Breakers Motel Morro Bay in Morro Bay

Bij aankomst was de receptioniste niet meteen de vriendelijkste. De volgende ochtend bij het ontbijt was het iemand anders en die was wel vriendelijk :) Kamer was zeer proper, badkamer ook. We have stayed here before and will continue to stay here when in Morro bay.

We were on the ground floor and could not see the ocean as I was led to believe from the ad. I had asked about a different room higher up and the clerk was very rude. The door to the room was sliding glass and it was hard to remove the key. We needed the clerk to help us with the key. She was rude again. Also, everyone could see you from the parking […] lot if you left the drapes open. The reclliner in the room was worn and when you sat in it you felt like you would hit bottom, Pool was closed. I really felt like some of these would have been minor if we would have had someone who really cared if we were their guests or not. Will not reccomend or stay there again, Lees meer

When I made the reservation, the person with the heavy accent told me I could bring a pet under 20 pounds. I got the phone number of the motel from the Chamber in Morro Bay and talked to the hotel directly-they informed me that they are very NOT pet friendly. After speaking with my wife she said she did not care to go to Morro Bay. The "breakfast" […] is very continental but sufficient with juice, rolls ,, toast, and coffe. I am becoming more picky in where we stay the older i get and was a little nervous about choosing this hotel based on the star rating. The hotel was very affordable and worth it. As i said, the rooms were clean and neat and pretty decent. The problems that you should know about are failry minor but noteworthy. The chairs in the room were very old and a little scary to sit in. They didnt feel clean and i sunk almost all the way to the floor when i sat in it. We spent the weekend sitting on the bed or using some of the outdoor chairs to sit in. The contenental breakfast was definetly a joke. They only left out enough stuff for one person and had to constantly refill the area. They put out some danish, muffins and bread. There was also coffee and some juice, but it was always empty when i tried to get some. The other thing with that is that the office is closed until 9am. So the breakfast doesnt even begin until then, and then you have tons of people trying to get to it at the same time. With the office being closed, we were also unable to get extra towels that we needed. The staff was nice, but seemed confused too often. I was thoroughly pleased with this charming older classic motel. It was clean, comfortable and the additional freestanding sink and vanity outside the bathroom is a great idea. We really enjoyed the chiminea style fireplace and the location just above the center of the Embarcadero was perfect. Cool, older hotel with 1970's charm. Small room, located near the harbor with excellent views and access to restaurants, etc. Friendly, pleasant front-counter staff. My room needed a little maintenance, espcially the sink, shower area, but it's an older motel. Overall, the room itself was OK. Had an issue that it was a non-smoking room, but linens […] had slight tobacco smoke smell that was just enough to annoy me when trying to go to sleep. Basic motel with a great location, close to the action. You can walk to everything. The room had a small fridge and a microwave. The decor is from the 80's but everything was comfortable to me. The room was clean, but the sink needed a deeper cleaning as the base of the bathroom faucet needed revealed a slight green color from mold or something... not […] to worry it didnt spoil the room. I paid the much higher weekend rate, but the same 3rd story(you get the best view) you can get very cheap during the week. Great veiws, except for the gigantic powerplant that no one tells you about!(you can see the power plant towers from EVERYWHERE in town) Great hotel I would stay again. Lees meer

After reading many reviews on hotel.com I had a higher expectation of this place, and maybe that's why I was so disappointed. When we arrived the first thing I did was jump on the bed to relax a bit after drivng for three hours, to my surprise, the bed seems like it was from the Flintstones --hard as a rock. Then I went to use the shower and it knob […] of the shower was broken. I called the front desk and they did give me another room so that was good service from their part. The location is great. In less than the few blocks you'll find all the shops and bars, and the view of bay is dreamy. After a great day at the bay I decided to give the rock-hard bed a try and I actually fell asleep, until I was awoken at 5AM by loud screams of a woman. Our neighbors were having sex and we could hear everything. Unless you're into listening to others have sex, I don't see how it could have been a pleasant experience for anyone. Overall, my rating reflect on my experience. Maybe I got the rooms with the hard beds and the other rooms are fine. Maybe if you go you won't have to listen to someone else doing-it. Maybe you'll just enjoy the perfect location to the bay and have a great time. Lees meer

The room had a great view, was centrally located, and very clean. I would gladly book a stay there anytime I am in the area.

