Super hotel in bruisende wereldstad. Prachtig hotel met mooie kamers van alle gemakken voorzien. Comfortabel, groot king bed. Mooie badkamer met bad & douche met regenshower. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet met variatie uit alle windstreken. Enig minpuntje is dat de bar al om 11 uur dicht was. Verder perfecte service.

Eaton hotel is een goed verzorgd hotel met goede faciliteiten. De ligging in Kowloon is zeer goed om vanaf daar per metro Hongkong en omliggende gebieden te verkennen. Kowloon zelf is absoluut waard om de kleine steegjes met kraampjes te verkennen. De volgende keer ben ik van mening om weer voor Eaton hotel te kiezen.

Afgelopen maart (2012) heb ik met mijn zoon in het Harbor Plaza Resort City geslapen. Het is een prima en schoon hotel. De afstand naar het centrum is een dik half uur. Maar het hotel heeft een shuttle bus. De kosten hiervan zijn ca. 2,50 voor een enkel ritje. Ook vanaf de luchthaven kun je met een shuttle bus van het hotel naar het hotel komen. Kosten hiervan zijn 10,00 euro. Duurt ca. 3 kwartier. Prima geregeld dus. De kamer is schoon en de grootte viel me niet tegen. Goede badkamer met ligbad en douche in het bad. De bedden zijn wel kei hard. Dit hotel is aan te raden maar let wel op de afstand naar het centrum toe. Je gaat niet even snel vanuit het centrum terug naar je hotel en dan weer naar het centrum toe. We kunnen het hotel niet vergelijken, aangezien we voor de eerste maal in Hong Kongen op bezoek gingen; alleszins adembenemend zicht op de haven vanaf onze kamer op de 62e verdieping (hadden gevraagd zo hoog mogelijk te liggen) Ligging in de New Territories, doch wegens aanwezigheid van de werkelijk sublieme metro-lijnen en de goedkope taxi-service geen enkel probleem om alle interessante plaatsen in Hong Kong en Kowloon snel te bereiken; ontbijt nogal Engels-Aziatisch maar dat is begrijpelijk natuurlijk; mooi-ogend design in de badkamer niet altijd praktisch maar voor de rest prima kamer met kluis

goed hotel, eenvoudig te bereiken vanaf vliegveld met shuttle, spreken goed Engels, internet in lobby is snel en gratis, op kamer is wireless voor klein bedrag ook erg goed. Kamers zijn wat klein, maar voorzien van een heerlijke douche.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Zorg dat je het gevoel van het oude Hongkong krijgt. Begin bij de Chinese Central Market (als je wat weekhartig bent, vermijd dan de benedenverdiepingen waar gevogelte wordt geslacht) op de hoek van Queen Victoria Street en banjer rond door de nauwe straatjes waar kruidenhandelaars en andere traditionele winkeliers hun waren uitstallen. Loop 's werelds langste buitenroltrap van 880 meter niet mis. Deze biedt ook een geweldig uitzicht op de wijk.

The Island Pacific Hotel has become my first choice for Hong Kong because it is a very nice hotel at a price that's lower than comparable hotels. The reason for the lower price is likely that it is in a somewhat out of the way location - well beyond the last MTR (subway) stop, and in an area that doesn't have any restaurants of shops that would appeal […] to the typical tourist. "Location is better than you think"
This is an excellent hotel with a lower than normal cost for a hotel in Hong Kong of its caliber due to its location - well beyond the last MTR stop on the west side of Hong Kong Island, and in the midst of a completely non-western neighborhood without restaurants or shopping that would appeal to a tourist. Enjoyed my time at the island pacific. The staff were extremely helpful and it was excellent value for money. Only minor downside is its distance from the metro. There are however plenty of buses as well as the tram.

Stayed for 5 nights. Staff are very welcoming from moment you arrive. Shuttle bus into town all day was refreshingly convenient for getting to ideal locations around HK island. Ordered room service twice which was surprisingly good from a comprehensive menu. Room was spacious by HK standards and bathroom the same. When we arrived first 2 mornings were late and reception kindly rang to inquire if we wished to have the room serviced. We declined first morning and arranged a convenient time the second day. It may be in a very Chinese area but its still only a very short walk to nearest mtr at the Macau ferry terminal. "Chinese New Year"
Overall good VFM - varying day-rates was an eye-opener, the higher rates obviously coincident with the Chinese holiday dates. Eat out - as with most hotels, food and drink prices higher than that available in the high street, yet of poorer quality.

