This hotel offers very basic accommodations: rooms are tiny, bathrooms are shared (and are few, considering the number of rooms, so you may well end up waiting either for a shower or the less glorious bathroom activities). On the plus side, most of the staff speaks English quite well and all are friendly and helpful. The hotel is an old concrete building […] with nothing to stop the echoes of voices and footseps, or to diminish the reverberations of closing doors, so it can be a noisy place: this is entirely dependent on who happens to be staying there at the time, and of how respectful (or not) they are of other guests. The location itself is not a “destination,” but is a decent place for accessing tourist destinations such as Sorrento or the Amalfi coast (provided that the road isn't closed due to construction, as it was the entire time we were here). Also, within Sant Agnello and near to the hotel are some fun sites, spectacular views, and public walkways/caves leading down to the shore, where there aren't any beaches but there are some nice swimming holes. If you like to spend your getaways in the hotel, this place is not for you. If you're looking for a place to store you stuff while you're out-and-about then lay your head at night, it's a decent option (but note: there are many options in this area) Lees meer

Great location. We were they in the off season, so finding a place to eat was a bit trying but easy walk to lots of places. Plain rooms but clean. We had a room with an internal bathroom and worked great for a relaxing place. We ended up with a great view of the bay. Typical European shower, wouldn't recommend to a large person.

we had to get a cab at 530 in am to catch a bus for Rome;If we have stayed in Sollerno, then a short walk would have been ok at that time of the morning. our experience overall was good. the staff are great. i hope they are treated well because they are a huge asset. the views from the surrounding area are spectacular. my mistake, i thought it was in sorrento, a little ways from. definitely good value. was kinda cool that it is a 500 year old convent still owned by the church.

Loved the location, great breakfast, the view made me want to stay.

I chose this hotel for three nights to experience the coast as well as for a base camp to visit Pompeii/Vesuvius and Capri. A former monastery, the hotel on the outside has a quaint secluded feeling (garden terrace with tables) but on the inside feels a bit institutional (not in a bad way). There are common areas (and even a bar) where we saw several […] people playing board games and hanging out. There are two computers for general use and the front desk was helpful with figuring out bus directions to Sorrento, etc. The location was ideal (one drawback in that it was a bit of a walk from the train station with our bags but without bags it was lovely). We took the same train (it's the local Circumvesuvia line which runs from Naples to Sorrento) to get straight to Pompei. The town itself has all the shops you would need and it's about a twenty minute walk to Sorrento (we chose to walk rather than take the bus). From Sorrento you can catch boats to Capri/Naples/etc. Best of all, is that the location is one house back from the coast (cliff) so you can watch beautiful sunsets and two blocks down is the path down to the free beach (there's also a pay beach if you feel like being fancy and having a chair) where you can lounge in the Mediterranean and take in all the beautiful coastal scenery. Sant'Agnello is a much quainter town with many fewer tourists than Sorrento but still accessible to Sorrento. Would definitely stay here again if I return to the region. Lees meer

I stayed here two days and then at their alternate hotel "The Secret Garden" nearby for another 2 days due to a scheduling error. Both were very nice, affordable and a comfortable place to rest. Locations were good and I would surely go back there.

Very basic accommodation. Common bathroom for whole floor has its disadvantages. Breakfast OK except for coffee, which was rather terrible. Staff very friendly.

First of all, the hotel was right next to an absolutely stunning view of the sea and the surrounding jagged cliffs for a good price. The hotel personnel was also very helpful in everything we needed to know. The room was very clean and well-maintained and the air conditioning felt so good after a long day. This place is a dump. The pictures are VERY misleading. The room we had was very bad....it did not look anything like the pictures! The room had a shared external bathroom. The views of the mountain and the sea are not from the hotel but rather in front of another hotel around the corner. This was a horrible experience. Almost no staff available except […] by phone and there was no phone in the room. Also, when we asked about a hairdryer...they said they would look for one. This hotel / B&B was great for the money we paid. The room and ensuite was adequate and there were tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was nice and there was a variety: ham, salami, cheese, bread, preseves, croissants, cakes and pasteries, yogurts and cereals. The staff are also friendly and give information about the area on arrival and […] answer any questions helpfully. There is a bus stop not far from the accomodation with regular buses to Sorrento and the tickets are valid for 180 minutes after validation on the bus so it is possible to use more than one bus/train in that time. The town is one way so the bus goes to Sorrento and then back round near the train station then to the hotel. It is not possible to go from the hotel to the train station without going to Sorrento first, therefore it is easier to get a train from Sorrento for travelling. Upon arriving at the train staion at S'Agnello, we wanted to get a bus to near out hotel but the staff at the station did not know anything about buses. We later found out that there is a bus stop accross the road from the station but you have to buy the ticket from a shop/bar first. Overall, we had a nice stay and there were nice views near the accomodation of the sea. The restaurant near overlooking the sea is really good as well as another restaurant in the town called Moonlight. Lees meer

