Zeer sfeervol hotel, prachtig uitzicht; heerlijk ontbijt op het terras. Personeel heel aardig en behulpzaam.

Zeer handig gelegen voor bezoek scavi en trip naar Vesuvius. Het hotel kan een kaartje regelen via de "tramvia". Veel rustiger dan de massale reis via de verkopers met de 4x4 bussen. Hotel zelf ademt vergane glorie, maar dat is tegelijk ook de charme.

hotel voldoet aan alle verwachtingen, goed verzorgd en ruime kamer... geen enkele negatieve ervaring...midden in oud napels en op loopafstand is bijna alles te doen muv pompei/vesuvius.
Ligging.
Continental bevindt zich in het centrum van Sorrento, dicht bij Museo Bottega della Tasia Lignea, Chiesa di San Francesco en Marina Grande. In de buurt liggen ook Sedile Dominova en Deep Valley of the Mills.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Continental heeft een jachthaven, een buitenzwembad en een fitnesscentrum. Een draadloze internetverbinding is beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes (tegen betaling). Dit hotel in Sorrento biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Gasten krijgen gratis ontbijt. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een huwelijksservice en een limousine- of autoservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, een bibliotheek en meertalig personeel. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een lokale shuttlebus, een luchthavenshuttle en een ophaalservice bij het treinstation. Parkeerruimte is tegen betaling beschikbaar, maar beperkt.
Hotelkamers.
Elke kamer heeft een patio. Bij Continental zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een minibar en een kluis. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van de draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via satelliet. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer heeft een bad/douchecombinatie met een regendouchekop, badjassen, een bidet en make-up/scheerspiegels.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere pantoffels en een föhn. Bovendien wordt dagelijks een huishoudservice aangeboden. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als massagebehandelingen op de kamer beschikbaar.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.
Speciale verzoeken kunnen, indien mogelijk, bij het inchecken worden ingewilligd. Hiervoor kunnen extra kosten worden aangerekend. Speciale verzoeken kunnen niet worden gegarandeerd.

Deze kleine stad is gevestigd op steile witte rotsen en biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de Baai van Napels. Typische producten uit Sorrento zijn geproduceerd met citroenen: Limoncello, een zeer smakelijke likeur van citroen, citroenchocolade, kleurige keramiek met citroenmotief en citroenzeep. Of probeer in de Gelateria Bougainvillea meer dan 70 verschillende soorten ijs.

