The Arlington, O'Connell Bridge in Dublin

Een hotel met wat oudere uitstraling, wat juist beneden een leuke sfeer had. We hadden een kamer op een stille plek gevraagd en dat hebben we ook gekregen .Het hotel bleek iedere avond een dinnershow te geven.Ondanks de grote groepen,heben wij nooit geluidsoverlast ervaren. De kamer was oke, mistte en kledingkast maar voor de paar dagen was er ruimte […] genoeg. Ligging perfect ,om de hoek O"Conellstreet met Hop on Hop off bus voor de deur en aan de overkant de wijk Temple bar.Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk, maar dit was overal wel in Dublin.Hebben 1 keer ontbijtbuffet genomen, maar deze is zeker een aanrader om erbij te boeken. Verbleef in het hotel met mijn zoon. Receptie zeer behulpzaam. Ontbijt was goed. Kamer was netjes. Algehele indruk van het hotel is dat het er allemaal wat traditioneel uitziet, maar wel goed onderhouden. De plek in Dublin is prima, vlakbij het centrum met goede mogelijkheden om alle kanten van de stad te bereiken. OV in Dublin is uitstekend.

Mooi ouderwets hotel, goed ontbijt. Lekker grote kamer, sanitair was niet geweldig, er leek ergens iets te lekken en dat rook niet zo fris. Temple bar op loopafstand. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Het hotel is heel centraal gelegen, perfect voor het ontdekken van Dublin (wat in drie dagen kan). Wel aan een redelijk drukke weg en boven een grote bar, maar daar heb je geen last van als je niet aan de voorzijde of direct boven de bar een kamer hebt. Een beetje onpersoonlijk is het hotel wel, niet dat het zo groot is, maar door de entree (een lange […] gang) en het gemis van een lobby en de doorsnee kamer ben je het hotel na een dag alweer vergeten. Great Hotel, Great Bar

This hotel is right on the river and a two minute walk to O'Connell Bridge - great location for walking to Trinity or up O'Connell street, and the airport bus drop-off/pick up point is up O'Connell about 3 blocks. In sum, it's really an ideal location. The room I stayed in was a bit gloomy and dingy, though there was no obvious lack of cleanliness. […] The bed was not terribly comfortable, and the shower handle was missing (though still operational). This hotel is nicely located across the Liffey from Temple Bar -- very near everything, but not right in it. The desk staff were helpful, the bar was enjoyable. We had almost booked a Hilton (points...); I'm glad we didn't and instead chose something more independent and more European than American. Excellent hotel for short term tourist stays, but not advisable for business travel. The rooms are good, however, you cannot leave windows open. To be front and side there is a great deal of traffic / pedestrian noise. At the back there is a huge air-conditioning unit. Our first impression of The Arlington, with it's location on a main one way street with an obsene amount of city traffic and directly in front of a bus stop (so no parking there while you check in), was not so good. But then my husband ran in to see where we could put our vehicle and returned with this little lady who ran out with him to our car and […] grabbed all our luggage!! And then she explained how we get to the parking garage (which added $20 after the discount, only disappointing surprise about this place). I have never been to a hotel that gave as top notch customer service as this team exuded. When we couldn't find the garage, the lady insisted that the bell boy ride in our car to lead us to it! The staff was eager to help and very thoughtful with recommendations on anything we asked help with. Also we stayed on the 8th floor and the bar downstairs didnt keep us up at all. We needed ear plugs at a previous hotel with a bar below and were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely stay here again. Lees meer

Good hotel to stay - right in the centre of Dublin. You can get bus pretty much anywhere from O'Connell St and it is walking distance to most attractions. The hotel is busy and has live music each night so it's not really ideal for a quiet break. But its perfect for a weekend of taking in the sights or drinks in Temple Bar, which is just over the bridge. […] Only minor note was the water being cold one, night, which turned into a bit of fiasco trying to use a room on another floor with hot water. This Hotel cannot be faulted, Our Room was truly excellent with a lovely view over the River. the location of the Hotel is as Central as you can get, however the best thing about the Hotel were the Staff. Mags and Gillian at the Front Desk ensured that my trip was memorable for my young Daughter and Carmel and Helen at Breakfast were as helpful and […] friendly as could be possible. Good hotel, located in the heart of Dublin. Decor is a bit tired and dated, but it is comfortable and the staff are very friendly.

Good and polite staff. I lived on the third floor which allowed me to get a good nights sleep. The bar, performance and disco did not bother me at all. The food that was served in the restaurant wasn't a cullinary experience, however, it was ok. All the pros, the location is perfect, adds up to a good experience.

If you want to sleep, don't stay here. Unending street & bar noise, even several floors up. Dirty, unkempt room.

Took my wife to Dublin for a short break and decided to stay in the Arlington. The hotel is in a great location (right by the River Liffy/centre of town), the service and food were also very good. The hotel is famous for its dance/music show which is definitely worth seeing. Overall great value/great location-would stay there again.

We had a really great time staying at The Arlington, we had no complaints of any substance. The Dinner / Show was a great success and great value for money. The Hop on Hop off bus just outside the door was very convenient, we'll be back.

This hotel was fantastic. Perfect location, less than a 5 minute walk to the Temple Bar area. Room was very comfortable and great value for money. Comes very highly recommended!