We were very pleased with the great location, great views near the hotel, a tranquil spot, nice restaurants near at hand. Train stop before Sorrento, Sant Agnello and downhill walk, 10 mins to Hotel. One complaint - I could not understand why they could not get their computer up and running during a 7 day stay.

We really enjoyed this location. While there were plenty of tourists the little town was pretty quiet, easy to navigate, and had a great view of the sea. The train station (used to get to Sorrento or Naples or anywhere in between) is within walking distance as are several restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel was clean and actually offered free […] wifi and computer use which was fantastic. While it was basic with a shared bathroom, everything was very clean and comfortable. I am glad to have stayed at the Domus Porto Salvo. It was as described by the many other guests and i especially liked the clean rooms (serviced daily), the modern, renovated bathroom. Free internet use (difficult to find when travelling!) and close proximity to Sorrento. Having nearby restaurants was also a big plus especially as we didn't lose on […] quality and selection. Our room had a nice view over the sea. The hotel staff is friendly and the location is fine. I would recommend the hotel to people who don't mind staying in a small town near Sorrento. There is free wifi and two computers are available. There is also a parking (free) and nice terrace. However there are some clear drawbacks that should (and can be easily) […] addressed by the staff: 1. Our room had only a white curtain, which in principle means "no curtain". Since there is street light our room was very bright and we had to make our own construction with bed sheets to make the room dark at night and in the morning. 2. The noise: The hotel is an old monastery and there are long corridors. Every little sound is heard over a long distance. The staff should do more effort to ask from the guests to be quiet when closing doors or walking through the corridor. They could also put carpet in the corridor to dampen the sound. One morning the cleaning lady was cleaning something in the corridor, the noise she made woke us up. Domus Porto Salvo proved to be a refreshing experience. A former monastery, it sits in the midst of several 4 star hotels at a fraction of the cost. Once we learned its exact location in Sant' Agnello we found it to be ideal. We took the train from Naples to Sant' Agnello and then walked about ten minutes down towards the ocean to the hotel. The attendants […] gave us a warm, friendly greeting and were always helpful. We borrowed bikes from the hotel and rode around the village. We ate dinner at nearby hotels and restaurants. Sorrento is about 10 minutes away and easily accessible by bus or train. The cost is minimal. The 'C' bus into Sorrento picks up in front of the Mediterraneo Hotel (a block away). We easily visited Pompei by train and took the "Hop on Hop off" tour around the coastline. Our room at Porto Salvo was quite satisfying, the breakfast was pleasant, and the surroundings were wonderful. There were 2 computers available for use or wifi within the sitting areas if you have your own laptop. If you are looking for a pleasant getaway on limited funds this hotel can certainly supply your needs. Lees meer

hotel is very clean, staff friendly and helpful and people on reception could speak English. Room was air conditioned, which was great. The hotel is actually in Sant Agnello on the outskirts of Sorrento so anyone travelling by train should get off at the stop before Sorrento (coming from Naples)

This old Abbey was the best value for money I have experienced. A fantastic position on the clifftop. Quiet and a real retreat from the heat. So much room to relax and enjoy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Porto Salvo. The walk from the train station to the hotel down the little Italian roads was so enjoyable. The staff were really nice, breakfast was good and we had access to computers and internet. Make sure to eat some oranges from the area...the juiciest and sweetest oranges ever! The only negative part of our trip to […] the area was in the Naples train station on the way to area....we had our wallet stolen by a pick pocket. Although we knew that this was common and we were really careful...pick pockets are really good there. We also suspect that the pick pocket had the help of the people who were selling the tickets, so please watch for any seedy characters hanging out around the ticket window. Lees meer

We finished our holiday with five nights at Porto Salvo - what a great way to relax at the end of a busy holiday in Italy! The hotel is in a great location, outside of Sorrento main town centre in the lovely little town of St. Agnello (Sorrento is the next stop on the train or you can walk there in 25 mins). We didn't actually go into Sorrento in […] the evenings though as there are lovely restaurants and places to have a cocktail in St. Agnello itself. Our favourite was Al Solito Posto on Via M. Crawford - friendly staff and amazing pizza! Also fantastic value for money. There is also a great bar overlooking the sea. The hotel itself is clean, quiet and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are lovely and help you organise trips and transport. Breakfast is served until 9.30am and there is a lot of choice. If we went back to this part of Italy (make that when, not if actually!) we would definitely stay in this hotel again. Lees meer

