Hotel Derby Sevilla ligt heel handig bij de luchthaven in Historical Center in Sevilla, dicht bij Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Stadhuis van Sevilla en Kathedraal van Sevilla. In de buurt liggen ook Alcazar en Giralda.

Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een plafondventilator en openslaande ramen. Bovendien wordt 's avonds een turndownservice aangeboden en is een huishoudservice dagelijks beschikbaar. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als een telefonische wekdienst beschikbaar. De renovatie van alle kamers werd in januari 2012 voltooid.

Het personeel was heel gasatvrij, deed echt moeite om ons dingen uit te leggen en zaken voor ons op te zoeken. De kamers zijn wat oudbollig, maar voor deze prijs zeker niet onder de kwaliteit. De lokatie is goed, je steekt een straat over en je zit in de Barrrio Santa Cruz, met kathedraal, alcazar en Plaza D'Espana op loopafstand. Er liggen ook wat kleine barrtejes, supermarkt en 24uurs apotheek binnen 150 meter.

Bij aankomst HEEL moeilijk te vinden; taxi's kennen de straat niet. Laatste stukje moet je so wie so lopen (er kunnen geen auto's door straatje), maar taxichauffeur wees mij een verkeerde richting; vooral s'avonds niemand in de steegjes om de weg te wijzen, of, als ze er waren, kenden ze de straatnaam niet. Plaza Dona Elvira is vlakbij en kennen de mensen wel. Mijn kamer had alleen een raam op de (overdekte) patio, waarin restaurant zat. Patio werkte als klankkast: dus veel geluidsoverlast.

Nette ontvangst en handig geregeld met de parkeergarage onder het hotel (ik meen 13,50 per dag). Een metrostation naar het centrum (drie haltes) ligt op ca. 100 meter van het hotel. Bioscoop met veel eetgelegenheden ligt om de hoek. Ontbijt aan de dure kant vonden we: er zijn dan genoeg andere alternatieven in de omgeving.

Hostal Santa Catalina ligt dicht bij vele bezienswaardigheden in Sevilla. Het is een eenvoudig hostal maar netjes en schoon. De kamer die wij hadden was een beetje klein,vooral de douche. Bed was ook een beetje aan de korte kant maar prima uitvalbasis voor een stedentrip naar Sevilla.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding"
Algemeen goed verzorgd hotel in het centrum. diverse bezienswaardigheden goed lopend bereikbaar. Bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Buiten het hotel eten is wel goedkoper, maar is ook gezelliger, hoort immers bij het cultuur opsnuiven.

Bars, restaurants and the major sights are within easy walking distance, a large department store (El Corte Inglés) is practically next door. Rooms are fairly small, but tidy and quiet. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.
"Super Hotel"
The hotel is in an excellant position where you can walk to all interesting sites and also restaurants for dinner. We enjoyed our stay very much and staff at reception were all very helpful. Will definitely return to the Derby Hotel on my next visit to Seville as there is still much more to see and enjoy the city.

I spent two nights at the Hotel Derby in March, 2011. The hotel is very nice. My room had beautiful hardwood floors, a flat screen TV, a desk, closet and comfortable bed, plenty of electrical outlets, and a large bathroom and nice shower. The room was very comfortable and nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located in a nice […] neighborhood, right on a plaza that has an open air market on most days. Or, if you like indoor shopping, there is a large El Corte Ingles department store right next door. There are many restaurants located nearby, and it is a short walk to the ayuntamiento and cathedral and other sights in Sevilla's beautiful historic district. The river is about a 10 minute walk, as is the bus station. The train station is too far away to walk but a taxi ride costs about 6 euros. I highly recommend this hotel. Lees meer
"Hotel Derby - Weekend Break"
Picked this hotel on the basis of price and location and it was fine. Close to shops, bars and a restaurants and a short taxi ride from the train station. Didn't eat there but staff were friendly and helpful.

