Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island in Nadi

The beach isn't much at Denarau, but the pools are good, with adults only pool a quiet oasis. The beds are big and comfortable.

Our stay was very good. The only problem was having to climb over rocks to get from one pool to another and to get into the hot tubs which werent all that hot.They need rails to hold on to.

Great experience overall, great food, great location, great place. David the manager was awesome, everyone was so friendly and helpful, we lost an item but the employees there were very efficient and found it later, we were very pleased. the spa was the best. Enjoyed the gluten free pizzas at Neptune's. Cross restaurant was amazing. Kid friendly too. […] The pools were very nice. excellent location and good for families

After spending 5 days in a remote resort in the Northern part of Fiji, it was definitely a big change coming down to Denarau which is pretty much resort central at Fiji. In saying this, the staff were still extremely friendly especially with our 4yo girl who had a ball pretty much with every Fijian woman we met - they absolutely love children over there […] and ours was definitely a star! But if you are coming here for a quiet stay or to meet people people from other countries, you can pretty much forget about it. Fiji seems to be the new Bali for Aussies, and this was evident in all pricing being in Fijian and Australian dollars. Expect people getting on it pretty much all day and night, loads of drunken "Bulla"ying by yobbos taking advantage of happy hour and the likes. We did meet a few nice couples with kids by the pool which was great - it seems to be very popular with extended family vacations from kids, parents & cousins families to grandparents - it seemed like entire family trees were here in big groups everywhere. The food was acceptable - the star being the buffet each morning. For around $20 it is definitely worth it (however our child was not free), with fresh omellete's, sausages & bacon made on demand, to the danishes, pancakes, fruit, San Pelligrino - and even Champagne on offer, it's pretty good value. The rest of the meals were pretty much overpriced as they are everywhere. Don't expect too much from your Fijian dollar here, as all the prices are pretty much doubled to compensate for the good exchange rate. The rooms were ice cold which was great coming in from the heat, however ours had a pretty bad smell of mildew - I expect from being so cold and damp all the time. The king size bed was huge - but were really just 2 double beds put side by side, not comfortable if you are sleeping in the middle. Location is great for resort hopping, it's worth taking a walk along the beach to the next few resorts along. We ate a seafood buffet dinner at the Sheraton Lees meer

We were very impressed with the service and facilities provided by this hotel. We arrived at 6am fully expecting to be loitering around the hotel until the afternoon, but much to our surprise... we were escorted straight to our room. One leaving... same story... no issues extending our check out time to coincide with our evening flight. The pool facilities […] are IMHO by far better than any of the surrounding Danarau hotels. The happy hour was also the best with two for one drinks... without any restrictions.... whereas other hotels restrcit the drinks to 2 types of coctails... or offer a token discount. The staff were friendly (although Fijians are friendly by nature) and the service across the board was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of travelling to Fiji. What you expect your hotel to be. Clean and comfortable... Except 3 things: - wifi is not available in room. You can see other wifi of the neighbour resorts... but not this one in your room. You can access wifi in the Lobby and the pool area. - They gave us 6 pillows in a double room. All are very high! You would want them to be varied from high to […] low. - My TV does not work. I called house keeper, they sent someone who fixed it but the problem keep coming back. I had to call 3 times... in the end... Had a great time in Denerau and after walking through all the other hotels in the area I think the Radisson Blu comes out on top. We had great rooms with bedroom, living area, balcony and kitchen which made things great for a long stay. Staff were pretty inconsistent. Some reacted and met our requests immediately. Others tended to take the requests […] and do nothing about them, several times. I think this is more of a Fiji way rather than being specific to the hotel, nevertheless the staff at the Radisson Blu were the best. And they really helped us with a situation with the diving company. Watercourt and Cross were the best restaurants, probably in all Denerau!! Lees meer

The staff were great and welcoming. The only issue we had was twice we had to request towels, did not replace water in the room we used.

The Radisson was great. Location, dining options, pool and staff. It made the stay a great one. Will certainly come again.

I have zero complaints about this hotel accept one. The prices of food and drink are astronomical. I understand that you pay for good food served by the ocean in such a place as wonderful as Fiji, but... a meal for two adults and two children, repeatedly exceeded four or five times that of the same meal bought in the US even with the exchange rate considered. […] FJ dollars, at the time = nearly half the value of one US dollar. You would think that would buy you more, but the resort/ hotel simply quadrupled the cost of the food and drink to offset the exchange. Not cool. We were forced to eat in town and go to the grociery store. (check into that too because the food available in the towns grociery store is a culture shock to say the least. All drinks alcohol and none are no different. I would have to say that I could get the same drinks for 75% less in the states. Booze in town from a bottle shop is also as much as 5 times the cost, so I don't know what to tell you. Beer is about the cheepest way to go if you drink the country's own brew. Its not too bad actually and half the price of everything imported. Good luck, hope this helps. P.S. Happy hour was a pretty good deal. You can spend a week withtin the hotels premises and don't want to go anywhere. Impressive gardens and pools. Liked the adults only pool. Great food in different restaurants. Well equipped fitness room. Relaxed atmosphere. You'd have to walk over to the neighbour hotel (Sheraton) for a bit of dancing in the night. They had a festive house band. Denarau […] Island is not the real Fiji experience as the only Fijians you'll encounter are the smiling ones who work in the resort, but if relaxing is your thing, this place will do you good Lees meer

Everything you could ask for in a Resort. The friendliness of the staff was amazing.