Great deal for Hong Kong but a bit of a trade-off when it comes to location as the hotel is at least a 15 min walk to the subway. Not a lot of activity in the area but there are a few small restaurants and 7-11 style stores and a nice park across the highway with a good view of the city. "A hotel I can recommend."
My stay which lasted 3 weeks was very pleasant. The hotel was clean. Beds comfortable and the security was good. This is my second stay in this hotel which speaks for itself.
"Very nice hotel, but a walk to the MTR"
This is a very nice hotel that has a harbor view from the rooms. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. The only reason that I marked it down at all was that it is a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the closest MTR (subway) station.

Great bargin hotel in Hong Kong. I stayed here with my family for the weekend after spending 2 weeks in China. The front desk staff was very professional, polite and refreshing. I was impressed by how pleasant the check in process was performed. The even gave my daughter a teddy bear at check in, which was a nice touch and made her day. The rooms are […] small and I took up the front desk suggestion to upgrade to a larger room due to having small children with me. The offered several choices and ability to preview rooms if wanted. The hotel has great "noodle" shop around the corner and a few small stores to grab supplies. Next to trolly but 15min walk from subway. Hotel makes up for distance to subway by offering free shuttle drop off to either ferry or main Hong Kong station. A few people warned about spending money on taxi. I personally used their shuttle to get to subway and then used taxi to get back at night. Taxi ride cost me 30 HKD & 2nd night it was 20HKD...cheapest taxi ride I've ever had in my life. The hotel location isn't ideal but free shuttle makes up for it. "Great hotel in old city"
This is a jewel of a hotel. Excellent services and staff. Very courteous and professional. However, the hotel is in old city - which is great if you want to live that charm. For things I wanted to do, I had to always take a HK $20 cab to central from where I could connect to places. But overall, no complaints.

If you go to the hotel from Hongkong International airport, A10 is very good. It takes about 40minutes. very convenient. From the hotel to the shuntak ferry terminal, there is a shuttle bus every 30minutes. It takes about 5 or 10 minutes.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My flight arrived early which I also arrived the hotel way earlier than the check-in time. The room wasn't available at that time but the staff offered me a place where I can have a shower and get dress. By the time I finished, my room was ready! "HK first timers"
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and always very welcoming after a long day out sightseeing. Location is not in the 'touristy' area but the free shuttle services to the central MTR stations are fantastic as the MTR takes you almost anywhere in HK. Plus taxi's are extremely cheap in HK so location isn't too much of an issue. Dining at the […] hotel was very nice as they have extensive buffet lunches and dinners. Excellent service and very courteous staff, and good sized room for a Hong Kong hotel. Location is fine as it is relatively close to Shun Tak Ferry Terminal and Central Building. However, the immediate neighbourhood doesn't have many amenities - the only drawback in my opinion.

Unlike the rest of HK, the staff is extremely courteous. We got the bigger room to allow crib for our baby. The rooms are much smaller than US standards, but it is still comfortable. The hotel is pretty close to the airport, which made coming and leaving very easy. Taxi only cost $350HK which is cheaper than taking train for 3 people. Food around the […] area is pretty good. The location is in an interesting non touristy part of Hong Kong. Not central but the centre can be rached in 10-15 mins using the free shuttle bus and MTR. Service was mixed withe front of house excellent but the pool staff looked bored and disintested and a couple of them didnt have the courtesy to respondto hello. We found it almost impossible to […] order room service as their room service line constantly rung out. On the occasion I was able to order food I found the chicken curry chewy and gristly. It is what it is... A hotel in an OK location on the Island, getting old and a bit jaded. It's VERY 1980's but the hotel is well kept, clean, the staff are helpful and it is pretty good value for money with decent-sized rooms in Hong Kong. "An overnight stay"
I booked this hotel to catch an early morning flight. Did not expect much from the hotel. However, the location of the hotel for getting to the airport is a bit inconvenient. The hotel shuttle bus to airport is not available until much later in the morning, so I had to take a taxi to the Airport Express Train in Central Station.
