Beoordeeld door een gast van Hotels.com op 31 aug, 2012Nette buurt in de omgeving van vele voorzieningen zoals restaurants en mall's. Echter gehorige kamers. Wij hadden een kamer met defect toilet (zelf maar even gerepareerd). Wel schoon en netjes voorzien van kluis en koelkast, etc. Inclusief ontbijt van 6AM tot 10 AM. Wij kwamen om 9AM, maar toen was de helft al op en werd er al opgeruimd. Dat terwijl de zaal nog half vol was en er meerdere mensen kwamen. Oftewel, optijd gaan ontbijten!

Beoordeeld door Petrus J uit "Arnhem" op 9 jan, 2012Dit hotel is duidelijk verouderd, qua afwerking en inrichting (liften, vloer, verwarming, kieren bij de ramen, meubelen, tv). Een enkel onderdeel is vernieuwd zoals een douchecabine, maar dat kan de indruk van een wat oud, versleten hotel niet wegnemen. Het is niet duur, dus voor een student of wetenschapper (voor het nabije UPMC of de universiteit) die geruime tijd moet blijven, of iemand met beperkt budget kan dit een begrijpelijke keuze en afweging zijn. Dus OK. Ook is dit dicht bij het centrum van het aardige stadsdeel Oakland. Het is echter niet zo fraai (lux), en het was ook niet goed schoon (haar in de badkamer) toen we kwamen (pas toen ik dat opmerkte, werd er adequaat, nogmaals schoongemaakt). De mensen waren wel vriendelijk. Aardig is dat men koffie + thee heeft klaarstaan in de hal en ook op de kamer koffiezetapparaat+thee. Er is geen lobby waar men kan zitten of zo, maar leuk is dat er onder het hoter een gezellige betaalbare vestiging van de keten Panera is, waar men kan ontbijten etc. Alle waar naar zijn geld ... Een redelijk en betaalbaar verblijf is er dus zeer wel mogelijk.

Although the hotel is five miles from downtown, the hotel shuttle brings you from the hotel to anywhere in the city and back. Great service. Internet is fast and free and although the rooms are basic, they offer all required services and are well maintained and clean.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our grandaughter was turning 1 so we wanted to have a little party for her and her mom and dad. This was great because we were visiting from out of town and unfamilar with the area. They allowed us to use the beautiful dining area to have food brought in so that we would not have to drag a baby to […] a resturant. The hotel was spotless clean and in fact they were cleaning the carpet just hours before our family came to visit. The breakfast was a real breakfast and was most enjoyable to sit in fron of the fire place to just relax while we ate. The Staff at the front desk is frequently not there but when there helpful. The rooms are as advertised, clean and fairly up to date. The wireless is quick. The bathroom was clean and big. "Clean, comfortable, adequate"
The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the hotel has all the usual conveniences plus a half-sized fridge and a microwave, which is nice.. The rooms are small and it's difficult to walk around if you actually use the pull-out sofa. The TV is positioned so it looks as if it's visible from either the bed or the sofa, which means it's not fully visible […] from either. Breakfast was far below expectations - eggs were made with ham and cheese, and the cheese was congealed into clumps. Sausage was served in a corn-dog style configuration with a pancake, instead of by itself. We were very impressed with the hotel and with the friendly, helpful hotel staff. The buffet breakfast was very good, as well. This hotel is located right next to a very large shopping mall with lots of retailers in the surrounding neighborhood.
