If you are looking for an inn experience with an attached amazing quaint charming restaurant, this is a good bet. however, our room needs some updating and there's no hot tub and breakfast not included, so the value was just ok. mattress on the main bed was too soft, there need to be extra blankets in room and just some basic white sheets. flowery old […] lady sheets wasn't quaint, but well, old lady-ish. but the people couldn't be nicer and we LOVEd the restaurant and the bar and the live music. We were looking for a cozy romantic getaway and the West Dover Inn was the perfect bed and breakfast for us. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The food at the attached 1846 Tavern was amazing.

This historical Inn was wonderful. The family that runs it bent over backwards to fulfil all of our needs. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good fare. We certainly will go back there on our next trip to Vermont.

Phil made us feel very at home and we never got that all over you feel that some B&Bs make you feel. The Tavern had excellent food although I would like a larger selection of beers (but thats me.) The shower was small but other than that I was very happy.

The surprise at this place was the good food!

A wonderful heritage Inn run by a very friendly family, who were most helpful. The meal is the adjoining restaurant was the best I had in 3 weeks in the US. Only area to improve is to provide a queen bed instead of a double.

My husband and I LOVED this place. We were welcomed like old friends, it's charming and warm. My first B&B so I can't compare to much but not our first hotel-I've been in a few hotels that disgusted me- this place is beautifully maintained. Keep in mind it IS from 1846 so it's not all perfect sheetrock and soundproofed everything, it's not as polished […] as a new hotel but it was very clean and well maintained- everything I expected. They just replaced our bed with a foam mattress- I heard on a few reviews that the beds were too hard- I love a soft but supportive mattress-I think this was exactly that- it was not too soft or firm. We were chilly the first night (the room temp- the blankets kept us warm when in bed) but there was a thermostat in the room- I ended up turning it up too high after that so we were warm! My fault entirely. When the heat did come on the pipes do bang but rarely- nothing that disturbed us- nothing at night. We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast-it was the BEST we had our entire stay- I had the goat cheese and asparagus omlette with carmelized onions- SO good! My husband enjoyed his eggs too. The place was packed for dinner Fri & Sat and smelled great- next time we will eat there for dinner. They had live music- just a great vibe overall. Comfy barstools in the bar too! The walls seemed a little thin in our room, but our neighbors were VERY loud. We slept well so I guess they quieted down. I saw the post about the washing machine in the hall- that was gone by Friday night- it's a family run place, people- not a 5 star hotel chain. There were some signs of wear in the bathroom but nothing I would complain about. The location is great- close to SO much- basically on the end of rt 100- three miles from Mt Snow and there is a lot in the area. We missed the parking lot at first- it looks like you are parking at the restaurant only- it's all the same lot. Is not even close to a regular hotel. For the price paid, value is awful. Advertised as Bed & Breakfast, but breakfast not included. They do not have pride in their business, entrance dirty with snow and mud, sliperry and seemed as no one cared. Nothing negative to say. Hosts were helpful, pleasant and very accommodating.

This place has character and the people who run it are very friendly. My room was fine - the mattress was a bit firm but I didn't really understand the complaints others had made about the beds etc. My room was over the road which is quite noisy but I slept like a log - maybe because of the fresh air and a long trip! I wouldn't fancy driving to the […] hotel in the winter unless I had 4 wheel drive - I was coming from North Adams and the trip over the top of the hills was a bit hairy with snow in mid October. The restaurant next door is pretty nice and they were very flexible in finding me a table. The fire in the sitting room makes the place feel very cosy Lees meer

The building is in very poor condition even though it is a very old structure. The drinks and the food were over priced for the quality, don't order the shrimp cocktail! Prepair yourself for a room that has a very uneven floor and bed,the heat is central so you will be sweating all night.Good luck falling asleep.

FOR YEARS MY HUSBAND AND I HAVING BEEN WANTING TO GO TO VERMONT AND WE FINALLY MADE IT!!! WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE WEST DOVER INN, PHIL AND KATHY WERE WONDERFUL AND MADE US FEEL AT HOME! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME, WE TRIED ALOT OF RESTAURANTS THERE AND WE ENJOYED OUR MEAL AT THE WEST DOVER INN THE MOST. Das West Dover Inn liegt am Rande der Green Mountains, prinzipiell also schön gelegen. Allerdings an der Hauptstrasse Rt 100, dadurch recht hoher Geräuschpegel. Zimmer und Bad sind klein bzw. eng, das Bad ist eher eine Zelle. Beide sind ziemlich geschmacklos eingerichtet und ohne Komfort. Zimmer und Bad waren zwar grundsätzlich sauber, aber durch das […] alte und nicht zueinander passende Mobiliar wirkte das Zimmer unrein und billg. Das dazugehörige Restaurant mit Live-Musik können wir hingegen empfehlen. Lees meer
