De eerste nacht perfecte propere kamer ( niet te groot 2 dubbel bedden ) met nieuwe badkamer .2 de nacht kamer perfect met vrij oude badkamer die alles deed wat ze moest doen. Lastig 2 verdiepen trappen tot receptie .

Newer beds that have body depressions permanently In them. Like sleeping in a trampoline with a group. Everyone wakes up in the middle together.

I've been to the LA area for work several times and this probably the best hotel and location I've spent time at so far. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and everything was really clean. The room was a bit on the small size but sometimes that's ok especially if you want to control the room temp...btw, the air conditioner worked really well […] and wasn't overly loud. Downsides to this location are very minor... it's a bit of a climb up the stairs to the hotel (first floor is a grill and bar). My room did not have a view and the building next door was 4 feet out the window, I didn't mind this since it blocked the morning sunlight and night street glare from coming directly into the room. This hotel offers a lot of eating and shopping options since it is within an easy walk of both the Galleria and Americana shopping malls. There is no breakfast onsite but ask about Portos and Billy's as both have awesome food offererings and a very affordable price. This hotel and Glendale are my new favorite LA spot for a business stay. Lees meer

An older hotel, access to check in was sketchy. Had to park in the garage behind the hotel which was not intuitive. Fortunately called the hotel and they mentioned this. Then had to walk around the to front after parking in a garage. AC unit did not have a constant fan which kept waking me up all night when the AC unit would come on... The location can't be beat. It is right in the middle of downtown and close to many tourist areas as well as all kinds of shopping and dining experiences. The front desk clerk was helpful and friendly. There is free parking close by. The room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable, and it was quiet.The only caution I might add is that there are a […] fair number of steps that one must negotiate from the street level to the hotel lobby. All and All, it was OK. The hotel staff was quite pleasant and the room, while small, was clean and offered a quiet night's rest with a good shower in the morning. The Sat TV was out 2 of 3 nights and the hotel offered nothing but "sorry". Even my suggestion to comp the 1 bottle of water for "no TV" met with disapproval. There was a slight "old hotel" […] smell that got better with an open window (luckily, the temperature was right for this). Very bad experience.... They have no Concierge, you have to go up 2 flight of stairs with your luggage to get to the Reception area and check in. This is a great find and good value, however, it is TWO very long sets of stairs to reach the lobby, hotel starts on 2nd floor. There is no elevator so for older people it is a bit of a challenge with their luggage as was the case with me ...But the staff was great and carried it up for me. location is great. safe and convenient. but the room is small and the shower is weak. There is no elevator and it is very high even go to the lobby. no body will help you with the luggage. I won't stay next time if I have other choices.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Brandwood not 100% down to the hotel as it was our first stop of our american road trip but it was perfect for what we required. the bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed, it was a good location for us as we had a car and had planned trips around LA so was a great base which was better value than hotels […] located in other areas of LA, the area was also nice, the Americana at the Brand is a short walk away and full of nice restaraunts, bars and shops. parking was another bonus and is free, a big thumbs up from us Lees meer

We would have passed this hotel up if it were not for a recommendation from hotels.com. Very clean and great customer service. Does not have all the amenities of larger hotels but plenty of restaurants nearby. Great place to palm day trips from.

My second stay at this hidden hotel in Glendale, Ca. First impression as you walk in is always WOW!!! Very Clean, Excellent Service. Center of Glendale, close to everything. 1 thing to mention is there are no elevators.

I have prosthetic knees. The only access to the hotal is via stairs (many steps!). It was almost impossible for me the get to even the front desk, much less my room. I will not stay there again.

We loved it. Great location, great restaurant /Jazz club right next doo, great neighborhood bakery. Nice area to walk around. Would definitely go back .Hotel was beautifully decorated. The only drawback were the stairs, but, we managed to drag that big suitcase up two flights!

only 2 things i did not like about this place. first is that there is nowhere to park in front of hotel to drop off luggage. there is only street parking but at check in time there is no spots available. So, I had to drive around to the back into the parking garage and park on the second floor. Then I had to carry my luggage down the stairs, walk around […] the block to the front of hotel to check in. Secondly the hotel is on second floor so you have to go up stairs to check. The bell hop carried our luggage to our rooms but there was no elevator so walking up to the 3rd floor after a 6 hour drive was annoying. I chose the hotel for it's proximity to the state board testing facility. My daughter needed to be there at 6am the following morning. First problem; no place to park and we had to hike up an ally just to get checked in. We were able to get a little closer later but still had to sherpa our luggage down then up 2 flights of stairs. Second problem; door […] was warped and deadbolt did not latch, the desk clerk assured me we were quite safe anyway. Third problem; some sort of nightclub directly over our room with a live band playing loud oldies rock&roll until around midnight. Our reason for getting there a day ahead was so my daughter could be rested for her liscencing exam, so much for that! I'm just happy I will never have another reason to stay there. Lees meer

If you don't mind walking a flight of stairs to get to your room, then you'll be fine here. Quaint, clean, boutique hotel close to the main drag of Glendale and includes parking. Although, you have to check-in first before they give you a parking pass to park behind the hotel in the BofA parking lot. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, bathroom […] had what you needed. If you're looking for a luxurious room with all the amenities, DO NOT stay here. If you've been to Europe and know what it's like to have a small flat close to everything, then this is great. I've stayed here several times before. Rooms are very well kept and nice. Hotel is in a good location. Only a 10 minute walk to the Americana shops. Service was excellent.

