Allemaal vriendelijk personeel. Rustige omgeving. Op loopafstand trein en de bezienswaardigheden. Voldoende ontbijt. Een aanrader!

Uitermate correcte prijs/kwaliteitverhouding; op loopafstand van vele bezienswaardigheden; sanitair, tv, bed, airco, ontbijt alles tip top in orde. Door ligging van kamers aan een (mooie) binnenplaats geen overmatige herrie. Aanbevelenswaardig.

Heel fijn hotel voor een goede prijs. Het hotel zit dicht in de buurt van alle bezienswaardigheden, zeer goed lopend te bereiken. Ontbijt was goed, niet superuitgebreid, maar goed. De ontbijtverzorger was heel vriendelijk en netjes. Minpunt was dat de douche niet goed doorliep, maar na melding is dat dezelfde dag nog verholpen. Kortom een aanrader!

A lovely hotel with surprisingly large rooms and friendly staff. A short walk from much of ancient Rome, and near the metro to get to other areas. There are plenty of restaurants a short stroll away in Testaccio or Travestere. Only complaint is there was no fruit available at breakfast.

I stayed in this Hotel with my family for five nights Dec/Jan 2012. We were very happy with our choice. All the staff were very friendly and spoke English. The room was a good size and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory and typical of what you get in Europe. This hotel is convieniently located near major tourist attractions and […] an easy walk to others, it is also very close to the Metro with some great little restaurants close by, there is also a laundry on the street down to the Metro. The staff answered all of our questions and booked us a taxi for our return to the airport. Over all we had a great stay and would definitely return. Lees meer

I didn't have much expectations when I booked the hotel, but it turned out to be great for the price. Loved the surroundings and the quietness, it was a pretty short walk to bus stops, subway and Palatinus hill, Forum Romanum and Colosseum. Breakfast was ok and the waiter was a true joy sinc he smiled the whole time he was working. The other staff […] was very friendly as well. The only minus must be the fact that there isn't an elevator, but what can you excpect from a smallish old hotel? The room was quite small, but I assume it was the smallest one availble but we didn't really mind. It was cozy! All in all, I would definately stay here again. Lees meer

Me and my wife spent five nights this November at the Hotel Domus Aventina as our honeymoon. We booked a superior double room. We generally enjoyed our stay, which was for mainly one reason - the balcony. The room has a charming balcony set to a courtyard with orange trees and the like, and there was nothing we enjoyed more than sipping wine and eating […] cheese while sitting there. Keep in mind that only 5-6 rooms have it. Other than that it is also worth mentioning that the hotel staff was nice, extremely helpful, and spoke good English. Except for those two points - we were not that happy. The room was extremely small, with hardly any space outside the bed and a small desk. It was hard to even open our luggage. The room had no kitchenette or even tea making facilities. Worse of all was the shower and bathroom, the shower was constantly clogged, and the bathroom would not flush well, the shower was also pretty tiny (no shared showers...). Breakfast was also pretty disappointing, but I understand that's the standard in Rome. Last point worth mentioning is location. We actually liked being in Aventino neighborhood, as it was quiet and close to Testaccio neighborhood which houses an amazing market and some great authentic restaurants. The hotel is near a school, so it's pretty noisy during the day, but quiet at night. It's not near any of the attractions or the historic city center, it took us about half an hour to the Trevi fountain area, and 45 minutes to Vatican. Lees meer

We spent a nice weekend holiday in Hotel Domus Aventina and we can recommend the hotel to everyone who respect peaceful environment and nice service. Breakfast was good and served with warm smile, thanks for that!

The hotel is very nice, within 15min walk from the ruins and the Colosseum. Very quiet and nice neighborhood. Top class hotel, clean, good breakfast. We got a special deal because we stayed for 4 nights.

The hotel is good but only within walking distance to the Colosseum (15 mins.) Breakfast is great. I would only recommend this hotel to those to wish to stay in a very quite and secluded area. Next time I would like to stay near the Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain if only to be closer to a fun place in the evening.

This hotel is very nice. The neighborhood is cute and there are a few good restaurants close by, however I did feel it was a little far from other things. We went in August (which I don't suggest doing bc it is so hot that time of year) and the big sites were quite far. The closest subway station was a ten minute walk which isn't bad if it is not 95 […] degrees with high humidity. My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Domus Aventina, Rome, Italy from 27 April - 1 May 2011. The location of the hotel was great. It is an easy walk to the Metro (Circus Massimo). It was on a quiet street, our room (#30) overlooked a courtyard full of beautiful vegetation. The room was large enough, with a couch, desk and balcony. The bed was two twin […] mattresses put together, but comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The price is expensive, as with every hotel near the centre of Rome. It wasn’t the greatest or the worst. It fit our needs, but we may look at renting an apartment the next time we visit. Lees meer

This hotel was in the great Aventine Hill region of Rome. It was only a couple blocks to the metro station, and walking distance to the Colloseum. Also, there are a whole bunch of excellent restaurants just down the street from the hotel. The only negative was that there was no elevator.