Great hotel with very helpful staff and an excellent location. Hotel wifi was not working but they gave me a dongle free of charge. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Right across river from Temple Bar district, also has it's own very cool bar with wonderful atmosphere. Live music and irish dancers every night. Rooms smaller sized but very clean and modern. Staff very helpful. right in the middle of everything important to see in Dublin, no walk more than 10-15 minutes. Don't have them call you a cab to get to airport, […] cabbies tack on 10 euros to pick you up. just wait outside hotel no matter the hour, cabs to hail every few minutes. About 25 euros to airport. Easy to see city centre as you go out of Hotel

I stayed at the Arlington this past week while I was dropping my daughter off at Trinity College. The hotel is a large pub crowed to capacity every night, with 130+ rooms on the 3 floors above the lobby. The location is very convenient, and Dublin is a very walkable historic city. The room was fairly large, clean, and being on the 3rd floor minimized […] noise from the Pub. The TV only has a handful of channels borrowed from the 1950's USA, so your entertainment will be going out in the Pubs. There was no internet in the rooms, but wifi is available in the lobby. This is close to a deal breaker for me, but hopefully the management will fix this issue soon. Overall, a good value. If they fix the internet, I would recommend it to others. Lees meer

The Arlington is in a great central location and the atmosphere in the bar downstairs in the evening was fab, but the room was very basic and walls VERY thin, so could hear everything going on in neighbouring rooms (I'll spare you the details) from early morning to late at night. Also most of the plug sockets were loose on the walls (got a few zaps […] when trying to plug in hairdryer which eventually blew the fuse!). Worth it for the location, but if you're staying as a family with small children I'd look for somewhere a bit quieter. Lees meer

This hotel has all three...nothing else too special, but a good mid-range option. The evening entertainment did add an extra value.

It was very clean and comfortable. Walkable distance from shops and buses. I stayed in a room close to the staircase, so was a bit noisy if some one was walking up or down it. There was no WiFi internet in the room. WiFi was only available in their Lobby on the ground floor. This was a big let down for me. Otherwise it was good to stay.

A wonderful hotel with a friendly courtious staff and a great pub next door.Right in the heart of the city.They even had a smoking room for me! Highly recommended and thinking I will stay there with my friends next yeay.Can,t say anything buut an excellent place to stay.This hotel is A+ in my book! Jack

Hotel in need of decorating and upgrading. Staff pleasant enough although housekeeping knocking the door at 9am on morning of checkout eager to clean room not acceptabl. Location of room above night club a risk you taking when booking deals but will make me wary of booking hotel again.

Great place to stay in Dublin! Great location and a hard-working helpful staff. Full Irish breakfast available and wonderful traditional Irish music and dancing. Very reasonable rate for peak summer season too. I would highly recommend the Arlington Bachelor's Walk in Dublin.

Good location, however I depend on internet and it didn't work for our entire 5 day stay. I inquired at the desk and they didn't have any idea when it would be working and when I asked a second time the next day they responded very rudely that they still didn't know. The hotel was in a poor state of repair and our room (2nd floor) overlooked all the […] equipment on the roof of the 1st floor which ran 24/7 and kept waking us up at night. Check in time was 2pm and the room wasn't ready. The bar was old and quaint and had entertainment some nights (singers and Irish Dancers) without having to pay the high price of dinner in the resturant. Arlington Hotel is close to everything you need to see or experience in the city. The hotel is very easy to get to from airport using Airlink 747. The room is big enough, but the shower is very small! You can barely move inside. There is no place to leave your tooth brush and tooth paste in the bathroom. There is no refrigerator and the TV has only […] a few stations (but who needs TV in Dublin!). It is kind of noisy, but you get use to it, especially after a few pints at the bar. There is a show every night and you don't have to buy dinner to watch it. Grab your beer or just get in and watch the show. A very nice show, I liked it! And then there is a band and a DJ. You won't be disappointed if you're looking for entertainment in the evening and/or night. We didn't try the breakfast there, but there are a lot of places that serve full Irish breakfast for less. All in all it is a good hotel, friendly staff, helpful, an excellent location and lots of fun. Lees meer

I really enjoyed my stay in Dublin. Also the stay in this hotel. If you ask, they give you a more silent room, which is not directly in front of the hotel near street. So i slept very good there. Would choose this hotel again! thx.

location was the best thing about this hotel, right in the heart of downtown Dublin, right on the river. and although the parking garage is very cramp at least we were able to find a spot and there was no charge. the only significant problem we encountered was the internet service was on the blink in our room for the entire 2 days we were there, however, […] internet wifi did work in the lobby area so we were not completely cut off. the service was overall pretty good. they were kind enough to let me keep the car in the garage for a couple hours more after we checked out so we could go out and have lunch before driving off. The Arlington is a very affordable hotel that puts you right in the middle of old Dublin. The hotel has a nostalgic Irish flare with a very large pub and restaurant downstairs. All the sights and nightlife district are right out your front door. There is parking in the hotel basement and a huge buffet in the hotel restaurant in the morning. - No air conditioning made for a sweaty sleep. Our check-in was rushed, leaving lots of room for questions later. + Big comfy bed with lots of pillows of varying firmness. Great location and yet not noisy in our interior facing room. Good value for money spent.