Vi var där i mars, därav väldigt lite hotellgäster. Frukosten var bedrövlig, vi hade ändå läst oss till att det skulle vara bra frukost när vi valde just detta hotell. T e x fanns det inget bröd en dag, inga grönsaker och kaffet var ej drickbart. Juicen var blaskig och det fanns knappt något alls att äta.

Personale molto gentile,colazione super,stanza spartana,location non ottima poiche' Sorrento dista 3km circa e una passaeggiata mi sembrerebbe eccessiva,prezzi ottimi in base ai servizi.Felice di aver scelto quest'Hotel.

l'hôtel est bien, a 40 min a pied du centre de sorrente mais une ligne de bus (C) passe toutes les 20 min à 70m de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner simple mais suffisant.

A relaxing place with a character (as a former monastery), certainly far superior to the numerous other Sorrento hotels, apartment block like, of the same tourist category. Helpful personnel, ample common areas, fair breakfast, splendid surroundings, neat details, clean overall with modernized utilities. On the downside: bed-sheets have not been changed […] for five nights, rather poor room service (bed roughly laid), some problems with the common bathroom. Hôtel joli et agréable. il est bien situé: accès facile à Sorrento à pied, à la gare pour visiter Naples et Pompéi, proche de la cote Amalfitaine et de Capri. Chambres confortables et sortant de l'ordianires (ancien monastère); dommage que celle face à la mer n'aie pas de double vitrage pour le bruit. Personnel très gentil et serviable.

Ligger fint nära havet med närhet till badplats (kaj) om man blir överhettad. Lite lugnare än att bo mitt i smeten, tyst och skönt när man ska sova, och ändå gångavständ till allt i stan och stationen. Romantisk sval miljö. Stora utrymmen att umgås med andra i. Pigg receptionist (ägaren) med god engelska som vi hörde dela med sig av sina personliga […] tips för att uppleva orten på bästa sätt. B&B med standard som hotell. Rent och enkelt boende. Allt fungerade utom TV där vi varken fick ordentlig bild eller ljud. Mycket tjänstvillig receptionist med tips och service. Hade egen toa med alla bekvämligheter (obs, får bokas) Enkel frukostbuffe med allt man kan önska. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta billiga, enkla men ändå fullt OK B&B. Smuk beliggenhed.Rolig og god atmosfære. Dejligt med frit intenet. God morgenmad. Billigt med god veluta for pengene.

Vom Bahnhof ca. 15 Minuten Gehzeit, ins Zentrum von Sorrent ca. 30 Minuten (Straße). Das ehemalige Kloster bietet siche im Sommer angenehme Kühle, jedoch Anfang März waren sowohl die Zimmer als auch der schöne Aufenthaltsraum sehr kalt, so daß es am angenehmsten im Bett war.

J'ai bien aimé l'aspect de l'hôtel plutôt sobre et de bon goût. Mais nous avons été très dérangés par les bruits des voisins, sans qu'ils soient vraiment embêtants. On entend toutes les conversations, les sons de réveil, les portes qui se ferment... Moi même, j'ai eu du mal à fermer ou ouvrir la porte sans faire des bruits, car le gros porte-clé se […] tapait facilement sur la porte et cela retentissait partout... Le jus de fruit était très sirupeux (mais c'est comme ça partout en Italie ?), l'eau de douche pas assez chaude le soir. C'est dommage car le personnel est plutôt accueillant. Lees meer

Hotellet ligger i et rolig område med en fantastisk utsikt over Sorrentobukta. Det er kort vei til stranda og ikke mer enn ca 15 min å gå til San Agnellos sentrum. Noe lengre til Sorrrento, men fint å gå hvis du har tid, hvis ikke, er det en holdeplass rett ved hotellet. Plasseringen er et godt utgangspunkt fro reiser til Pompei, Napoli, Capri m.m.

Buen hotel para estar de paso o pocos dias... Barato, comodo, limpio y bien atendido...