Excellent Hotel!! Everything was perfect!! I highly recommend this hotel. Nice staff and excellent service. Room was big and comfortable. Only a few mins walking from circo massimo metro station and a short walking from Colosseum. Nice quiet area. Breakfast was very good too.

The hotel is located in a very good and quite location, farely near to the metro station and you can find a supermarket and some restaurants in walking distance. As far as the room is concerned, do not expect too much, just a bed to sleep and a bathroom to get washed. Bathrooms look a bit old and need maintenance, did not like the carpet flooring and […] fabric covering all walls of the room as they looked old and dirty. NO ELEVATOR! and we were in the 3rd floor!!! Cleaning services went inside the room despite the fact that the "do not disturbe" sign was at the door. Breakfast is poor. This was a wonderful, affordable place with exceptionally nice staff. We had cappuccinos made for us every morning. The breakfast was simple, but good. The hotel room looked out onto a beautiful courtyard. You can't beat the location of this place. A quiet and safe neighborhood right next to the Colosseum and other great sites. I was entirely pleased with the hotel arrangements, except for one point. I left one day earlier than originally planned, and was unable to obtain a refund for that day.

This hotel is within a <5 minute walk to a subway terminal which will take you anywhere in the city, and within a 10 minute walk of the Colosseum. On the way to the Colosseum, you'll pass by Circus Maximus, Palatine Hill, and the Forum. It's in a quiet neighborhood just 2 blocks from Viale Aventino, a main artery through Rome. Rooms are clean & comfortable […] with good amenities. Only complaint is that the hotel's WiFi was painfully slow. So much so that at times it was simply unusable. I needed internet so this was a problem. Otherwise, the experience was fantastic and I would stay there again. Lees meer

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was good. Wireless internet available in the rooms, but slow. Location of the hotel is not great. It is in between 2 metro stops so it is a bit of a walk and quite a walk to city center, although it can be done. No grocery store near by, closest was the train station (2.5km away). Room was very nice and glad it had AC. Our […] room had an ant problem, but was not a big deal. Walls between rooms were thin. When we notified the staff they were very apologetic. We found our stay enjoyable, and the room and hotel comfortable. The front desk was very helpful, and the kitchen attendant very friendly. Breakfast was good. The neighborhood was pleasant and safe, with several restaurants, pharmacy, etc., within walking distance, as were the Circus Maximus, Colosseum and Forum. Two negatives: 1) inability to get onto […] the Wi-Fi--we tried for days and the front desk could not help us; and 2) paper-thin walls. We could clearly hear late night discussions in the room next to us, as well as the giggling, lovemaking, etc., of what seemed to be newlyweds. We loved this hotel from the moment we set foot in it. Very comfortable and quiet rooms over three floors, some rooms with balconies where you can enjoy a private breakfast or take it in the bright downstairs dining room. Hotel has no lifts but it was all easy access via the wide stairs. Room windows are double glazed and ours looked onto the small […] private hotel piazza and the old church with its terracotta roof. Breakfast was continental style and Ronaldo who looks after the dining room is very helpful. The hotel is located next to the historic Santa Prisca church, and is easy walking distance to Circus Maximus, the old Terme di Caracalla Roman baths, Coloseum and the very ancient Palatino area of Rome. Excellent staff, especially breakfast waitress very hardworking and efficient. Reception staff friendly, however we would have appreciated some more information about the hotel when checking in. Instead, the receptionist appeared distracted and did not provide much information spontaneously.

The Hotel Domus Aventina is situated very close to Circo Massimo and in a quiet suburban street very near to the attractions. (15 minute walk to Colesseum) It also has the added advantage of being located close to a metro stop (Circo Massimo) and I highly recommend you use the Metro to get around (€4 Day Ticket) although you cannot hear the trains. […] So top marks for location and at a really reasonable cost. As people say, you get what you pay for. The room was tidy and made every day, en suite and air conditioned (bit noisy) but nonetheless very comfortable for my requirements. Buen hotel, limpio bonito pero no dominan otro idioma que no sea italiano y la calidad de la recepción no es del todo buena. Aparte no está a la altura para recibir masivamente turistas, no tiene ascensor.

Som forventet, men noe oppgradert fra forrige opphold

Si tu novia necesitauna habitación cómoda y limpia, con un baño limpio este es el hotel. Absolutamente tranquilo, está en un barrio "bien" lejos de los ruidos del centro. A dos paradas del centro (coliseo y circo máximo). A dos paradas del trastevere, pudiendo ir incluso andando a todas partes. De verdad, muy recomendable. Godt værelse - men ærgerligt at der ikke var et udendørsareal vi kunne opholde os på når solen skinnede.

Ruhige und zentrale Lage, begrünter Innenhof. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Trastevere mit netten Restaurants gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück o. k., hervorragender Kaffee.

