Park Inn by Radisson York Hotel in York

The hotel staff on Reception were friendly and helpfull, suggesting we wait to check in, in order to get a re-furbished room. Hotel is very clean and accessible. Breakfast was comprehensive; staff friendly and helpfull. Good gym for size of hotel. Only 'down side' to stay - our room was on the river with balcony which was lovely, but noisy at night […] from bars and clubs across the water. Take ear plugs! The hotel does exactly what it needs to do as it provides a gateway to the city of York. It is a 5 minute walk to the city centre and less than 20 minutes from most sights. Shower wasn't very strong, but apart from that, clean room, good bed....

We found the reception staff welcoming and were extremely helpful, when checking in/out. The room was on the smallish side, but was clean. The en-suite was very clean indeed. The views rom the eighth across the River Ouse and City Centre were fantastic. The choice at breakfast was fine.

I booked into this hotel for 3 days of business in the York area. From the outset this hotel caused problems - parking was £12 a day, the car park was generally full to capacity meaning I had to park outside of a bay and risk getting a scratched vehicle. The lift to your floor will take forever to arrive (read:5-10minutes). The reception didn't take […] a credit card from me for room charges, so after ordering dinner, the waiter expected cash! I then had to walk to reception before eating to pay for my meal by credit card. The room I was in can only be described as a cupboard, I couldn't even get my suitcase to the bed to unpack. The shower was about 12" square, the TV didn't work properly...the list goes on. I came away from the business trip early as I couldn't bare to stay another night in this insipid cesspit of a hotel. Anyone wishing to stay in the centre of York would be far better off staying elsewhere, this hotel is trading on its name and doesn't live up to standard. Lees meer

got to hotel room was rotton asked to be moved , so we spent our two night stay at novatel very very good .....

Rooms were clean and modern ,but very small .....I was travelling alone and stayed in during the evening as I felt the surrounding area was a little unsafe to walk back to the hotel from the city centre.... I also was a bit shocked at the price of the WIFI charges in Hotel ,were other hotels I had stayed at during my visit to the UK were free!!!

Good location near to city centre. Booked 2 double rooms one had a lovely view over the river the other into a dingey courtyard. Rooms comfortable and very clean Breakfasts were a chaotic mess with big queues little choice and dirty tables- we complained to a senior manager who was very apologetic and cancelled the charges

Great location in city. Bedroom and bathroom smart and clean. Canteen breakfast sufficient and plenty. Staff very helpful and polite. Dissappointing to pay extra for car parking and car parking very limited. Room internet extra cost, dissappointing since often abroad this is a free service. Room maintenance could have been better, I do object to finding faults that should have been rectified before occupation. Comfortable room, convenient location. Very small pillow and duvet, but I'm not a duvet person. Overall good value for money

NICE HOTEL OVERLOOKING THE RIVER, COMFORTABLE ROOMS AND PRETTY CENTRAL. ONLY STAYED OVERNIGHT AFTER A GIG AT THE DUTCHESS AND DIDNT HAVE BREAKFAST BUT SUITED US TO A TEE. Our only problems were a failureof the hot water supply, which was fixed after our first night, and the food at breakfast which was not sufficiently hot.

We Were having an aniversary weekend away and the hotel staff placed delivered flowers in our room before we arrived, and was upgraded without mentioning anything to my wife. The location is ideal for visiting the city. The breakfast was excellent, and being a buffet service was able to have exactly what you wanted. Staff were all pleasant and helpful, […] from ringing to arrange the flowers to letting us leave the car in their carpark for a few hours the day we left. Hotel ample for my needs and wasnt going to be in the room very much. Wanted a twin room for a friend and I, within easy walking distance of the town, which we got. Bed was comfortable, curtains good as they did black-out the light, towels nice and big compared to many other hotels. Toiletires basic in bathroom and we didnt try the restaurant or bar […] so cannot comment on this. Hotel split into 2 sections which was a big confusing, and the one set of lifts needed upgrading. This hotel is situated close to all the amenities in York. The room was clean and tidy. Would use again the next time I visited York.

The room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be the actual decoration of the room. The walls looked like somebody had been scuffing their shoes all the way up to the ceiling and there looked to be felt tip pen marks. It just brought the quality of the room down a little. There was also some weird padding stuff over the carpet by the lifts - it wasn't very attractive to look at and I wasn't sure whether it would be safe to walk over in the case of having to use the emergency exits. There was nothing up to say whether this was a hazardous area - Not great if you have children with you or need to use the fire exit. I cannot comment on the food in the hotel as I didn't really bother to dine there. It was cheaper to eat out. However, coffee and tea are supplied which was a nice welcome treat after a long morning of travelling. Wireless internet is available at a surcharge which was incredibly helpful. Double room had a six inch gap down the right hand side of the bed. Dust on walls. Noise of Air Conditioning units outside and lift motors to contend with, expensive bar and couldn't even get the bread right or tell us they'd run out on our sandwhiches.

Beautiful hotel and great service. We had a room looking at the river and the city. It was a very easy walk to all the sites and had a parking garage.

Hotel room was very nice, no complaints with it. But the hotel itself was not so nice. We stayed from fri night until sun night. There was a constant smell in the hotel all the time we were there. My husband and myself came to york with my sister and her husband for a family wedding. We stayed in the Park Inn for its location. Ideal for its closeness to everywhere. Lovely places to eat and shop on your doorstep. My only problem was that we got hardly any sleep on both nights we stayed. THE BEDS ARE AWFUL. When we lay in the bed we both rolled […] into the middle. My sister and her husband had the same problem. We had a fabulous riverside view, but at night we heard EVERYONE passing by after the pubs closed, coupled with the horrible beds we had two very uncomfortable nights. We wouldnt stay here again simply because of their beds and the closeness to night clubs. The hotel itself was fine, clean, just ok. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay centrally in York, The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river and Minster.

Very conveniently placed on riverbank, near station, Minster, start of open top bus tours and pedestrianised shopping areas. Only a few minutes' walk to all attractions and restaurants. Tilgængeligheden til værelserne i naboejndomme er ikke hensigstmæssig, det virker skørt at skulle tage elevator en etage, så vandre ad lange gange for så st skulle tage elevator fx 1 etage for at komme til værelset, det må være muligt at anvende trapper og lave en anden gennemgang.

Jeg har nå bodd på Park Inn flere ganger, og alt man ønsker å se i York er i gang avstand fra hotellet. I tillegg er rommene pene og betjeningen veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende. Anbefales!

Dejligt, roligt hotel i gå-aftand til alle seværdigheder, shopping, restauranter mv. Venligt, hjælpsomt og imødekommende personale. Pænt og rent.

Sentralitet var det beste!
