Suites Viena in Madrid

Goed hotel in rustige buurt dichtbij alle mogelijke bezienswaardigheden in het centrum. De badkamer is heel klein. De inrichting van de kamer - als je van inrichting kan spreken - is uitgesproken saai. Het bed is goed, de kamer schoon en ruim. Geen enkel lawaai gedurende de nachten. Netjes hotel en schone kamer. Parkeren kan in een garage naast het hotel maar is wel redelijk aan de prijs (ruim 22 euro pd). Het zit op loopafstand van het centrum. Verstandig om een kamer aan de achterkant te vragen omdat er aan de overkant een school is en omdat het direct aan de weg ligt.

Als je van een ziekenhuis sfeer houdt zal dit hotel je bevallen. Veel te strakken witte kamers met grijs laminaat op de vloer. Ongemakkelijke stoeltjes en een bed met een witte overtrek. Nee, niet aantrekkelijk. wel kil en saai. wel netjes.

Mooi verzorgd hotel. Nette kamers. goede centrale ligging. Lekker ontbijtbuffet. Minpunt was dat er te weinig bed kussens waren en de badkamer was erg klein met een niet al te best functionerende douche-kraan. Verder een prima verblijf.

De kamers komen overeen met de fotos op internet, service is erg goed en de kamers zijn heel erg clean en comfortabel. eker een aanrader als je naar Madid komt!

Only the bathroom is a little bit small. The bed was comfortable and big. The location of the hotel was 5 minutes walk from the metro station. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel offers lovely rooms at a convenient location in a quiet neighborhood. Our room contained a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, electrical stove, and a microwave. Overall, it is a good value. We did not buy breakfasts (~13 Euro).

Very good location , close to Metro and Royal Palace as well as shopping district of Grand Via. Staff was very helpfull and could speak English which is a bonus in Madrid!.Rooms are modern but fairly basic. There is a small kitchen, no dishware it just needs to be requested from the front desk. Suites Vienna was conveniently located near the Plaza de Espana and Ventura Rodriguez Metro stations. You can walk to both stations within five minutes of the hotel. We walked from our hotel room to Plaza de Espana and the the Templo de Debod. The hotel is in a quiet residential area. Our room came with a microwave, mini refrigerator, two burner stove […] top, electric hot water kettle, bottle opener, a pot and pan, a TV with many channels, hairdryer and two of the following items: forks, spoons, knives, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses. We stocked up on groceries in the nearby El Corte Ingles department store. A grocery store is located in their basement. You can pay to have breakfast at the hotel, but we opted to buy bread, cheese, meat, and fruit for breakfast everyday. The room was spacious and even included a seating area with two seats, a coffee table, and an additional table with two chairs. We really enjoyed the room. The only thing that we wish was different, was the layout of the bathroom. The floor of the tub was slippery, and the partial glass wall separating the tub from the sink, was awkwardly placed. The opening to the bathtub where we could climb in and out was narrow and since the floor of the bathtub was slippery, even with a handle on the wall, it was difficult to get in and out of the tub, particularly when you were wet. We also noticed some black mold around the rim of the bathroom sink. In order to clean the dishes, we were provided with a towel, sponge, and dish detergent. The bathroom came with a combo shampoo/body wash, as well as a comb, shower cap, disposable razor, amongst other things. If you are traveling with large luggage, we found it more convenient to take the Metro from the Plaza de Espana stop, as there was an easily accessible elevator from the street. In addition, you only have to transfer once if you take the Metro from the hotel to the airport. If you take the Metro from Ventura Rodriguez, you would have to transfer twice, and Lees meer

I was on a solo trip and found this to be the best hotel in my entire stay in Spain, out of three different places. It was the cheapest (price-weise) and lowest rated (star-wise) and yet the quality outdid everyone else. The reception was helpful with directions, answers to my questions, maps of the area, and services I could access. I got in rather […] early my first day and they checked me in on the spot, not waiting until 2pm etc. I was very glad of this as I'd flown in on the red-eye and was massively jetlagged. The suite was very roomy, awesome pillows, and super fast Wi-Fi, I streamed movies. Water pressure was very strong and the room as extremely clean. I loved the laminate floors. The itty bitty refrigerator was very cold, the kitchennette extremely helpful because I'm always on a budget and I eat in to save money. They deliver cuttlery and cooking pans on request. The area around the hotel looks a bit run down, but it was well lit, quiet, and very central and well located for metro access. It's easy to come in from the airport, I think only one line switch from Barajas. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to everyone. Lees meer

We stayed in 4 star hotels that did not meet the standards provided by this hotel. Friendly staff, kitchenette in the rooms were a nice touch, clean and not in a noisy street. Excellent accommodation - friendly, helpful staff and very comfortable room. Quiet, located close to city sights, reasonably priced mini-bar, great to have fridge and cooking facilities as well as excellent TV coverage and luggage storage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was very happy with this hotel. Great, friendly, helpful staff with really good English (since my Spanish was non-existent). Only 2 blocks to the Metro (which was very easy to get around on), to the city tours hop-on,hop-off bus stop, and to a brilliant English language cinema. My only complaint was no iron provided in the room (or the hotel!) no […] blankets (you could only use the air con) and slightly terse breakfast staff (maybe they were having a bad day). Clean, well maintained and comfortable rooms. Only reason i didn't give a 5 for maintenance was the the shower head holder was loose and could not be adjusted according to my height. It took approx 45 mins from the airport to the hotel, the location is very good and within walking distance to the Grand Palace and other sights in Madrid. There were eight of us staying over 2 nights and everyone was happy with what we encountered. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to Puerto Del Sol which may not suit everyone but there is a metro station 3 minutes away. The area is quiet with lots of convenient shops and bars and is right beside a very pretty park with a couple of playgrounds to keep […] any younger kids happy. Would definitely stay again as the price was very reasonable for what you get. There is no bar which I think dismayed a few of my companians but there is shortage of those in Madrid if you like that sort of thing Lees meer

