dit hotel is meer dan aan te raden, nette kamers,heel gastvrij, binnen een kwartier ging de telefoon op de kamer en werd er gevraagd of alles naar wens was in de kamer en of ze iets voor ons konden betekenen het ontbijt was erg goed en lekker ,(oa super smakelijke omelet alacart), wat zeer uitzonderlijk is voor amerika

Super goed hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt en diner zijn van goede kwaliteit. Wel is het gehorig met het openen en sluiten van de deuren op de gang. Wanneer gasten midden in de nacht vertrekken, ben je tegelijk wakker.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"Zeer goede service en ligging hotel"
De kwaliteit van de dienstverlening is zeer hoog. Behalve de uitstekende ligging is ook de kamer op een hoog niveau. Gratis internet en dichtbij openbaar vervoer. 20 minuten met Marta naar luchthaven.
"goede afwikkeling klacht"
We zijn werkelijk zeer gastvrij ontvangen en kregen een hele mooie kamer op de bovenste verdieping van het hotel. De kamer zag er prima verzorgd uit evenals de badkamer. Alleen maakte de airconditioning een hels kabaal. Het lawaai was zo erg dat we elkaar nauwelijks konden verstaan. We hebben geprobeerd de airco uit te zetten, maar dat lukte niet. 's […] Nachts om twee uur hebben we ten einde raad de congierge gebeld en zij heeft na lang proberen de airco uitgekregen. Pas toen kon ik slapen. Dit heb ik 's morgens gemeld nadat ons gevraagd werd of we een goede nacht hebben gehad en ter compensatie kregen we ruim de helft van ons geld retour. Al met al keurig opgelost dus. Lees meer

"Two weekends in a row."
The beds are very comfortable, therefore, we stayed there two weekends in a row. This is a wonderful hotel in a great location with very helpful, professional, and friendly staff.

"I'd give the overall rating a 5, but......."
A Breakfast tray left outside a room, on our floor, was there for about 24 hours. We arrived, it was there, we came back from our event at 1a.m., it was still there, and then left later that morning. Guess what, same tray was still there!!!!! Doesn't anyone go around the hallways to check on this kind of stuff? Comfortable room with great ammenities. […] Bathroom a little small for two people to be in at the same time. Our view was of a delapidated buliding next door, and roof top air conditioner units. A very nice hotel with all the amenities--including free in-room internet, complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning and wine tasting in the evening, a pocket-sized map of downtown Atlanta, and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. "Needs an update"
We were hoping the Ellis would be a nice, delightful, smallish downtown boutique-type hotel with great service. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel needs cleaning and updating. Overall ok, not a disaster, but not a treat to be staying there.

"Fantastic hotel with a well-trained staff!!"
The Ellis has to be my favorite hotel in Atlanta. We stayed there over St Patty's Day weekend and woke up Saturday morning to a parade marching up the street adjacent to the hotel! We sat on the Terrace, which is a beautiful restaurant at the Ellis, and enjoyed the morning breeze, ate breakfast, and watches the parade go by. There are many great shops […] and restaurants within one block of the hotel. The staff was extremely nice, from waiters and valet to house keepers and receptionist. "Perfect location, excellent service and room"
We booked a room here at the last minute, just to stay somewhere close to the Tabernacle, where we had tickets for a concert. Ended up being wowed by the friendly service, modern decor and incredible comfort of the Ellis Hotel. We'll definitely be back.

It is fairly uncommon these days to find a real service oriented staff but boy did these guys know the routine. Friendly faces, cordial and informative conversations on the hotel and surrounding sights and important locations, eager to help and serve at all levels. We enjoyed our stay at the Ellis Hotel. I have no complaints except for one. When I checked in I was given a card for $15 off dinner. The lady who checked me in told me we could use it for either dinner or breakfast. I remember specifically thinking when she said that, it would be great for us since we are having dinner elsewhere we would be able to […] use it for breakfast. When we ordered breakfast the next morning, the lady who my husband spoke with informed him we could not use it. I told the ladies at the desk upon check out and they said I was "mis informed". I have stayed at this hotel before and it's usually hands down a five star experience. However, this second time was lacking for two reasons: there was a constant noise that we finally determined, at the end of our stay, to be the toilet, along with street noise (we were on the 8th floor) and I called in advance to request a refrigerator in the room […] and it never showed up. Hotels.com offers an awesome "bed & breakfast" package (includes free valet and breakfast for two) for the Ritz Carlton across the street. When that deal is not available, I stay at the Ellis. "Perfect little getaway location"
We went to Atlanta for one night just to get away. The Ellis is a great location and a nice hotel. We chose a local restaurant which was also very good, and enjoyed a show at The Fox Theatre. Both of these were within a few minutes of the Ellis. We parked in the deck behind the hotel which was fine, although a little pricey. "Nice hotel except for"
Everyone was very helpful and responsive to our needs except for the dining room. The head guy there was anything but nice and anything but helpful. Other than him, everyone else and everything was great!!

The place to stay -- room is good - food is good - location is unbelievable -- but more importantly, the customer service and the hotel staff are amazing! Only slight draw is the pillows are ok. This could be just my preference but not as "soft" as I would have liked. Take this for whatever its worth.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was in town for a New Years event downtown and it was really convenient. The restaurant was GREAT too. The hotel was PACKED and despite that, the staff did a GREAT job keeping up with everything. They were super friendly too.

"Hotel Ellis - Needs Wifi but Great Otherwise"
This is the second time I have stayed at the Ellis and it is a great place with very friendly and accomodating staff and very nice rooms in a neat building and convenient location. However, it needs wifi. While they had some internet system at the time of my visit I could not understand how it worked and the front desk did not offer me much hope that […] it would actually work in my room. This was a would-have-been-nice boutique hotel. The rooms were small but nicely decored. The staff was helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, at night you want to actually SLEEP in your hotel room. This is IMPOSSIBLE at this hotel because it is located in an area downtown that backs up to an ALLEY where they come and get the trash from various buildings beginning […] at 3:30am!!!!! The room I booked for was a bit small, but with a large bed for a friend, child and I. They called the room to see how we liked our room. We told them it small, but cozy and they offered to move us to a double bed room free of charge which was much bigger and with a beautiful view of the city. I will be staying there again!!

In short I was very please with the hotel. There was great customer service and I felt right at home. The only thing I did not like is that my view was of a brick wall. Other than that I would give them an A.