"Hotel Continental - Sorrento"
Wonderful Hotel, great location, soft beds, AC worked, Clean and inviting. This hotel is right in front of a public park, which offers a great view of the bay, palm trees, and comfortable park benches. The breakfast was very good, hotel staff was helpful and attentive. "Hotel Continental in Sorrento - great location"
Hotel Continental in Sorrento is in a great location, close to the centre. Worth paying extra for a sea view. Staff friendly & professional. Breakfast good. Nice swimming pool. All in all a great place to stay.
"Mixed feelings"
At the moment of booking on Hotels.com, the room for 3 people i rented was advertised as the one with Seaview and balcony. I booked it, never looked into the receipt, which turned out to be just a room for 3, no sea view, tiny as a closet, dark, 3rd bed being almost broken, complete shocker. There was a balcony, looking into the roof of another building […] that you would not want to go to. After unsuccessfully trying to reach hotels.com on roaming phone (people that picked up the phone after listening our explanations transferred us to another company in London (financial firm?), so after 15 mins of trying we gave up on hotels.com), paid extra to the Hotel and were transferred to a nice size room on a 3rd floor with Balcony and Sea view (what i think was originally advertised on hotels.com). That room was comfortable enough for 3 people, with big bathroom, magnificent view of the bay. Hotel has lift going down to the beach (have to pay for everything but very good), pool is large, clean and excellent, town center very close, very convenient, breakfast decent. My advise - get the room with sea view and you will be a happy camper, but always look at confirmation from hotels.com. Lees meer
The hotel was great for that area. One of the things should be looked into and corrected is the access of internet. It was confusing and took quite a bit of time to to be able to use it. If you pay for the hour it might take you that much time to get on with it.
"The Continental - great hotel with gorgeous views"
We were truly pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were in a junior suite at the hotel, which was perfect. It provided extra room, and we had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the piazza. The room was exceptionally clean and well-decorated. The only negative was the mattress, which wasn't the most comfortable, but wasn't bad, either. […] The hotel staff was very friendly and service was exceptional. The breakfast provided was quite good (compared to most of our other Italian experiences), as well. We spent 3 nights at the Continental and our stay was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic.
"breakfast buffet"
We felt that the breakfast buffet was not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. This was our 15th trip to europe so feel qualified to comment. The scrambled eggs were very unappetizing. The only fresh fruit was was watermelon(looked like cut the day before) other whole fruit not ripe. The croissants and bread did not seem fresh. We ate the cold cereal […] and yogurt. Lees meer
"Continental Hotel, Sorrento - Perfect!"
I am just back from an amazing stay at the Continental. The location, food, service and rooms were all excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sorrento. The hotel is just off the main square with a beautiful garden in front and great views over the bay. There is also a lift to the beach and port below.
"Our surprise in Italy"
We went to Sorrento as a last minute idea. We loved the Continental! The staff was extremely helpful, the room and view were beautiful. The breakfast was fabulous. Of our 2 trips to Italy, this is the only hotel we are going back to! You won't be sorry if you stay here.
"great place to stay with glorious sea views"
My wife and I have just returned from a week in Sorrento during which we stayed in the Continental Hotel.It was most enjoyable. The hotel is very well situated providing easy access to town centre, beach etc. We had a beautiful junior suite with glorious sea views.The staff were excellent and most helpful.
"Great location!"
Hotel was in fantastic location, short 10 minute walk to Marina Piccola for ferries up/down Sorrentine & Amalfi Coasts. Rooms needed updating, seemed to be last updated in the late 70s or early 80s. "Pleasant and attractive"
Overall a nice hotel, good facilities. The rooms are attractive and functional. The pool is nice. The breakfast reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, quite close to the town centre but in a quiet area. The beds are large but very firm and the rooms are not well sound-insulated.

"A good pick in Sorrento"
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. The staff was fantastic and very helpful - our highest grade to them. Food The breakfast was really good but we never tried the dinner because we wanted to go down town. Pool area The hotel management should really address the pool area and especially the sun beds - old and many were broken. Easy fix but valuable […] for us as guests. Services to improve Free WIFI. "Continental"
Hotel bom mas com pouco luxo. Perfeito para passar 02 a 03 noites . Serviço de café da manhã rigido ao horario de fechamento . Pessoal educado e com bom atendimento na recepção. Muito bom para quem chega de carro. Boa localização para quem pega o Barco de transporte a ILHA DE CAPRI. Perto do centro de Sorrento pode andar a pé tranquilhamente.
"Continental lyxigt, prisvärt & gemytligt!"
Vi bodde på Continental under vår bröllopsresa till Sorrento och Capri. Rummen var urtjusiga och utsikten otrolig. Personalen var trevlig och mat & dryck till belåtenhet. Enda minuset var att man fick betala inträde till stranden nedan samt att det var rätt lyhört. Överlag var vi dock jättenöjda!
"Continental, Sorrento - super beliggenhed"
Det gode hotel med den meget velholdte store pool og adgang med elevator til strand kan absolut anbefales. Ligger i en rolig, grøn del af byen med mange restauranter tæt på. Gå afstand til busholdeplads og station på 15 min.
"Bra hotell"
Ett mycket bra hotell i Sorrento, med bra service och lite gammal engelsk stil. Det enda som är lite dåligt är badstranden som inte direkt inbjuder till bad och dessutom kostar en hel del.

Very nice hotel and lovely location!
Muy buen servicio, nos han tratado de maravillas y esta muy bien ubicado. Lo unico que hay que acordarse es que si van con auto hay que reservar el parking ya que el hotel cuenta con pocos espacios!

Mycket bra läge, snygga rum, trevlig personal med service känsla. Återkommer gärna. Enda nackdel hårda sängar.
"Svært godt hotell"
Et veldig bra hotell med ideell beliggenhet sentralt i Sorrento både med tanke på buss- og båtturer, og andre aktiviteter i byen (ut å spise, shoppe). Svært hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening. Som ellers i Italia noe harde senger.
