff were very helpful and attentive. The only down side was a mix up with our lunch order in the Claret Jug, something other diners also experienced. The gym was small but adequate and the pool, sauna and steam room relaxing.
