Corrib Village in Galway

Idee van studentencampus Lekker goedkoop Gedeelde badkamer, maar wij hadden geen buren. Beetje gehorig, snachts kan het wat druk zijn.

Very near Galway City. Room very basic only had 1 pillow but otherwise clean and well kept. I found staff to be quiet unfriendly especially when checking out They didnt ask if i had a nice stay they just took my key card and said thanks.So i found that disappointing. Over all it is a nice place to stay.

good cheap accommodation for the week that was in it would go back next year .

This is very basic student res accommodation. I found it fine as a place to kip although it has no charm.There is a nice kitchen though which was v handy. It is approx. 20mins walk from the city centre.

It is a good place, cheap and cheerful. Very clean nice clean towels. Its a good piece from the city but there is a good free bus service. Continental breakfast very good just help yourself to that. Just a bit noisey from people slamming doors at night, but very good otherwise.

Absolutely fine for what it is. Its basically a student campus accommodation which I assume is being opened to the general public for the summer, I stayed in the en-suite room which was basic but fine, a kind of apartment setting. About a 20min walk to the city centre and my room was a good 2-5 min walk from reception but I had a car. So the "apartment"blocks […] are spread out. For me it was fine and quite. Similar to uni dorms in Australia. Great compared to many hostels we have stayed at. Definitely great value. Had some trouble with swipe cards letting us in but always got lucky with someone to help.

It's a budget accommodation, for sure. But they offer individual dorm rooms, with a shared bathroom situation...but the bathrooms you share are individual. It's not a communal shower area like traditional dorm rooms, which was a plus. The buildings are older, but maintained fairly well. Breakfast in the morning was adequate to get the day started. Though […] they are a bit away from City Center, the free shuttle ran on-schedule between the property and Eyre Square. And, it was only a 20 minute or so walk, through campus, to the City Center. I would recommend the place for people visiting Galway on a budget...but wanting a private sleeping space with a door you can lock, unlike many hostel set ups. Lees meer

Check-in was a bit of a hassle. Their system was down so we had to wait for 30 minutes. Even when the system was online, it wasn't much help I reckon. I called them to make sure they had the rooms but the receptionist told me that information couldn't be checked upon their system, which sounded very weird. So basically it was like "book it online and […] cross your fingers". Breakfast was nice, actually very nice for the price we paid for the rooms. Parking lot was included. Towels were provided. Amiable staff until we requested a simple extra room to be situated next to ours. They ended up giving us rooms on two dfferent sides of the complex and the keys didn't even work to let us into the room. A long night, sorting that out. As for the acommodation itself, the dorms smell of sweat and mothballs but at least they provide you with toiletries. Stay […] here if you don't mind one night of discomfort, it's cheap at least. This hotel is fine for the price and i think it is more suited to young people. it had all conveniences. But it took a very long walk in to the city. The breakfast was very good and dining hall kept clean.

Unbelievable value. Unbeatable. Remote for a city location but no problem at all if you have a car. Safe. Complex is clean and presentable. Bathroom could have been better cleaned (and would happily pay a bit more for that!) and the breakfast is simple enough but you won't find better value anywhere in Ireland.

The hotel is dorm-like in structure. Reminiscent of college days, your stay may be complete with 4 am false fire alarm, as mine was.

It is cheap accommodation and this is how it should be rated. Beds are however very good and as such the place is good for the money, if you can live with sharing bath with others. Only really minus was the damp smell on arrival - which was however, cleared within an hours with open windows, followed by turning on the heat. I did not really know what is a budget accommodation until I stayed at this hotel. I think my biggest disappointment was that the bathroom was shared between 3 rooms!! so 2 other occupants in the appartment were using the same toilet and bathroom as I was.. perhaps if I had known this I'd not have even booked this hotel, but may be I did not pay attention […] to this detail and did not understand the term "budget accommodation" The price on the other hand was quite reasonable and the location of this accommodation in Galway was very good - both the Cliffs of Moher as well as Connemara were almost 1.25 hours distance from this place. I guess this might be a good option for those who are in bigger groups (where people know each other) and cost as well as location is one of the main consideration. Lees meer

I thought this complex was a brillant idea and enjoyed staying here. I nearly didn't book in because of the negative reviews. The room was excellant and very clean. I was stayin in an apartment with 4 bedrooms - 2 ensuite and 2 sharing a bathroom. And a kitchen and sitting room. We had breakfast in the cafe on campus which was good and for an all […] in price of €30 this was excellant value. The staff at reception were courtious and very helpful. We had been allocated a twin room but wanted a double and the girl at reception had it sorted in seconds!! I will definatly be returning next year when its open again as accommodation Lees meer

This is a college dorm. Nothing more, nothing less. They offer lots of tours for the surrounding area. If you expect nice hotel conditions, move on. If you need a bed for a night or two, or you are under the age of 24, this place is fine.

I know it was a festival weekend but before renting out dorm rooms, they should steam clean the rooms. Mine smelled of testosterone and male pee in the toilet. The washing baing was grotty and there was lots of scum around the faucet. Obviously,, no one cares to do any cleaning except for wiping something. The service shuttle bus, after waiting […] 45 mins passed by where i was standing or told to wait nearly 10 mins earlier. So i had to get taxi and when i approached the driver to tell him he said no, he didn,t and was very defensive and angry. Great customer relationship. I think one should have the option to cancel and not be charged for the room if one finds it disgusting. That's robery, keep charging people without caring as if everyone is made of money. En general esta bien. Las habitación estaba limpia y la cama era comoda. El lavabo (compartido) estaba correcto, la bañera no muy limpia, pero pasable. La cocina bien. El desayuno normal, no continental como te ofrecen. Esta un poco alejado del centro unos 30 min caminando. Stayed in the Corrib Village in August 2011, on the way to Aran islands. The Village is basically a Uni campus. Distance to town center is approx. 2-3km, but easy walk, on the river side. Room was clean, basic student room with bed, desk, tv (bad reception), own bathroom with shower. Bed was ok, had enough warm water for shower. Wi-fi is available […] all around the campus for free (corrib village), but you can get appartment specific 24h wi-fi for separate price. Did not understand the practical difference, so I recommend to try the free one first. Breakfast was simple continental: tea, coffee, cereals, canned fruits, scones and bread, juice. Accommodation was basically a hostel level en-suite room. I can recommend for those who do not require too much for their accommodation. Lees meer

Un hôtel à bas prix dans un campus universitaire. Le prix de la wi-fi (en supplément) n'est pas cher. La chambre double est toute petite et il y a du bruit la nuit.

Es un hotel para estudiantes, las habitaciones son pequenas pero bien dotadas. Muy buen precio, y si tienes suerte de que no te toquen vecinos ruidos y que mantengan el ban/o limpio es un lugar muy bueno para 1 o 2 noches.

un hotel à bas prix, dont la propreté des chambres laisse à désirer. L'accueil est agréable. Nous n'avons pas testé le restaurant. Le petit déjeuner est des plus simple. Bref, ce n'est pas un souvenir impérissable.

war ok, Lage etwas ausserhalb der Stadt, jedoch Stadtzentrum mit eigenem Auto einfach zu erreichen. Sauberkeit der Zimmer nicht hotelwürdig. B+B Unterkünfte zum gleichen Preis in viel besserer Qualität, kundenfreundlicher. Morgenessen reichlich vorhanden, aber unpersönlich in Discounter-Mannier.
