This hotel is great. I they had pool and larger gym then it would be perfect. We stayed at the Liberty for a quick 2-day visit to Boston and thought this hotel was fantastic. Be sure to watch the history of the conversion from Jail to luxury hotel on the TV in your room! Our main mode of transportation was the subway and this location was perfect - right across the street from a RED line stop. The staff was totally unaccommodating about the fact that they had a huge techno party with extremely loud music in the lobby that went on til 2AM. It sounded like a nightclub in my hotel room. I usually stay at the Westin or W and thought I would try this luxury collection hotel from SPG...the lobby is pretty impressive as it was once an old jailhouse but that's about it. For starters, this is an old jail. And the builders actually kept the original architecture of the jail! The bars and restaurant are all themed - Clink, Alibi, the Yard. "Amazing Time"
The staff was very informative of the area and super nice! I loved that we were right on Charles St. which took you to Beacon Hill and to the Freedom trail! I love how much history the hotel has! "Details"

"Great location, plenty to see"
Fun hotel and lively at the weekend; did not disturb me though. Room was lovely with view over the river. The facilities were great, including a proper hairdryer and separate bath and shower. The staff were friendly. Would have liked coffee making facilities and discovered close to end of stay that these are available on request.