If you're looking for white sand beaches and aquamarine water, don't stay here. If you're looking for creature comforts in a roomy, convenient, and friendly hotel, this is the place for you. We had the most fantastic holiday at the Radisson Blu Fiji. Rooms are spacious and modern and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful, cannot do enough for you. Surrounding gardens and pools are gorgeous and not to mention Happy Hour (2 hours of half price cocktails at the swim up bar). I initially booked this hotel because of the swim bar in the pool complex as it's something I always have wanted to do in my down time on a vacation. This hotel resort was the best holiday experience I have ever had and right from the get go the service was five star plus plus........ The rooms were very clean and comfortable and nothing from the […] staff (who were the best by the way) was too much trouble. The complex itself was fantastic especially the pool/lounge areas. I had a great massage in the Harmony Retreat Spa it was pure luxury! The meals were very reasonable and I would especially recommend the Asian cuisine in the Blu bar. Down town Nadi was in easy reach through the efficient hotel courier taxi service (don't bother with the local drivers as they have no insurance & the locals dont' like it) and best not too offend. Nadi itself is a thriving community made up of Fijian and Fijian Indians and there is plenty of cheap shopping available and local cuisine at reasonable prices. The people are great and I would certainly go back and for a much longer stay. If you are considering the Radisson I say it's a must!!! Lees meer

overall this is a pretty good hotel, everything is very good,except the internet cable in the room.(it didn't work,but someone came nd fixed it after third time we talked to the reception).their mission statement is 100% guarantee satisfaction,they did it! i lov it! definitely 5 star nd perfect location.

Located on Denarau Island, has great choices for dining to suit everyone. Close to Denarau Marina where there is shopping and more choices for meals. Resort has large family pool, excellent kids pool with waterslide, adults only pool and tiny tots pool with small slide. Watch the sun go down over the ocean and enjoy the 2 for 1 priced drinks at happy […] hour. Great rooms, facilities and meals. Very nice, modern resort. Has tour desk to book whatever you want to do. Thsi si the swecond time we have stayed at this Hotel. There is a new head Chief and as a result the dinning experience is fantastic! We enjoyed the aisin resteraunt but then discoverd Cross which is award winning! The Adult pool area is excellent for rest and relaxation. the satff as in all Fiji resorts significantly contribute towards the relaxing […] atmosphere. We ill return. Lees meer

Hotel was good but I was disappointed with the food in he restaurants.

Absolutely brilliant 5 star resort. Magnificent grounds with extra helpful & friendly staff willing to go that extra mile. Great pool, complete with pool bar ;-) Biggest bed I've ever slept in! Easily the best resort in Denarau, but most importantly not the most expensive. 10/10!

We stayed here for 5 nights with our 14 year old son in a one bedroom suite. Overall the hotel was lovely - all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. I thought the pool area was very good for all ages especially the adults only pool where you really couldn't see or hear the rest of the crowd. Make the most of the 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour! I […] had done my research on places to eat and would say that Cross was a bit overrated - the dishes looked spectacular but were overly fussy and some of the food elements were not to a high standard. The only other issue was the fold out bed in the suite for my son which was SO uncomfortable he couldn't sleep on it and after a couple of nights I complained and they brought in a decent mattress which fixed the problem. Of all the hotels in this area I think The Radisson is a great one for families but some of the others have more luxurious foyer/bar areas and all have better shops. I would also like to see free WiFi throughout hotels when you are paying top dollar. We would recommend this hotel to others and had a fantastic stay. Lees meer

The Kids Club in there is fun. Staff are friendly. Lots of entertainment.

We have an 18 mo old so couldn't use the kid's club but the babysitting services came in very handy for dinner and once during the day. The portable cot had a nice soft mattress and the dining areas all had high chairs. The room also had curtains that kept the room dark during the day, and the doors could be quietly shut for naps (not always the case!). […] There were plenty of other kids around, and the pools are fantastic for all ages. opulent resort offering all that is necessary for a good holiday for all types

Raddision pricing on food/ beverage is in line to 5 star hotel but the facilities, qualtity of food is not what a 5 star offers. We stayed but had lunch and dinner either at sheraton or Denarau port.

My sister and i stayed at the Raddison during the Jazz and Blues Festival in May 11, when we arrived we were customly welcomed, we then were told that we were being upgraded to a one bedroom suite. I was amazed,when the door to our apartment opened it was truely magnificiant. Because the Music Festival was in Port Denarau transport to and from was so […] easy on the "Bulla" bus, it came every 10-15mins at a very reasonable charge.The staff were very welcoming and helpful,nothing was any trouble for them. This hotel is what you would expect of a this class. The rooms were excellent though & more like a complete suite. Breakfasts also good with excellent choice - however the juice was not fresh (never understand why hotels do that!) - recommend instead to go for the fresh made smoothies of daily selection from the juice bar.