+Erittäin hyvä hinta-laatusuhde, todella ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta (ja kielitaitoinen, ei mikään itsestään selvyys!) Siisti, kodikas, ilmainen internet, puutarha ja oleskeluhuone. -Hieman kovat sängyt, suppeahko aamupala, pyysimme parisänkyä mutta saimme kahden erillisen vuoteen huoneen

El hotel es recomendable. Habitaciones limpias y buenas vistas. El desayuno es muy FLOJO. Dicho comedor está lleno de máquinas y desayunas con un ruido atronador de motores. No hay fruta, ni zumos naturales, ni café expreso. El servicio de recepción es bueno, cuando hay, ya que te dan las llaves y se marchan, por lo que por las noches no hay ningún […] responsable. tidligere kloster, med udsigt til Vesuv. Tæt på badestrand. meget rolige omgivelser.

Super nice cosy rooms, very very kind and friendly staff. Super good parking. Everything was nice and tidy - the aircon worked perfect, the shared bath was clean and nice. Really really good value for money. The breakfest was good - not all typical Italian - with a large selection of food. A good buffet. I am defenetly going to stay yhere again.

Porto Salvo er et tidligere kappuccinerkloster med smuk, rustik indretning, smagfuldt indrettede og rummelige fællesrum, charmerende have, udmærket morgenmad og venligt og imødekommende personale. Stedet ligger ved kysten med smuk solnedgang til aftenturen (og fra mange af værelserne en smuk udsigt udover Sorrento-bugten), ca. ½ times gang fra Sorrento […] (som dog er meget turistet), ca. 15 min. fra stationen Sant'Agnello hvorfra der også går bus til Amalfikysten, og ca. 45 min.s togtur til Pompei. Og så gør det jo ikke noget, at det er et forholdvist billigt B & B. Porto Salvo får vores varmeste anbefaling Lees meer

Anreise: Das Hotel ist vom Circumvesuviana-Bahnhof Sant Agnello in 10 min gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir hatten sogar Rollkoffer dabei, mit denen wir den Anmarsch aber ohne allzu große Anstrengung bewältigten. Zunächst standen wir vor einem verschlossenen Tor und wunderten uns. Dann umrundeten wir den Block und sahen, dass es noch einen zweiten (offenen) […] Eingang gab. Dort war auch dann gleich die Rezeption. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und sprach sehr gutes Englisch. Sie hat uns alles gleich erklärt, uns sofort einige Tipps gegeben und ein paar Informationszettel in die Hand gedrückt. Darauf waren z.B. Pizzerien eingezeichnet, Läden, Post, der Abfahrtsort des Stadtbusses und andere wichtige Informationen über Bus- und Bahnverbindungen. Ausstattung Hotel: Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit 2 getrennten Betten (ein breites Bett und ein normales Einzelbett), sowie ein Bad über dem Gang gebucht. Beide Zimmer waren absolut sauber! Die Einrichtung im Schlafzimmer war nicht üppig aber ausreichend: neben den Betten ein kleiner Tisch mit Stuhl, ein TV, ein Wasserkocher mit Tassen und etwas Instant-Kaffee und Tee, ein Nachttisch und ein Schrank. Die Matratzen waren fest aber nicht zu hart, wir haben sehr gut darauf geschlafen. Das Bad war extrem geräumig. Leider fehlte eine Ablage für die Kleidung, daher benutzten wir den Stuhl aus dem Schlafzimmer. Die Badetäschlein stellten wir auf den Boden auf ein Handtuch. Ein Fön war vorhanden. Die Zimmer lagen im 1. Stock am Ende eines langen Ganges, es gab nur noch ein Nachbarzimmer. Daher ist man beim Überqueren des Gangs fast niemals jemandem begegnet, wir haben das Bad nachts auch gar nicht abgeschlossen. Vom Bad konnte man auch etwas das Meer sehen. Das Fenster vom Schlafzimmer ging auf den Garten hinaus. Übernachten und Frühstück: Abends war es bis 11 Uhr bei geöffnetem Fenster noch etwas laut, weil in einer benachbarten Anlage Musik spielte. Um 11 Uhr wurde es dann ruhig. Auch sonst war es im Haus sehr ruhig, abges Lees meer

Vi bodde på Porto Salvo i fem nätter.P.S ligger lite untanför Sorrento i St´Agnello, mycket lugnare o skönare än Sorrento.Vackert beläget, bra frukostbuffé, serviceminded personal.Vi längtar redan tillbaka. Nästa gång ska vi kosta på oss eget badrum.Klostercharmen sitter i väggarna och man stortrivs. En fördel är om man gillar att promenera, då det […] gärna blir en del av den varan, bussar finns också om man vill.
