Kempinski Mall Of The Emirates in Dubai

The hotel was quality. Service from personnel was excellent. Note, some rooms out the back are affected by noise from the Mall airconditioning, however, after politely requesting to move rooms, we were moved to a room without the noise. No fuss and we had just a most excellent stay.

Parts of the lobby were closed for renovation. The swimming pools were small, one of the pools was closed. The rooms were good sized and the service was OK. I would not revisit the hotel.

When we checked in they did not have the bed ready, not a problem as they allowed us to enter the room an hour early. I tried to set up the sofa bed but there was not even any bedding for it in the room. We asked for someone to come up and provide bedding/make the bed... 4 hours later this had still not been done despite 2 further chase up calls and […] speaking in person to one of the porters and the front desk. Waste of money. No idea on customer satisfiaction and an over-rated hotel compared to the vast hotel options in Dubai. We had booked the Classic room, (on honeymoon) with an advance purchase NR rate of just over $300 per night excl of breakfast) The usual rate is obviously way more. We get "dumped" into a small corner room which is literally at the […] end of the hotel, 5 minutes walk from the lift with a room so small that it makes the European hotels in Paris/Madrid look big. I expressed my dissatisfaction from DAY 1 only to be told that all classic rooms are like that and if I wanted a more space I would have to pay a "small sum". I tried to explain to the manager that the "classic" room as they call it, is a standard room at any other hotel. I gave examples of other hotels in DXB (eg Deira City Centre Hotel, Al Bustan Rotana, Pullman Mall of the Emirates, which is now the Sheraton) where their standard rooms are way more spacious and MUCH cheaper. The bathrooms are old fashioned, (no knobs to hang toiltery bags etc, no hot water on the 1 day, toiletries not regulalrly replaced) if your choice is to stay near Mall of the Emirates then go for Sheraton (ex Pullman Mall of the Emirates)It is a WAY better choice , better ambience, more modern bathrooms and pleasant views of the city compared to Kempinski. On complaining on 3 separate occasions, NOTHING was done to improve our living conditions as they had already banked our money. Needless to say I WILL NEVER stay here again. Lees meer

I will never stay at this hotel again. I did not even get my first specific right of having my rooms ready at 3 pm. Around 4 they almost arranged one of the rooms, and I dont remember exactly what time after 6 they delivered the second room. No need to tell more about this hotel. Very friendly service at an upscale hotel. If you are here to shop, then this has to be one of the best hotel options in Dubai as you are literally connected to the Mall of the Emirates. The mall is huge and has stores ranging from Carrefour (similar to a Super Walmart), mid to high range clothing stores, to uber luxury retailers. We opted for an executive […] room which was pricier (but more affordable through Expedia) and worth it with the executive lounge service - nice breakfast, happy hour, and internet included. Lounge seating at breakfast was sometimes tight due to the hotel being at capacity but the staff was accommodating. Both my daughter and I had an enjoyable stay at the Kempinski for a couple of nights. The room was absolutely fantastic and the amenities were equally superb. The room service menu does not have a lot of varieties, but has an acceptable range of selections. The staff at the Kempinski are exceptionally helpful and they went out of their way to please […] us on several occasions. The swimming pool is too deep for kids, but they do offer life jackets. We especially enjoyed the proximity to Mall of the Emirates. We could go shopping and take our choices of a variety of restaurants. Our bellman, Paul, was extremely helpful and seem to take very personal interest in our comfort. I didn't get much sleep on the bed, but honestly, it could have been the jet lag.

Hotel is convenient for shoppers being part of the Emirates mall. Location is near and easy access to every attraction in Dubai. Breakfast is expensive, you can have a good breakfast at PAUL in the mall 1 minute walk.

Great Hotel!!! Staff was over accommodating especially in the Executive Lounge which turned out great because I needed a Conference room after work each day and they were more than happy to assist. Nice Gym. only complaint I had was the Sofa in my Room was rock hard, they should really update the sofa's to something more comfortable. Also sound have […] a sound machine/ Ipod radio dock in the rooms. Most of the Hotels stateside have one and its nice to plug in your Ipod and listen to music while it charges. The first impression about this hotel was bad cause air conditions were not able to keep the reception cold, the reception was HOOOT and humid the LIFTS aswell.. The hotel is in a great location, in the Mall of the Emirates. It was comfortable and clean. Sinks in the bathroom don't drain well, so housekeeping had to take out the drainstoppers in both sinks. The carpets in the hallways of hotel appear stain....perhaps need changing. DId get an upgrade to junior suite which was very nice. Staff are very pleasant […] and customer oriented. first of all, the manager( i think )asked us to pay more money to have another room without explaining to us what is the problem with our room which was a 'SKI CHALET' ! when we refused to change our room he told us that there is a maintenance work !! SO MUCH NOISE # DRILLING AND DIGGNG# !! i think in this condition,,, the hotel is responseble for this […] problem and should upgrade us with no charge !! also the restaurant delayed our breakfast order to my room because of the "fake fire alarming", its really upsets me because we had an appointment. the air condition WAS THE WORST !! nothing but humidity... but the room was great and the location the best. hotel is very nice. the only issue i had was with the breakfast. i was staying in the executive grand deluxe room, and was told that my rate only includes breakfast in the K room on the 11th floor. i should have been allowed to have breakfast on the 1st floor as well instead of being told to pay for it if i wanted on the 1st floor. the biggest problem […] of breakfast on the 11th floor was the lack of good service, and it was understaffed. when sitting down for breakfast, no one would come and ask whether we wanted tea or coffee or eggs or anything from the kitchen. we had to always ask.there is tea and coffee available but this is the one to make yourself. i was with my mum who finds it difficult to walk and still no one came to ask. other than the service on the 11th floor breakfast area, the hotel is extremely good in every department.
