Best Western Plus Hotel At The Convention Center in Long Beach

A very good hotel, nice staff, fair sized rooms, good beds, good bathroom, well provided amenities, nice breakfast (more than the std coffee, bread, bagels and jam) - pretty ok eggs bacon and waffles. Netjes en goed onderhouden hotel dat voldoet aan alle standaarden voor een middenklasse hotel. Diverse restaurants en cafe's in omgeving aanwezig. Ontbijt inbegrepen maar wel 'typisch' Amerikaans dus niet super gevarieerd of bijzonder zoals in Europa.

Ontbijt zou iets uitgebreider kunnen, zwembad niet geprobeerd, maar verder prima hotel en goed gelegen. Ga je echter voor het strand zou ik LongBeach niet aanraden. Vervuild water, geen golven. De volgende keer naar Huntington Beach.

Hotel, huurauto en vliegreis volstrekt prima geregeld. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig, typisch Amerikaans maar voldoende. De ontbijtruimte was te klein en vaak moesten we staand ontbijten. Dat was niet zo handig. Het ophalen en terugbrengen van de huurauto, de pendelbus van het vliegveld naar het autoverhuurbedrijf verliep prima en vlekkeloos. A very nice room centrally located to everything in downtown. The room was very clean, and had an incredibly comfy bed. The only downside was the balcony faced some apartments that were rather noisy. Other than than overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

When we were driving through the area to get to our hotel, I was a little sketchy. I also missed the entrance to the parking garage because I only saw a sign for parking for the restaurant next door. For the price you definitely get your bang for your buck. Minus the $10 charge to park your car. Overall nice place to stay, plenty within walking distance. The staff (Jo) was awesome from the minute I checked in to answering simple questions. Very hospitable.

Booked it on Hotels.com and was informed it had a hot tub and heated indoor pool. No hot tub and the indoor pool was not heated. Informed front desk and they said "don't know what to tell you" Not the answer I was expecting. Another guest checking in at the same time booked through Hotels.com and was told the same thing about the pool and hot tub. She […] already paid for her room and they would not let her check in because she didn't have the same credit card she booked with. Very rude front desk personnel. Also the continental breakfast closes at 9:30 AM, we arrived at 9:10 and everything was already put away. Not a great place for college kids to spend their spring break, but the hotel was nice and the staff members were helpful/friendly.

3 blocks to the convention center. Fun neighborhood. 2nd Saturday Night Art Walk and street fair. Taste of Long Beach in March. Art galleries, cute shops and restaurants. Parking was tight and no hot tub.

Enjoyed this hotel. Clean, quiet and convenient. Walking distance to the convention center. Safe enough to walk at night for a female. I had an added bonus of having an art walk right by the hotel on Saturday. Gym was good but pool a bit small and I would have preferred an outside one.

Excellent hotel, nice people, great rooms, very convenient access to the convention center and other local spots. The gym and the pool were closed for renovation, which was sad - but other than that, this was a great choice! I'll definitely choose to stay there again.

I was very impressed with the hotel. It was in a great location in terms of walking distance to a lot of restaurants and to the convention center. There was orange infused water in the lobby. The continental breakfasts were filled with different items including eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, bagels, pastries, make your own waffles, etc. The only negatives […] would be, if you got back to the hotel late, you may not have found parking in a 2-floor underground parking structure. Some people parked against walls inside the garage as there weren't enough parking spots - there was even a motorcycle taking up one full spot and some cars parked funky which prohibited anyone from parking in the spot next to it. Another negative is the pool is much smaller than it looks in the picture; I was expecting to be able to do some swimming but seating lines the pool and it is a bit small and the water is set at a cool temperature. I know it said nothing about a hot tub when registering for my stay, but it would have been awesome if there were a hot tub. The gym is very small too; there are only 4 items total in there. This hotel was very nice and well maintained, but I feel it was more suited for business travelers than families. My main disappointment was no refrigerator for the room, including none they could move over from another room. A family member takes daily insulin, which needs to be kept chilled, so we needed to buy an ice chest and refill it everyday […] with 4-5 buckets of ice from the ice machine. Also, no microwave oven in the room. Fridges and microwaves are pretty basic nowadays! The hotel also has no onsite laundry, which is not convenient. Otherwise, staff was very nice and helpful, room was nice, and location and parking were convenient. But I won't go back because of the fridge issue. Lees meer

Every was very good up until the last day when we went back to our hotel, and found a dirty hand towel in front on the tv stand, and unfolded towels laying on top of the toilet. There was also a stain on the towel that I used. Other than that, location was great, and service was nice.

Just a short walk to the convention center near several small cozy restaurants and even a grocery store. Away from the busy pine street, and within a few blocks of the Blue Line train into LA or LAX (connect on green). Friendly helpful staff.

Overall the rating from us is better than our expectation. we like the fact that the complimentary breakfast is superb, although the room for a busy morning could be a little bitinadequate. That is a few little feedback from us.

I appreciate the effort of the hotel to 'go green' -- that is, to operate sustainably. An area of improvements would be the breakfast service: compostable tableware and cups would be a great idea. The staff were always very helpful and polite. The room rates are competitive and making reservations is easy.

Close to shopping, dining, nightlife and the Convention Center. We picked this property specifically for the indoor pool. We were disappointed to find the pool very small and too cold to swim in. Everything else was wonderful.

Great place for the price. Stayed for a night after a cruise, we hopped on the FREE Passport bus in front of the Queen Mary that takes you into downtown at Pine & First and it was an easy couple block walk to the hotel. Lots of good shopping (Walmart, Walgreens etc) nearby and many restaurants of all prices and ethnic ranges. Had a nice walk around […] the marina/beach area. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the convention center so don't be confused by the name. While we were there they were painting the door trim, Not only did the halls smell like paint , but before they hung signs warning of the wet paint my daughter ruined a dress by brushing up against the wet paint. Also we had two rooms that checked out on consecutive […] days and one of our party moved into the remaining room. It would have been far easier if the room with the kids did not have to pack up and move, but the hotel staff could not adjust the room being vacated in any way. Furthermore, they are inflexible on checkout after noon, this was particularly inconvenient because I was on a conference call with the east coast at that time. On the good side, the breakfast selection was diverse for a hotel breakfast and the breakfast room clean and stocked. It was crowded at peak times so go early or late. Lees meer