Very convienent hotel- very well situated. SIngle room while basic enough was spotlessly clean.It would have been nice had there been an english peaking channel available on the tv. The staff were friendly and helpful. The central lcoation of this hotel more than compensated for what the hotel lacked in extras.
"Too expensive for what you get"
This hotel is rated 3 stars and compared to other 3 stars we stayed at in Spain, it was not up to par. It's not really the hotel's fault- it's an old building but they could fix the AC- it's loud and you can't set the temperature. Not that you'll be watching TV there- but ours didn't work very well (all other 3 stars had nice TVs) and the beds weren't […] that comfortable. That being said, it's in a great location- easy 10-15 min walk to the tourist sites, great cafe across the street, grocery store on the other side of the plaza (in El Corte Ingles). I just think for a 3 star, it could be better in the rooms. And for the price we paid, I think we could have stayed in a nicer hotel. Lees meer

"Hotel tæt på det hele - ligger perfekt."
Hotellet lå tæt på alle seværdigheder, og selv om det ligger midt i byen, var der pænt stilfærdigt. Det eneste minus var, at vinduet på værelset lå ud til en overdækket lukket baggård, så der var ikke meget lys på værelset. Morgenmaden var rimélig. Til et 2 tal.

Ubicación excelente, muy cerca de la catedral y de la calle Sierpes, buen ambiente alrededor con restaurantes y bares de tapas. Habitación moderna, amplia, limpia y cómoda. Baño amplio, completo y limpio. Nos tocó en la tercera planta, de las cuatro que tiene el hotel, y el zumbido del equipo de aire acondicionado que está instalado en la azotea se […] oía tan claramente que por la noche molestaba para dormir. En la cuarta planta, encima de la habitación, hay un comedor que se usa para desayunos y los movimientos de mesas y sillas se oían con toda claridad. Si no te molestan los ruidos, éste es tu hotel. "Fint hotel med central beliggenhed"
Hotellet er placeret i forlængelse af byens største shopping gade og er under 1 km. fra katedralen og slottet, som er steder, der skal ses i byen. Hotellet fremstår som lidt umoderne, men er absolut pænt, velholdt og med fin rengøring. Personalet har et forståeligt omend lettere mangelfuldt engelsk. Morgenmaden er lidt basal men er ellers udmærket. […] Absolut et fint sted til prisen som jeg selv ville overveje en anden gang. Lees meer

"HOTEL CENTRICO; A REMODELAR HABITACIONES ."
HABITACION MUY SIMPLE, POR LA ZONA GEOGRAFICA EN CENTRO CIUDAD....MEJORAR CALIDAD Y TAMAÑO CAMA.
hotel situazo in posizione OTTIMA per visitare Siviglia, ma il personale non ha conoscenza del'ITALIANO. La stanza che mi hanno fornita era ben arredata ma molto piccola, il bagno con doccia aveva una tenda e gli spifferi che non sapevo dove venissero la movevano e veniva adosso nentre mi lavavo. L'utima giorno del soggiorno AVEVO CHIESTO LA PULIZIA […] ALLE 11.00 ... ma poi NESSUNO E VENUTO E SOLO NEL TARDO POMERIGGIO E' VE ENUTA UNA SIGNORA CON UN TONO NON ASSOLTUAMENTE NON CORDIALE ... NON CAPIVO QUELLO CHE DICEVA HA ANCHE ALZATO LA VOCE ...di fatto la stanza NON è STATA PULITA!!! QUEL GIORNO Ho avuto un problema di salute (febbre molto alta OLTRE 38) ed ero solo! Ho chiesto di prolungare il soggiorno in quanto MALATO e se potevo evitare di spostarmi in altra stanza: questo mi è stato concesso, ma al momento, l'adetto della reception ha chiesto che dovevo provvedere al pagamento IMMEDIATO della stanza (IL RESTO DEL SOGGIORNO ERA STATO GIA PAGATO PER INTERO ANTICIPATAMENTE). Io ero a letto con febbre alta e sarei dovuto scendere in reception per pagare quanto chiesto... poi invece di fatto hanno aspettato l'indomani, PRESUMO CHE QUESTA LORO RIChIESTA FOSSE DETTATA DAL FATTO CHE NON AVESSERO CAPITO QUANTO MALE STAVO nonostante avessi tentato di spiegarmi IN QUEL MOMENTO, POI VERSO LE 12.30 AL TELEFONO UN ADETTO ALLA RECEPTION MI HA CHIESTO, CORTESEMENTE, SE AVEVO BISOGNO DI QUALCOSA E CHE POTEVO RIVOLGERE LORO OGNI RICHIESTA DI AIUTO e che anche il pagamento della stanza per l'ultima notte lo avrei potuto saldare alla mia partenza. Ho chiesto del mangiare in stanza, ma è arrivato dopo molto tempo e dopo tre chiamate e non tutto quello che avevo chiesto. Un consiglio se non avete un inglese fluente o non parlate lo spagnolo al bisogno potreste trovare non poche difficolta'. Lees meer