Enjoyed our stay at suites viena. Close to metro, nice park, and within walking distance to the palace. Friendly staff. Laura and Christoph were very helpful and nice. Nearby streets are a little dark and dirty, but there are a few bars and restaurants within a couple blocks. Very very quiet and clean.

The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. The bedbroom was spacious but the bathroom was so small. Probably the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. The surrounding area of the hotel was not very nice. The location was not ideal, a little too far from the major sights.

This 3-star hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The room was big, clean and comfortable (we stayed in a double room.) Air condition was also available in our room - something I specifically wanted to have considering the hot summer weather. The bed was comfortable. WIFI was also for free though we did not use it - we were using the computer and […] free internet at the lobby. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, near 2 metro stations, and not far from some attractions like the Real museums. Also nearby were El Corte Ingles, Zara, Starbucks and the Gran Via where we went to for lunch etc. The room has a kitchen where you can actually cook. We requested cutlery and some utensils which they immediately sent to our room. At the time we were there (July 2011), they had a 50% discount on the buffet breakfast - so it costs EUR6,50 per person and it was a good breakfast. The staff at the reception were very nice, friendly and very helpful. They gave us tips on how to get to some places. I am very pleased and satisfied with our stay there and we will definitely stay in this hotel again should we go to Madrid again. Lees meer

Great hotel in this area, if you like local bars resturaunts and very few tourist,close to all sites and easy to get about the city on cheap, clean and easy to use public transport.

The Suites Viena hotel is Madrid suited our purposes for a stay. While it is not fancy, the room was clean, quiet, and fairly comfortable. Our only complaint for the room was that the we could feel the springs slightly through the mattress. The staff was competent, we found we were able to communicate fairly easily. The surrounding neighborhood was […] not the best, but walked around the area freely, and did not experience any problems. One thing people should be aware of is that if you walk down the block that the hotel is located on, in the direction of the Plaza Espana, and turn left at the first intersection, about two or three blocks up the street on the right hand side is a small plaza with many restaurants. We ate dinner there every night and really enjoyed it. The hotel is conveniently located to the Metro, and you can easily travel to all the different sites in the city. The room and bathroom were of an ample size for comfort. My wife and I travel extensively, and unless we are taking a resort type of vacation, we stay at smaller hotels. Although not the quietest hotel in the early evening, it did quiet up a bit after 10pm. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very helpful. A good place for the price.

Everything was excellent in that hotel, rooms, personnel, breackfast, comfort, wi-fi, very quiet and the best location. I will be back to Madrid and I will stay in the Hotel Viena Suites again and again.

We stayed with my brother for six nights and our experience was great! Since we arrived to the hotel to the check out we felt very comfortable and very welcome. This was our 3rd visit and we have always been impressed by the staff. The Temple of Debod and the Royal Palace/ Opera area are a short walk. Metro and bus routes are close to the hotel

Great value hotel. Good location just off Plaza de Espana but in a quiet road. Easy walking distance to all the main sites. Good size rooms, clean and comfortabe and even a kitchenette (kitchenware needs to be requested from Reception). Would definitely recommend it.

Not too difficult to find and not too far from metro stations; so you can get to popular areas easily. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. We wanted to cook some of our own meals and asked the front desk about utensils. They sent all we needed, including dish detergent and dish cloth, within 10 minutes. Mostly Good--a well-located, immaculate "suite" hotel (more about the "suite" aspect later). Personnel were extremely capable and helpful. Depending upon your perspective, the rooms are either spartan (bare walls, no pictures, bed, lamp tables small desk, two chairs) or international minimalist. But the lighting is good, the wi-fi is free, the location […] quiet, and the king sized bed excellent. It advertises a kitchen, but it's not much use for anything except the most minimal food preparation. There is a small microwave, a double eye stove top and a snack refrig which leaves enough room for milk and not much more. You can get cups/saucers, etc., but you have to request them. If you're into large bathrooms, this is not your place. It's adequate (a good tub and shower), but small even by European standards. Had a great stay at Suites Viena. Basic but clean and comfortable room. Had microwave and two hot plates plus a small sink- ideal for breakfast/snacks. Was close to Placa Espana which some people described as seedy but we disagree. Only complaints I have are 1) I could feel the springs in the mattress and 2) the wifi signal didn't reach our room. Otherwise, it was a nice place in a great location.

It's well located - not right in the centre, but in a great barrio close to cinemas showing English language films, and within a few minutes walk of Grand Via. 5-minutes walk from the metro, but only 45 minues walk from the opposite side of the tourisit city centre - really convenient, rooms were nice and comfortable, and the staff helpful I have already recommended the hotel to others!
