Ligging.
The Tobacco Hotel ligt in het centrum van Thessaloniki, op loopafstand van Saint Demetrios Church en Church of Panagia Chalkeon. In de buurt liggen ook Aristotelous Square en Church of Hagia Sophia.

Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en verduisterende gordijnen. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer, extra handdoeken/beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.

Very nice hotel, bed was king size but was hard. Breakfast was great. The man on the desk when we arrived was very helpful but the staff after were not so friendly or helpful. We were tied up with a bus and taxi strike and when we enquired about a private transfer to the long distance bus terminal we were told that was not possible.Two staff members […] said we could walk and it would only take 15 minutes.Yes right, it was 4 kilometres dragging our luggage. Not very helpful...Luckily someone not in the hotel told us that there may be some local buses running to the terminal and we were lucky to get on one. We were going to Athens and we rang the hotel in Athens where we would be staying as it was also affected by the strike and they had private transport waiting fo us when we arrived .This is the difference between some hotels. "Pleasant stay in Salonica"
Nice, quiet rooms, air conditioning and clean. Fairly close to public transport or easy walking distance to center (less than 10 mins). Would stay here again.

The hotel was within easy reach of most major sites, extremely easy to find, welcoming, clean and well run. The only lsight drawback was no dedicated parking, but it was easy to find a place on the roadside nearby.

We visited hotel in the summer, when majority of tourists are just passing through Thesaloniki, staying night or two, so I would say out of season... "nice quiet hotel"
only reservation is that the hotel can be a bit difficult to find, as the streets parallel to the aristotle square tend to meander. the hotel is near, although not in right next to most of the major sights. bus stops are long apart, so plan to walk. fine breakfat, accommmodating staff, and computer available in the lobby.

No complaints at all about this hotel. Everything was great -- staff, rooms, lobby, breakfast, etc. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay there again.

"Tobacco Hotel convienient for station and centre"
A hotel is only as good as its staff and this is where Tobacco stood out for us. Receptionist staff have fantastic local knowledge excellent English and had time to help us enjoy the Hotel, the area and the City. Hotel feels small yet had all the facilities needed for a City break - evening meal was not available but recomendations for loacl resturants […] were spot on and unbiased. Otelin yeri bizim icin gayet uygundu. Yurumeyi sevmeyenler icin merkezden uzak olabilir. Otel gayet temiz ve guzeldi. Kahvalti doyurucu idi ancak resepsiyon gorevlileri diger avrupa ulkelerindeki gibi yardimci degillerdi. Sehir ile ilgili bir soru sordugumuzda bastan savma cevap veriyorlardi.

"πολύ κοντά στο κέντρο"
πολύ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό,μου βρήκαν parking άμεσα μόλις έφθασα στο ξενοδοχείο πολύ καθαρό, καλό πρωινό.value for money. Tο μόνο αρνητικό ότι μύριζε τσιγάρο το δωμάτιο.

Το δωμάτιο λιτό αλλά πολύ καθαρό, καινουριες κουρτίνες δωμάτια ανακαινισμένα και το προσωπικό φιλικό. Το μόνο μείον ότι στο σαλόνι δεν είχε χώρο καπνιστών

Όλα στο δωμάτιο και στο ξενοδοχείο ήταν καθαρά, περιποιημένα και καινούρια. Θα το σύστηνα ανεπιφύλακτα και για την καλή εξυπηρέτηση και το αρκετά καλό πρωινό του. Φυσικά για ό,τι παρείχε, η τιμή του ήταν πέραν του δέοντος λογική! Σίγουρα θα το ξαναπροτιμήσω!

Detta anser inte vi att det var ett 4 Star Hotel, men personalen var hjälpsam och trevlig. Frukosten var basic, enkel men OK. Frukosten är inte vad man kan förvänta sig av ett hotel som anger 4 Star.

"ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo"
Difficile trovare di meglio a Salonicco come rapporto qualità prezzo: ocamera spaziosa e curata, buona prima colazione, personale gentile e molto disponibile. La collocazione dell'hotel è abbastanza centrale e volendo si raggiunge il porto e il lungomare a piedi con una breve passeggiata. Raccomandabile.

I was lucky to find an offer on the junior suite of this hotel and has been my most pleasant hotel experience. It had a large room and bathroom and a terrace with some views on the city and the sea (top floor). It was comfortable and nicely furnished, cosy but not luxurious. "Gutes Stadthotel und freundliches Personal"
Das Hotel ist sehr ordentlich, liebevoll geführt und das Frühstücksangebot ist für griech. Verhältnisse sehr gut. Leider kann man die Temperatur nicht regulieren, da die Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet war und im Zimmer waren es gut 25Grad. Da das Zimmer zur Straße lag, war esnicht möglich mit geöffnetem Fenster zu schlafen. Aber wenn man lange genug unterwegs […] ist, dann fällt man halbtot ins Bett und merkt nicht mehr viel vom Straßenlärm und oder Temperaturen. ;-) Lees meer

"Fairly eazy to find"
The hotel was better than expected. Wooden floors in the rooms, spacious, air conditioned. A 10minute walk from the tourist district. Can be a test of your patience because of the traffic chaos wich reigns thessaloniki. Cars are doubleparked everywhere making the crossing of roads hard. Supermarked nearby. Worth every eurocent!