This hotel has character and an excellent location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that on checking in I was asked to give a $200 deposit on my debit card. However, I protested that that was too high, nad the manager agreed to make it $100. Other than that, I really liked the place.

Renovations are in process in several rooms, which creates a small mess and some noise. The walls are thin and when your neighbor showers, you can hardly hear yourself think. Parking is around the block and you enter the hotel from the alley behind, but the neighborhood is very nice, with many shops and eateries. The galleria is only a couple of blocks […] away, well within walking distance. The staff were as friendly as any hotel I have been to in years, with great big smiles and cheerful greetings. First of all the location was great but i hope they put a more bigger sign so they can get a good advertisement. They also provide a free parking. The room is not that spacious but it was enough to accommodate all your needs, its not a big deal but putting an extra trash can in the room will be a big help rather than having only one in the restroom. […] I also hope they offer more variety of cable channels. Hotel is old but quaint. Rooms are very clean and cozy! One gripe is the noise we experienced from our room...and the fire alarm that needed battery replacement. Other than that...very convenient and comfy....

asked for a quiet room and got put right under the fan on the roof that runs 24 hours a day. very annoying. had to wear earpugs to soften but not totally quiet the noise. so sad.

Overall, terrific. Glendale is a jewel in LA County, especially the Brand Blvd. strip. The Hotel Brandwood is nestled in the center of the local Glendale activity. Close to the Galleria (a stupendous, new outdoor shopping mall. There's Jax Restaurant and Bar next door, Porto's bakery and deli just 1/2 block away, Chinese, Thai, Middle Eastern and Japanese […] restaurants just a stone throw away from the Brandwood's front door (you'll have to look closely to find it or you'll miss it--there is no big entrance or grand hotel lobby at this place, just two planters opposite a small door with an inobtrusive awing on top), and if you like to 'slum it' like my wife and I do--there's the local Subway's just 2-1/2 blocks away. There were the stairs to contend with on a daily basis (note: we were on the 2nd level--the third floor technically--and there is no elevator at this hotel), but once we got past all of that, everything worked well. There was even a mini-fridge in the room that isn't advertised in the list of amenities when we booked our room online. The rooms are small but outs was immaculate, with very comfortable bed and fluffy towels. The price was right, too. A nice, clean and comfortable place to stay if you're not into the "Hollywood" scene and need a glittery place with huge lobbies, grand ballrooms, workout room & pool. Lees meer

the location was perfect, it is around several restaurants and a couple blocks from the mall. the room was a little small and tight when luggage was out. the room had an odor. as soon as you walk into the room you would burn off the first set of nose hairs. the staff was friendly.

The Hotel is updated. Very comfortable bed and linens. The terrific staff really made our stay more enjoyable. One thing to note, their is a staircase, two levels and no elevator. Not a problem unless you have bad knees. Also, the location is perfect, close to everything.

this was my second time staying at brandwood and i have to say the first time was better i was on the first floor which doesn't mean much really with those seep stairs but this time i guess it made a difference i was on the second floor and the A.C would not stay on or keep cool even though i had it on auto it would kick in when i would get really hot […] in there and i was very very loud and didnt let me sleep i like the hotel 'cus it was down the street from my business for that day but was very tired the next day due to lack of sleep. "Quaint" pretty well describes it. Old 40-room hotel. No food; no elevator, and 34 steps from street to lobby! But it's clean with a helpful staff. Although it's right on the main street, our room was quiet -- not even sounds from the adjacent restaurant and bar.

We have a great time in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. If you like to stroll and relax in Glendale or shop at The Americana, Glendale Galleria mall, watch movies, eat at the best restaurants and bars..I highly recommend that you stay in this hotel.

Parking and getting in and out of the hotel were a hassle. The staircases leading up to the hotel rooms were very steep and narrow, making it very difficult to bring your luggage up and there aren't any elevators. Although the room was small, it was very clean and had a super comfortable bed. But we were on the first floor of the hotel, which is above […] a bar and restaurant and it was super noisy, and you can hear everything that the people above you are doing. The front desk didn't have any ear plugs, and there wasn't a convenience store near by. So make sure you bring ear plugs and a light bag to drag up the stairs and you will love this place! There is also a GREAT bakery about half a block away, Porto's, get there early and grab some of their pasteries for breakfast. Lees meer
