Beoordeeld door een gast van Hotels.com op 15 dec, 2012Prima hotel. Een authentiek gebouw, mooi opgeknapt van binnen. Kamer Brewser, had prima bedden, mooie badkamer, koffie/thee faciliteiten en tv. Kamer is niet supergroot, maar om er te slapen is het prima. Goede en lekkere ontbijtkeuze. Aardige beheerder. En last but not least het ligt pal in het centrum, mooier kan niet 50 m van de kathedraal en tussen de winkels. Tip:zet je auto bij park en ride ( 2,50 pound p dag). Bussen rijden op en neer. In het centrum mag je maar 12 uur staan en is duur.

I loved the antiquity of the building, made me feel like I was back in the 20'a or 30's. Nice room, large bath, quiet and across street from the Channel. "It is ok for one night."
I stayed here due to a friend having a party in the function room at the hotel. The rooms are very dated. There was a huge water stain on our bedroom ceiling. The major problem is when getting ready for the party we wanted a bath but there was no hot water in the evening or the next day. The hotel has a very tired appearance and is in need of some attention to detail. Rate appeared good until we found out it did not include breakfast. Ok, the hotel is not expensive but the room I had was 'tired', to say the least. It definitely does not deserve any more than it's current rating.The management seem to be totally amateur,unwelcoming and almost aloof. We were very disappointed to find no food service (only when they had coach parties in,even when I discovered the Hotel was full! Breakfast (full English) was offered at an extra cost of £7.00per head & when requesting […] just Croissants,butter & jam it was still going to be £14.00 per couple!! The room was adequate for a one night stay but the mattress was not very comfortable so was not a very good nights sleep.There is not much more to say, only that we could not honestly recommend it to friends or family. The hotel is old, very run down and far away from former glory. The paint was getting off the walls on the very very small bathroom. But rooms and beds were very clean. Cet hôtel est idéal pour un court séjour de quelques nuits pour ensuite rayonner et découvrir la région. Chambre spacieuse et propre, et si on a la chance d'avoir une chambre en façade, la vue sur la mer est splendide. On sent que l'hôtel a perdu de sa splendeur d'antan, mais il est très bien entretenu. Certes l'ensemble manque un peu de luminosité […] mais pour le prix, il est imbattable vu sa superbe situation.
