Comfort Inn Monterey Park in Monterey Park

People are warm and friendly - clean, best value.

Arrived early (10 AM) front desk person was very accomdating letting me check in early. Asked if I needed any directions. Alway spoke to me when I came or went, asking if there was anything I might need. Very clean room and hotel was very quite at all times. Will book again for my next trip in June.

I stayed here because it's close to Alhambra where my grandfather lives and this hotel has been good to us in the past so we continue to stay here. It's nothing special at all and it's cheap to stay here so I have no complaints. I would recommend for people who need to stay here one or two nights. I checked in late also so I had to stay in room 102 […] which is right in the lobby. I didn't hear much noise until the morning when people starting getting breakfast and checking out but I wouldn't recommend staying in this room if you have a choice. Lees meer

The room was small but clean and there are a lot of nice restuarants in the area but the night hotel clerk was not very friendly or helpful. We asked for directions and she pointed us to the computer but failed to give us the password. Then she wouldn't print the directions for us. She was so busy watching her soap operas that she ignored us or gave […] us short responses when we asked for anything. She was actually pretty rude and demanded to know why my sister was there...not sure if she is there all the time but customer service is very important in the hotel business.. Lees meer

Quiet neighborhood, clean room, breakfast above average., helpful staff, but in a room for two people, two chairs would have been appreciated. There was one desk chair and no other seating.

Hotel is clean and the gentleman that works in the morning/afternoon is probably one of the nicest people I've come across.

Good place to stay. Room smell a little. Food ok. Great for price.

The hotel was very clean but the staff were not friendly or helpful at all. I'm not sure what time they served the continental breakfast, but when I left at 6:30, there was not even any coffee available.

When I checked in, the front desk clerk Suaren? was very friendly excepet for the night person. He was not smiling and did not even greeted me good evening. You should do that since you'r ein the service industry right?

I give it five stars overall because good service comfortable stay and reasonable for a a last minute stay .....

The service at this hotel was horrible. We asked for extra towels & they asked US to come get them. The room was clean but small.

The hotel was clean and modern, easy to find. The only negative was that it doesn't seem to have much soundproofing between the rooms, so it was noisy until everyone went to sleep. Breakfast was adequate, but dining area was small when everyone tried to have breakfast at the same time.

It's so clean that the first thing you smell when you enter the lobby is cleaning products. Then you are barely greeted by the man at the counter, I hope I didn't bother him. Small breakfast area I had to wait and then share a table with another couple when one opened up. Small room for a double not much space around the bed.

The breakfast they provided was minimal. The dining room was the size of a large phone booth and has only 3 cart-table sized tables and 11 chairs. There was no room to sit when we try to eat some breakfast. So we skipped the free cereal and went out to eat. The room was also very small. Location, and conditions were nice. Walls were a bit thin but overall very clean

Clean quite and nice service

I like the guy who works here. He was so nice to me. Internet access is kinda high. and Not so expensive to stay here. but There is nothing around this hotel. so I think This hotel is average price. so I don't recommend.

I choose d this hotel, because it stated that near by UCLA, in fact it is quite far, but this is a convenient place to go for Asian food and shopping. Continental breakfast is too simple, even no yogurt to be provided, like every one talked about.

This hotel is new and the condition is good. Don't expect too much about the breadfast.. The location is not on the main street of Monterey Park but not too far away.

The hotel was located in Monterey Park and very close to all the great Chinese food places. It serves a very modest continental breakfast, cereals, milk, coffee and hardboiled eggs. All cold and even the hot water and coffee (luke warm). the good, parking was plentiful and convenient. Smokers heaven. The hotel is for smokers. The rooms are smoking […] rooms so they smell like smoke, the hallways smell like smoke. The AC smell like smoke. The bad, smoking allowed. I wanted to stay close to Monterey Park, so although it said smoking room. I though they must clean it, how bad can it be? Well the room was clean (the hotel was fairly clean) but the smoke smell was suffocating. The front desk lady was actually kind of rude, some one should probably teacher her how to smile. It almost seemed like she was annoyed by me asking questions. Don't expect any service. The bottom line is go if you are a smoker but stay away from this place if you are not. Heed the star ratings on this site. From now on, if I don't see at least 3 stars...it's off my list. Lees meer

It was ok, just for convenient way to travel. Rooms were smaller, the front desk was helpful.

I thought that the lady that checked me in was very rude, cold, and unhelpful. The room was "clean" looking, but it smelled kinda funny, like musty and funky. I didn't bother with the free breakfast. We loved everything about this hotel - our room was huge and clean, breakfast was perfect and the location couldn't have been better. Our only issue was that every day we had to have our room key reset because for whatever reason, it only worked one day at a time. i will not recommend this hotel to anyone. i drive 6hr down to L.A once every two week to see my son, i'm exhausted after the 6hr drive and play with my kid all day at the park. so i have request a check out time at 1pm and the front desk guy goes the least time for check out is at 12pm and that is fine. but the next morning the cleaning lady come and […] knok on your door at 9am. and i say i will check out at 12pm so i go back to sleep, then she come and knok on your door again 10am and 11am. come on what don't they understan that i will chekc out at 12pm. i will not stay in this hotel ever again. The breakfast offering was minimal, other Comfort Inns offered a little more selection for breakfast.