Bra mellanlanda hotell med promenad avstånd till det mesta i Rom. Lugnt läge. Buffé frukost ( kontinentalisk ) dvs avsaknad av bacon o ägg och färsk frukt. Annars helt Ok!

El hotel está un poco a desmano pero es muy tranquilo. Para más de cuatro días está muy bien. Estuvimos en una habitación con terraza que daba al patio, con buen tiempo una maravilla. Los baños son muy pequeños y excesivamente básicos y las habitaciones son inferiores a lo que muestra la WEB.

Hotel en buena zona y bien comunicado, buen personal. Desayuno muy justito Cama de 1,90 que para los altos no llega

Pænt lille hotel, der passer fint til tre stjerner. Lidt uden for det centrale Rom ca. 10 min. gang fra Colosseum.

Ideale Lage, nahe dem Circus Maximus und Metro Station. Ruhige Strasse, Zimmer mit Standard-Konfort, klimatisiert. Eher kleines Bad, etwas gedrängte Anordnung. Frühstück ist ok, Auswahl könnte etwas grosszügiger sein, aber hat alles was man wirklich braucht. Sehr leckerer Kaffee.

The hotel is about a 10 min walk from Forum Romanum and the Metro station by the same name. Thus, the hotel is close to the ancient heart of Rome, not "down-town". It's a perfect "two-steps" away from the tourist throng (1 metro stop to the Colosseum) and the hotel staff could recommend a few restaurants nearby which turned out to be excellent and genuine […] with a lot of locals, not just tourists. We booked a "superior double" (room no 32), and apart from the carpets being pretty worn and stained, the room was excellent for a 3-star hotel. It was fairly spacious, with a desk, a few chairs, a closet, bedside tables and good reading lights. The bathroom was functional, with a good shower. The room even had a small balcony with a table and two chairs facing the courtyard - a very nice bonus! The room was made up and cleaned every day. The free breakfast buffet was perhaps nothing to write home about, but still absolutely adequate, with excellent personal coffee and tea service. The staff was always helpful. All in all, a very nice hotel experience and we'd definitely consider staying there again. Lees meer

vielfältige Aktivitäten und ruhige Nächte. Die Lage war optimal (Metrostation ca. 300m entfernt; Busstationen z.B. Richtung Petersdom ebenfalls fußläufig gut erreichbar; Palatin, Colosseum, Foren problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen; Aventim ist ein ruhiger, grüner und sauberer Stadtteil). Das Zimmer war bemerkenswert ruhig, verfügte über eine sehr leise […] aber effektive Klimaanlage. Leider war begrünter Hof (entgegen der Beschreibung!) und Dachterrasse nicht benutzbar. Einen Lift gibt es nicht. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig (mit frischen Croissants, Brötchen und Kaffee oder Kaffeespezialitäten aus professioneller Espressomaschine) aber leider ohne frischen Käse oder Aufschnitt. Insgesamt aber völlig i.O. und dazu in ruhiger Umgebung und von 7:00 bis 10:30, also kein morgendliches Gehetze! Trastevere mit seinen vielen kleinen Restaurants ist zu Fuß ebenfalls nur ca. 15 Minuten entfernt. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit und völlig unkompliziert. Lees meer

Pidimme matkaseuralaiseni kanssa hotellista todella paljon. Hotelli oli rauhallisen kadun varrella, muuta todella hyvien kulkuyhteyksien äärellä. Metrolle käveli 5min ja busseja kulki aivan hotellin edestä. Colosseumille käveli 10 min ja jos on ahkeralla päällä niin kyllä esim espanjalaisille portaillekkin voi kävellä. Itse teimme niin. Aamiainen oli […] vaatimaton, mutta vatsan sai täyteen. Cappucino oli herkullista! Hotellin henkilökunta oli mukavaa ja kysymyksiimme etsittiin aina vastaukset. Petyimme hieman siihen, että myöhäsemmästä check outista olisi pitänyt maksaa 40€!!. Vaikutti röyhekältä rahastukselta. Hieman kummallinen sattuma tapahtui eräänä aamuna kun poistuimme huoneesta ja kun siivoaja näki tämän, hän kävi siivoamassa huoneen vaikka ovessa oli "do not disturb"-kyltti. Sinällään pieni asia, mutta seuralaiseni kanssa pidimme tätä hieman periaatekysymyksenä. Lees meer

Nettes Hotel mit Abstrichen. Preis / Leistung ist gut. Das Servicepersonal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Das Hotel ist sehr einfach gehalten und unser Zimmer war eher klein, aber wir hatten eine Veranda. (Es scheint, dass viele Zimmer eine Veranda oder Balkon haben.) Das Hotel bietet einen sehr guten Ausgangspunkt zu einer Rom Städtetour. Nächste […] U-Bahn 5-10Min zu Fuß. Nächster Bus-Stopp 3Min zu Fuß.