As long as you know what Denarau is, an area of high quality, Western style resorts near Nadi, without the crystal clear water that most people think of, you'll be very happy here. I always go to the Suncoast, about 3 hours north, where the water and views are spectacular. But after a 24 hour journey, nothing says comfort like the Radisson. I've stayed […] at all of the Denarau Resorts, except World Mark and Hilton, and I love the Radisson. Wish the restaurant prices weren't so high, but, that's my only complaint. Breakfast went up from a very reasonable FJD$25 to FJD$39 in 6 months! This is for a buffet with champagne and made to order omlettes, etc. Very, very good. The pool area is gorgeous, the staff friendly, and there were plenty of chairs. The sundeck is wonderful, and it was nice to walk up and down the beach, stopping at the different resorts for a bit of shopping. The rooms are stylish, and the bathroom is a real treat. We loved our stay at the Radisson. The gardens were beautiful, the staff friendly and service excellent. I would recommend and felt it was value for money. PS. the bed was huge!

The location is great, next to quality hotels, safe & secure, area beautifully landscaped, staff at this hotel and others are very friendly and helpful, the room at the Radisson is all you need as it has fully functional kitchen, dinning/living area, great king size bed, washer dryer, convenience store, etc. All in one place. Great Value!

We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay in a one bedroom apartment, it was perfect, the apartment is so well equipped we could have easily stayed a month (or two) the staff very lovely very friendly and helpfull. The pool areas are awesome especially the Adults only area. The only downfall was the meal prices but that is reflected in all the Hotels, Fiji […] needs to seriously look at providing some low cost Dining options. We found that catching the Bula Bus at $7 a day and going to the Port Denerau complex was more reasonable for dining. We had a great family holiday. Obviously Denerau is created just for tourists but the prices were astronomical. We paid between $20-$25 Aus for a cocktail which considering the locals earn about $2 aus an hour does seem excessive. The room and facilities were beautiful and the service was not typically 4.5 or 5 star however the staff were pleasent and […] generally available when you take into account Fiji time - which I felt at times was just an excuse for poor service times. I would certainly reccommend the Radisson if you were travelling to Fiji but would suggest you do not purchase food or drinks from the resort bars take your own and save heaps.... Lees meer

We stayed at the Radisson for 5 nights in a one bedroom room. The room was self contained and the bedroom had a king size bed. There was also a pull out sofa bed (note that the sofa bed mattress is quite uncomfortable if you are heavy and is probably best for kids to sleep on). The room was otherwise great and we would definitely return to this hotel […] again. We all loved the restaurants there. Pizza and seafood at Neptunes was great and kids loved the Blu dinner buffet and dinner at the Asian restaurant Water Court. We also tried the seafood buffet at the Sheraton which was great (oysters, bugs, crab, mussels, hot food including made to order) and a must try. My kids (aged 4.5 and 2.5) loved the Radisson pools including the water slide. We walked to all of the other resorts (Sheraton, Westin) to check out the restaurants and pools, and Radisson is definitely the best for families and the easy going atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful with organising our boat trips out to South Sea Island and Treasure Island. Great trip overall. Lees meer

Great room, a/c works well, really appreciated free internet! Food on resort a bit pricey, but have a good convenience store with good selection. Rooms exactly as advertised, pools great! Beach is dark sand and not as nice as the fiji islands you need to take a ferry to, so go there for a good taste of fiji.

Just returned from 5 days 4 nights with my husband and friends from fabulous Fiji - I have only good things to say about our stay at the Radisson on Denarau from the comfy king beds and lovely clean airy rooms to the staff who made you feel so welcome. The resort is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Food and beverage prices are reasonable especially […] happy hour at the swim up bar. The food was excellent from the breakfast buffet including champagne with the lovely hostess Paulini, and the Asian restaurant near the lobby being our favourites. We loved the private coves around the adults only pool - the big family pool with the swim up bar is also great as it has sails to protect you from the sun in certain spots and there is a kids club and kids pool - something for everyone. The resort also has a shower room so you can enjoy the pool up to the last moment, have a quick shower, throw your swimming gear in a plastic bag in onboard luggage and you are ready to fly home feeling so relaxed and refreshed. The only bad thing about FIJI is the ocean water is not so nice at the hotel and the main island. We took a day trip out and found GREAT looking water, but its a few miles out from the main land (where the airport is). Im not a huge beach person, so that was not a big deal to me. The pool at this hotel was probably the best pool I have ever seen at […] a hotel. There was even an adults pool, which was great. Then they have 2 happy hours at the swim up bar - loved it! And it was not over crowded, so there were plenty of chairs. There was even a pool with a water slide! Food was ok. Breakfast buffet had a big variety along with any dinner buffets they had. Vey good hotel, the staff was very kind.

Fabulous hotel - I visited on my own as a female traveller and I was made to feel very comfortable by the staff who were lovely and extremely helpful sorting out my lost luggage at the airport. I would definitely stay again.

We loved the Radisson resort and we can't wait to come back in 2011.