Park your car. You won't need it. Close to the Embarcadero and right across the street from the finest restaurant in Morro Bay, and perhaps the Central Coat of CA. Wood burning fireplaces only on third floor. Duraflame only. "Continental Breakfast" is a joke. Location is fabulous. Floors 2-3 offer spectacular views. Don't accept a room on first floor. Had […] little interaction with staff, but when approached were more than friendly. Pool was closed in winter which was not a problem, but might be with a family. Room was oddly organized, but worked out well. I would recommend it without reservation, except to those folks desiring a "hearty" breakfast. Plenty of free parking and the wireless Internet worked flawlessly, even though we had the rain storm of the century while staying there. A+ stay in every way!!

It was across the street from the stairs leading to the Embarcadero's shops and retaurants. Everything was pleasant; the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great view of the Bay! Wonderful service, we asked for extra pillows and towels and the desk clerk brought them within minutes!.

The main entrance was a sliding glass door, which gave a great view of the rock & good lighting during the day. We just had to close the curtains for privacy or at bedtime. Everything was within walking distance (farmer's market Staurday, restaurants by the water, local shops, etc.). It was a great one-night stay for our first year anniversary & a little […] weekend getaway! As long as you're not high-maintenance, you'll like it; small, simple room but very clean. Staff is not friendly at all. The beds are firm. The location is pretty central although may be a little confusing because of dead ends. It is down the block from the local bars. I would stay at a different hotel.

The room I stayed in was on the bottom floor and we had constant noise from above us and around us in the other rooms. I think you should enforce a sound rule that after a certain time each night noise should be non-existent. Your other customers were very rude and it would be for this reason why I would hesitate to tell anyone else's about Breaker […] s. Lees meer

I was joined by my son from Southern Calif. at this hotel.We had a great visit to the area. Breakers was not a bad place at all! For the value we had everything that we needed! The pool and spa were maintained adequately and staff were very friendly.

Staff worked with us to accommodate an early arrival, even on a holiday weekend. Thank you!

Great hotel very comfy and centrally located to all the restaurants and our favorite pub/restaurant The Otter Rock Cafe. Great music! The street Fair was fantastic and only 2 blocks away. The room was good size and had all that you need.

My friend and I were pleasantly suprised by this wonderful little motel. The location is fantastic, the owners are lovely and the views and prices great! Morro Bay is a wonderful vacation spot and should be enjoyed from the comfort of the Breakers Motel.

This is a charming and clean place located in the perfect spot. Just across the street from Dorn's which serves excellent meals for dinner and breakfast and just a short stroll to the embarcadero. Only complaint was that the beds in our room were so soft that we suffered from back pain most of the time. Although it is a convenient location, don't be fooled by their "continental breakfast". Some coffee and individually-wrapped danish from a big box grocery store is not my idea of "breakfast". There are lots of other hotels that are just as convenient and we will stay at one of them next time. Billigt och helt funktionellt för övernattning. Mysigt område nära hamnen och restauranger. Lätt att hitta till från motorvägen. Frukosten var inte så speciell, kaffe men ingen mjölk, bara vitt bröd. Prisvärt.

Etwas in der Höhe gelegen, ca 5. Automin. weg von der Beach. Sauber gute Infrastruktur, Pool, Parking etc. Frühstück gut!

Vi hadde kjørt en god stund langs PCH og gledet oss til å slappe av i et flott rom. Trodde vi etter hva vi betalte. Fryktelig dyrt, elendig kvalitet og støvete og slitt. Lå nære havet - det var vel det som gjorde prisen ekstrem dyr. Styr unna

Trevligt motell i det överaskande trevliga och vänliga Morro Bay.

Die Lage ist super, nah am Wasser und zum Zentrum nur wenige Gehminuten. Leider hat sich der Nebel nicht so schnell verzogen, sonst hätten wir bestimmt unser Frühstück sogar mit Meerblick genießen können. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, hatte alles , was man braucht. Genau richtig für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt - wir würden wiederkommen!
