"Clean & Quiet!"
Our hotel room was very clean and nice and quiet! The bed was really comfortable and the furniture, though outdated, was in good condition and there was a new TV. We enjoyed our stay for the money, and will stay there again the next time we decide to travel to Ely. It is a hike to the Ely Steak House, so we drove.

The beds at this place are amazing, so comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. It is in a great location in Ely, in the heart of the action. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

The Motel Ely is a rustic little motel (think late 50s-early 60s) on Sheridan Street, the main street going through the small town of Ely. It is reasonably priced (I was there during the summer tourism season), close to shopping, good restaurants and access to a variety of outdoor activities, and spotlessly clean. Some of the features are dated, but […] everything worked. The proprietors, Roger and Debbie, maintain the motel well, and are really friendly, pleasant people besides. One caution - the parking lot is rather small, so some with larger vehicles may prefer to park on the street. It's hard to maneuver when the lot is full.' "Budget Host Ely Minnesota"
If you are coming or going on a canoe trip, this hotel is a bit better than the woods. The wi fi was OK and the AC worked, the bed clean and soft.
